  1. Turn the UI scale down lower, then, and increase the window size.
  2. There's more companies and authors out there than Disney and WB. Even if they're too big to care, a lot of companies aren't.
  3. We don't currently have any policy against characters, Architect Entertainment missions, supergroup bases, etc. that copy or make homage to other people's trademarks or intellectual property. Reports of infringement will be noted, but no action will be taken*. However, that does not mean HC will never have any such policy, especially if Homecoming Team finds itself in a situation where it is required to comply with a rights-holder's cease-and-desist or DMCA takedown notice. (In short: it is fine now, but don't assume it will always be fine). * If you yourself are an author, artist or other intellectual property holder and a HC player's content is infringing on that, please file a ticket with proof that you're the rights-holder, and we'll talk.
  4. The UI scales more smoothly and consistently now, including the menu, chat bubbles and window text which were previously not scaled with the rest of the UI. "Automatic UI Scale" in User Interface links the base UI scale to your operating system scaling settings and the dimensions of the game window. Turn this off if you want to tweak the overall scale. You can scale individual windows with the /windowscale windowname N command, or the entire UI at one shot with the /uiscale N command, where N is the scale you want (N = 1 corresponds to 100%, N = 1.1 is 110%, and so on). If you want something closer to the previous UI scaling sizes, turn down the UI scale, then turn up the window scale to compensate.
  5. Take it down like three notches. You can disagree with QuiJon without insinuating that he's trying to exploit or be greedy.
  6. We'll cross that bridge when it comes to it. So far, the worst griefing problems we've had have been solved by just forcibly removing the offenders from the zone.
  7. If that happens, report it and GMs can reset the maps (and hand out punishments).
  8. Let's keep this thread dedicated to giving suggestions and limit our commentary and dismissals of other players' suggestions. "There's no such thing as a bad idea" and all that.
  9. Homecoming Team follows the principle of the "cottage rule" that Cryptic/Paragon established during live service. The crux of the principle is that the powers devs will need a very good reason to fundamentally change the primary way a power works (as opposed to numbers tweaks or secondary effects) because players who have chosen the power expect it to operate consistently in the future. I don't think "I personally don't like active mitigation abilities" crosses that threshold.
  10. Are you in the UK? There's an eBay store called "Steve Beer Games" that sells gaming collectibles. http://www.ebaystores.co.uk/Steve-Beer-Games?_trksid=p2047675.l2563&
  11. In summary: it wasn't supposed to be exposed to players in the first place, so it's going to go away eventually, but the devs understand why players want to use it, so when it's disabled, it will likely come with changes to allow inter-base teleports and improvements to existing travel powers (subject to feasibility and ease of implementation concerns).
  12. The minimum and recommended specs for Going Rogue are still applicable to Homecoming. Pretty much any computer you buy now that has any kind of discrete video card will meet those requirements comfortably, and even a lot of integrated graphics chips will do admirably well with it. If you're interested in giving building your own desktop a shot, the "Entry Level AMD Gaming Build" on PCPartsPicker for approx. US$520 is a good place to start for a computer that would play CoH well without going overboard on the budget.
  13. If there are zero players online, that is generally a sign of the latter.
  14. Yes, there is a delay between the servers coming online and the shards opening to the public.
  15. No, there are no plans to update Tequila to add this functionality.
  16. No, the list of launch options is fixed. You can't remove or rearrange them.
  17. Can you explain what you mean by "original account"? Did you make two forums accounts (and no game accounts)?
  18. You can't log in with your email account. You log in with your game account (the one shown in https://forums.homecomingservers.com/gameaccount/).
  19. There isn't much else to be said since Leandro's laid out the decision, the reasoning for the decision, and what's going to happen from here. The feedback's been taken into account and the devs have reached a consensus about what to do with it. However, people still want to voice their agreement or displeasure with the situation, so I'm not going to close the thread; people can continue to comment about the feature, while keeping in mind the fact that the decision about disabling it has already been made.
  20. Have you made a game account? You can't use your forum account to log in.
  21. But more seriously, while a bounty system might be possible in the future depending on how the current negotiations go, in the meantime your proposal's not possible.
  22. Once you've made sure you've wiped out the old .wine settings folder and have installed Wine through homebrew, follow the steps for installing from scratch in this thread: There's still a couple things you have to configure that don't make it completely fire-and-forget.
  23. Creo que no, pero nunca digas nunca.
