Any possibility of having an invasion in Mercy and Atlas on 10/31 of Ghost, Specters, Witches and Ghouls? Some Zombies (not a lot all the time though because of the vomit stuff 😞 ).  Maybe Ghost Widow on hero side and Numina on Villain side? or you could reverse those and have them play along with groups.

Frankly, I had enough of Halloween events, having it for an entire month is truly too much, it needs to be cut down to just 1 week, the actual week of Halloween.

I can respect the perspective, but try to realize some players don't have the free time to play that you might have. If you wanted all the badges in the event, and you only had a couple of hours a week to play, that might be enough time, depending on if you were lucky enough to catch the zombie apocalypse and the banner event. It all depends on how much they know about various events/badges.

While I don't think we need to cater to people who only play sporadically, the past week I've just ignored Halloween, and candidly, across all levels, I haven't noticed it, other than having to choose which PI I wanted to zone into. That, and hami raids and msrs may take another moment or two to fill.

I don't play frequently so I enjoy the monthlong event.

But to Bionic_Flea's point, I would also like to see more invasions. I think a good choice would be witches because we have an abundance of them with both Halloween and Croatoa stuff. But I'd also love to see a Ghostbusters style apocalyptic event with every kind of ghost popping up --including the ghost ship deviating from its usual path through IP and Talos to eind up in even landlocked zones.

The event is already going on. A bit late to think about implementing changes to it for this year.

Halloween does go up a notch on Halloween, but it's because players go harder on their base stuff and other events.

I think this is a good thing. If players want to spend their Halloweens in game and reward other players for playing on Halloween, that's great. I love it. I'll probably spend some time in game on Halloween too. But I don't think that the developers should introduce content that's only accessible one day of the year.

Whoopsie! OP said on 10/31 specifically. That, as far as I know, is not already going on.

Whoopsie yourself. October 31st is tomorrow. For an event that started back at (near?) the start of the month. If you have a request for the event to be changed, it will need to be considered for next year. Deal with it.

Edit: As a reminder, the devs are unpaid volunteers working on the game in their spare time. It's Halloween. Most likely, the devs have their own Halloween events to deal with for themselves and/or their families. And asking for something to be changed the day before it is desired, or even a week before in the actual OP's case, is a ridiculous request for even a full time paid dev team to bother with.

Edited to add the missing "e" in "event".

They have been putting new Halloween stuff in:

  • I can't recall when but it was the HC team that brought in the EBs to Trick Or Treat with their badges
  • This year, EB badges now give prismatic aethers

Everlasting's Actionette and Sunflare and way too many other alts
Current Other Alt Fixations: Nightlight, White Fang, Netherbow

The Trick or Treat EBs always gave prismatics. I think they were introduced in 2023. I know I was working on getting prismatics pretty ruthlessly last October, and that it wasn’t a new thing.

And note that it's the badges that give Prismatic Aether, not defeating the EBs -- it was a way to get characters 10 Prismatics to buy their first holocostume with outside of running hardmode content, and was never intended to be a way to farm Prismatics. Once you have all five badges, all you get from the EBs is experience and a possible Halloween salvage drop.

I have a Ouija board with direct access to the devs AND a magic 8-Ball.  Both are 100% more accurate than you are!  BURN! 🎃

Yeah this is probably another reason they should just get rid of these kinds of events. I just ended up farming Prismatics, and I didn't want any holocostumes since I was just selling them to get enhancements. I didn't make characters just to farm Prismatics, I made characters just to have the characters later, but that's not a good mentality either. I don't think these events encourage good mentalities. I also don't know why people even use holocostumes in this game. I remember asking for the Lost costume pieces and people told me to get a holocostume, but I didn't want the Lost costume pieces to make a character look like the Lost, I wanted the Lost costume pieces so I could put them on my own costumes. As the YouTuber MitchManix put it, you can make your character look like basically anything in this game, I don't even get the point of the holocostumes, except some people in-game did say they were basically just collecting them, but that seems like a very "because they're there" mentality.

Quite a few of the holocostumes skin you in appearances you flat-out can't do in the costume editor, either because they abuse the costume structure in different ways, are sized outside the limits for character models, or the like. Some, like my Plant/Nature Controller Izporchennaya Zemlya, use the 'Voice of the All-Mother' holocostume on occasion for background reasons; my Bots/Dark MM Brigadyr uses the BCU holocostume for the same reason. But most of them are -- for me -- just fluff, and the same for most of the Halloween costumes (although they do give you a preview of what the holocostumes would be like, and ar a sort of enabler in that regard), with their only real use being enabling the "Whispered Rumor" tip drop. I'd just as soon have an option you could set, say, at the START vendor, to turn off costume drops during the Halloween event -- leave them on long enough to get a costume you're okay with wearing to get the tips, then turn them off so you're not clogging up your temporary powers list with an endless array of costumes you won't use.

Any holocostume which includes the ones you can get from the labyrinth work for Whispered Rumor (and House of Horror)
