IO advice?

What are some good IO's to get and use while lvling up I kind of remember there use to be an anit-knockdown one, and I think LOTG +chance for recharge was also one that if you slotted early you got some use out of it.

Performance Shifter chance for end, Miracle unique, Numina unique, Luck of the Gambler 7.5%. Steadfast 3%, Gladiator Armor 3%. As a sentinel you won't need  the KB protection IO, but that one's a Karma or a Steadfast.

Good list, and to add a couple ones:

- Shield Wall +5% res

- Reactive Defenses scaling damage resistance (which starts at +3% res even while full HP)

- Kismet +Accuracy (which is +6% tohit, excellent to help against defense or tohit debuffs, especially during the leveling phase)

- Panacea chance for +HP/+end (this is a costly one, but it's worth noting it's 150% as effective as the performance shifter proc, and it heals you on top of it)

Oh, really? I've sort of ignored it as an endurance recovery tool. Pines does not show the endurance recovery for it or the Performance shifter.

Preventive Medicine: Absorb Proc

Celerity: Stealth IO in Sprint (Coupled with SS you get full stealth, so can stealth missions)

 

Also, with attuned IOs now you can fill full sets to help you as you level, so it is not just the procs that we have all mentioned at this point.  I will start playing the market at level 1 and generally by level 27 I will have many of the IOs sets my character will need for my planned build.  Some sets I use on sentinels are Thunderstrike for Ranged defense and Decimation for some recharge and Build-Up proc.  You can also slot the AT specific IOs (or ATOs) early and they have good set bonuses and good procs.  For any melee powers you might have there are a few sets that can help with defense (Mako's Bike, Touch of Death, Obliteration, etc.).

Yep! Panacea does +7.5% end at 3 PPM, while Performance Shifter does +10% end at 1.5 PPM. So Panacea gives you lower bursts twice as often.

As for how much recovery it's roughly equal to, I could be completely wrong about this but I think in this case it still follows the formula described here: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Procs_Per_Minute.
 

That is to say, PPM * ((Activate Period) / (60 * Area Factor)).

Which for Performance Shifter, would be 1.5 * 10 / 60 = 0.25, and Panacea, 3 * 10 / 60 = 0.5. Every 10 seconds, 1 chance in 4 for Performance Shifter to proc and 1 chance in 2 for Panacea. *Feels* about right.

So at base endurance, +10 end / 40 seconds = +0.25 end per second. And +7.5 end / 20 seconds = +0.375 end per second.

Also worth noting the boost increases with your max end. So once you get the end accolades, you can raise those numbers by 10%.

Roughly speaking, I like thinking of Perf Shifter as an extra full slot in Stamina, and Panacea as a full slot and a half.

Agreed, I try to include the Preventive Medicine: Absorb Proc and the Reactive Defenses scaling damage resistance in all my builds because they lead to great survivability when living on the edge. 

 

I am 4 slotting health on a lot of my builds to include the key health procs (Numina, Miracle, Preventive, and Panacea).

I wouldn't bother 4 slotting health.  The Numina, Miracle, and Panacea are more than enough.  Sentinel SR can also take on a second Performance Shifter in Enduring.  Few builds ever *need* Regenerative Tissue, but if you can fit it in, go for it. [Edit, for clarity on why I feel this way.  You need several things for Regenerative Tissue to be worth the cost, and the 4th slot.  First, it is more efficient than a heal IO.  However, you need quite a bit in the way of hit points to make use of the regeneration effect of Health in the first place.  Second, you also need to have sources to boost your regeneration on top of the hit points.  So that 4th slot might let you recover 13 hit points per second over 12.  It can likely be better than that example, but for the most part it will not be a game changer.  Your slot and influence may have better value elsewhere.  If your damage/defenses are covered and you can spare it, then go for it.]

The Preventive Medicine proc can go anywhere.  I have had it go off even without using the self heal I have in Ninjutsu.  

Preventive Med is also a good one to consider for a full set.  At 6 pcs it comes with a slightly over 8.x% recharge bonus.  Reactive Defenses is similar too (same 6pc) and fits amazingly well in SR since it isn't slot starved.  The two of these can get you 17% recharge and other goodies with some reasonable investment.  These also have some slight endurance discount attached to them too.  They aren't dirt cheap, but sometimes they can get close.  I've seen Preventive Med parts going for 1-2 million and occasionally 3 million.  If you're patient, then low ball the sales because I think people are sleeping on these sets.

I'm probably not the right person to discuss optimized builds.  I am pretty meticulous in making my builds, but do not have the theory crafting or testing numbers to state what is good/bad definitively.  I go by what I like and the issues I face.  I generally slot heath as follows, mainly to help with endurance:
 

Panacea: + HP / + End (I am slotting this for the End and I usually slot it at level 10)

Miracle: + End (I am slotting this for the End and I usually slot it as early as possible)

Numina: + Regeneration / + End (I am slotting this for the End and I usually slot it in the mid-30s or early 40s)

Preventative Medicine: + Abdorb (I am slotting this for the Absorb and I usually slot it in the late build)

 

I also try to find a way to slot Reactive Defense: Scaling Resist Damage because I think it synergizes well with the Absorb proc for survivability.

 

That being said, I do not know that a DP/SR will need this slotting.  Enduring (according to Mids) provides 30% recovery and stamina has 25% recovery, so despite all the toggles the endurance management might be okay.  I would start my DP/SR build by adding the Panacea proc to Health at level 10, I would slot Stamina and Enduring with a Performance Shifter Proc and a Performance Shifter End Mod.  Then I would gauge how well it plays and maybe add another End Mod to Enduring, then an End Mod to Stamina, then maybe a Miracle.  It all depends on how it plays as you level.

 

I start my my characters generally with a full level 50 build and I adjust that build multiple times as I level until I get to a point where it performs to my satisfaction.  Hope this helps...

I've never run numbers, but I only have the Perf Shifter and Panecea end mods in my 50 DP/SR and I never worry about END. With an SR build the regen bonus is nice but it's not going to save you. The heal/absorb you get off SR will either save you when DEF fails or you will faceplant (which almost never happens). 

 

I'd say lean in more toward the scaling RES because that will stack with the scaling RES you get from SR and help more if things go sideways.

No worries. It means Crowd Control which has become the go to word to mean holds, stuns, sleeps. Anything that 'controls', be it you or NPCs, and prevents from acting.
