  1. I'm sure this is simply a setting in my account somewhere, but it's annoying. When I reply to a thread it always goes back to the root topic/folder and not the thread I was in. How do I fix that? Edit: As expected, it (and other things I ended up changing) are listed under the "Profile -> Modify Profile -> Look and Layout" menu.
  2. So there are things like Workshops (the S/M/L type) and a few other things that don't' work anymore. I think the mission portals are down too. Some of these things won't even load/act like they're interactive now. These things worked as of Sunset, so something's going on that's based on our current configuration.
  3. ^This^ I've been messing around with it tonight (after noticing extreme quiet while base editing). It seems to be a mix of things. If you edit the chat tab you'll either see your normal chan listing or the default (with none of the custom globals visible). Even IF the chans are visible, it seems like not everything is coming through. This is DEFINITLY related to the move or any patch that was enabled since.
  4. Heh, I just found the option (having lost track of the thread) and went looking for parameter options only to find the thread again. :p
  5. It 'looked' that way when I first logged back into the game after the migration, but I simply changed maps (was in a base) and everything came back. Maybe relogging will help too.
  6. Might I suggest spending more time in the LFG channel? I see no lack of team requests in there. This, it's actually quite distracting to have this channel open as it flows about as fast as the Help chan complains. :p
  7. No issues here...hours later
  8. Have you tried reinstalling/validating the game files? Maybe your initial DL was corrupted?
  9. That (everything above) said, I still think the save/load isn't working 100% as I find myself having to manually retype binds (until I make my own files to import) across characters.
  10. Didn't I read something that said it's a bad idea to use a folder with spaces in the name? Or is that just for binds maybe? Either way, mine is in C:/Games/COX/Tequilla and all other content is either in the root folder or installed in C:/Games/COX if not needed in the root folder. Also, I found that the game is quite portable in that (so long as the paths stay the same) you can literally copy the COX folder onto another location and play as if nothing changed. Mind you, if the rez or basic hardware is different, then you'll likely have to change some UI settings.
  11. Just something to bring up if it helps... The code for the game (the little I've seen) hard codes things to (Fe)Male/Huge. I'm not sure the global, in-game impact, but you also have NPC responses that are directly coded to M/F gender. It's how they setup the story vids as well from what I can tell. What you're asking is likely a modification of the fundamental databases that the game is built upon and that code is already spaghettified as of OG. Now if someone manages to spend a LOT of time cleaning up the core code and Then chooses to allow for such changes, then sure, we'd get much done in the game, but at that point we'd also need graphic artists and such, IE: a whole dev team like in OG.
  12. There are more Teleporters to choose from now and they don't all take up a ton of space. You could perhaps have a wall of "doors" setup and perhaps place the clickable part of the TP in the middle. I haven't tested it, but it "should" work.
  13. Due to the fundamental disconnect (and likely looking to avoid legal issues), the original CIT/Titan group has chosen to remain separate from the existing servers and has no plans to bring back CIT. That said, that doesn't mean somebody Else in the Homecoming community couldn't come up with their own thing. If they Did, then it'd be sooo cool and we'd love to see a mobile friendly version. ;)
  14. Let me put it this way, THIS system can run the game (IDK how Well, but it runs). It sat idle at 25FPS!! 10" NextBook Intel Atom Proc 1Gb RAM 32Gb Flash storage (For OS only) + 64Gb Micro-SDXC (Apps/Data) Win10 x86 (Came with Win8) Sure, I got warnings about old drivers and the KB on this device loses connection anytime I move, but hey, it's functional! I turned the GFX settings to baseline, sat idle in The Hollows, and even with players wizzing by I was stable at 25FPS. I'd expect this device to drop to around 10FPS if I actually played.
  15. I forgot to add that you should make sure your AV software isn't DELETING the game files. There are MANY complaints of apps like Norton straight up deleting the EXE because of false positives. To fix this you need to whitelist the root folder. IE: In my previous examples I'd whitelist the whole C:/Games folder unless you suspected an intrusion.
  16. Until you find a solution to this, then I suggest the following: 1) Make sure to keep the installation location simple; IE: I use c:/Games/COX/Tequilla 2) Install everything (add-ons and all) into the same, root folder; 3) Keep a folder of all the original files you downloaded in prep for installation (game installer, Mids installer, etc) and put it just outside the game's root folder; IE: c/Games/COX *** The following is more specific to the thread *** 4) Keep a backup of the COX folder if you find that outside forces are breaking the game; 5) Remember that just because a shortcut is damaged, that doesn't mean the game isn't intact; IE: You may simply need to goto the COX folder and create a new shortcut from the Tequilla app I've confirmed that you can simply take the COX folder, copy it to another location, and then play the game as if nothing changed (no need to reinstall). But I would suggest keeping the same folder tree. IE: c:/Games/COX
  17. I've run into the situation twice this week where via direct user action or otherwise the portal was moved from the entrance to another room. The result is a cage to anyone who attempts to enter said base until you get a GM (who can move freely in the base) to move the portal for you. The issue becomes that the portal and edit function become physically separated and thus prevent user self-fixing. I had something similar at first with mine, but managed to solve it. I tried to help someone yesterday where they simply changed the flooring in the base and suddenly the portal moved and prevented self-fixing.
  18. Ok, so for those who have started editing bases, you probably already dealt with this atleast once. 1) New bases have a stuck portal: IE, the first time you get into your base, you're stuck inside the portal; 2) Portal can be moved out of the entrance. Both situations result in a portal that you're trapped in. The former can usually be fixed by simply moving/raising the portal, but the latter is almost impossible to fix without a GM.
  19. At this point in time, "Under Construction" like the base. >.< The post referred to was a call for OG members that may happen to want to rejoin. Generally though, "my" group is thematic, casual, and even OG ended up being basically an alt house. The base is designed firstly around functionality and coalitions were freely encouraged (to share porters, etc).
  20. Character screen has been slow since the last update I think.
  21. I did....AFTER making a few mini-posts elsewhere. >.<
  22. Pretty sure it's server side to prevent abuse. Probably why we've never see an offline base editor.
