Malware bytes is OK. I used it a lot before I went to Win 10. There is some criticism I read lately about it in comparison to some paid services as I was considering returning to it but I think, for my peace of mind, I'll pay (this time). I could change my mind between now and October 24. Note that I never had a problem when I used MB. I'm sure my system could run Win 11 but I'm reluctant to risk it as parts of my overall system may become obsolete and non-functional faster than remaining with the [near perfect] system as is. "But that may be why I keep seeing the cry of doom from folks who seem to believe that once the support stops, bad things will happen to everyone who doesn't switch over." This is likely great marketing and subversive Redditing and Quora'ing by MS and of the worrying of the suggestible. There was word that MS may offer 'paid for support' for a limited time after end of support. But that potential just shows me that they had built obsolescence into the thing anyway. I'll also be considering Linux.

The only change you need to make after support for win 10 stops is to have an up to date anti-virus. For what it's worth I'll be looking at Bitdefender as it has the highest reputation (atm). Remember to continue disbelieving Microsoft.

I keep 1 shelf of any orange, 2 of yellows and a few of whites. Have needed to have 2 of orange just for keepsake but tend to restrict that now to 1 usually. There is nothing that you cannot get but I know having it to hand is useful as it is what I do. If I limit oranges to 3 of a kind there is usually enough stock to assemble most recipes as they drop. To streamline I expect I would be safe with 2-3 of oranges and same of yellows then dump whites in rest. I had read a while ago that HC will not let the orange market dry up. I have no qualification for that so take that for what it may or may not be. I usually build rares and store them in base. On one of my accounts I have limited storage and found that buying ad hoc is as easy as storage except without the hassle of arrangement. It's fun to have but if time is limited it is as easy to buy as needed.

I've played with TGONH on HC since like they got back on several accounts over the years, very nice n sociable folks. Edit : Not in been their SG though, only making up team numbers when pugging

This; it is why I have played for 20-ish years and it is what keeps me here. For some unknown reason once I'd discovered P.U.G.s I was instantly addicted to CoH all of those years ago and I learned the game through that and, 20 years later I'm still learning. The star system us great for identifying 'sore-players' and avoiding them. I have no problem with a leader forming a team to their own requirements, what irks me is being ignored for no reason whatsoever so upon that happening I g/ignore those who do that. Apart from that the game and the player base keeps on improving under the custodianship of our mature player base.

Great for multiple static mobs pity about the long recharge.

Not on HC AFAIK but I recall Thunderspy and another manifest (I forget which sry) allowed that kind of freedom in the creator.

99% of my toons ever (live and HC) have never used more than 1 LotG if there is one slotted at all. The most I've used on a single character is 2. I play mainly support. There are so many goodies to swap it out with but yeah, 1 is worth it at any cost. If slotting more at the expense of other set pieces and procs it seems non frugal within the limitations of slots. It does of course work out great for offensive AT's who want to commit fully to the min/max (apparently).

A few players mention scalping. It translates into gullibility. I don't complain about scalping prices. Reason being I don't pay scalping prices. If money is no object to you and you have no morals go for it. Complaining about it isn't going to stop it. Not buying at scalping prices is the only way to stop or at least deter it thereby leaving the profiteer with excess stock losing money (good). But as the adage goes "There is one born every minute."

My next high high end gaming PC will not exceed that amount.
