Yep. Although MA gets good +Def vs All in Storm KIck (for some AT's at least). Most "parry" attacks are melee defense only.

The suggestion is definitely not new. If the devs act on it, it would be very well received. I ... am not holding my breath.

I don't think Any armor set should have no holes whatsoever. Even Super Reflexes gets a nasty surprise when it's hit with non-positional attacks. Adding Toxic Resist, AND End Resist, AND Regen Debuff Resist, is much too much of an ask in my book. The devs of course, are entirely free to ignore my feedback and decide they agree with you. But that is my $0.02, take it for what it is, flame it if you wish.

Maybe not Lusca then, but like a Giant Monster version of Sally. Name it Lochie, or something.

I'd be happy with almost Any new MM primary. Primal Guardians, Elementals, Police, Divine Host, Dinosaurs, Duplicates, etc. Anything. I'd also be content with no new MM primaries, but some reskin options for the existing ones. To have Family style mafia guys instead of Thugs, or Malta-ish special forces instead of Soldiers, Knives of Artimis style minions instead of Ninjas, etc. I get that new MM primaries require a TON of work compared to any other primary. And I get it's all volunteer, and they're going to work on only ideas that strike their fancy. That's entirely fair. I may have to be content and wait a year or more. But there is definitely pent up desire for different kinds of henchmen.

They're never going to let us use Force Fields to crush enemies into chunky salsa. The sads.

Shirley, this has been mentioned before
MTeague replied to Lusiphur Malache's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Essentially a Mastermind, but with primary and secondaries flipped? I'm not sure I see the point. From lvl 30 onward, you would have access to all of the same powers, AND, your summoned pets would be a fair bit weaker, since the pets would be your secondary tree. That would be a necessary trade-off in order to have Defender level buffs/debuffs from your primary. -
If a %proc boards a northbound train leaving Pittsburg at 11:00 am, travelling at 95 mph, and another %proc boards a southbound train leaving Washington DC at 11:00 am, travelling at 80 mph, how long does it take you to realize this is a trick question? 😀 I agree with the main point, though. To the extent that factors in procs can be made more human-readable, they should be. This might require some kind of "pseudopet" tag on the power's detailed information page, so people don't have to guess which is and which ain't. This might require some field for "on-cast proc activation rate", and another for "ongoing proc activation rate", for things like rains or other non-instant powers. This might require a note about accuracy rolls used for procs for the given power. There may still probably be a point where the existing %proc formula can't be fully explained well in text. I mean, basic parabola equations are good for artillery in most conditions, but said equation cannot factor in the effects of a category 4 hurricane happening during a powerful earthquake. Newtonian physics is good for a lot, but when you want to do plot the right course for a spacecraft to travel to alpha centauri, it stops being good enough. Whether that means the formula itself ought to be simplified, is a fair question.

As it turns out, my Widow is at lvl 10 exactly. My current build is: items of note: this is a sugar-daddied alt. I have one +3% global defense proc in Indomitable Will, and I have a Panacea proc in health. I would not have these on a bootstrap-yerself alt. I did not take Combat Training: Offensive. Maybe I will later. But early game, a single Acc SO in my powers means I very rarely miss. Taking both defensive powers gives me decent defense in melee. Pop a single Luck inspiration and she becomes Quite durable. Although the passive heals from the Panacea proc help considerably, too. playstyle, at this level I treat the widow like a baby Claws/SR scrapper with mild range in dart burst. I pull mobs with dart burst, and run around corners to force things into melee range, because I *want* them to use their melee attacks. It's my best defense. Also, 3 of 4 of my attacks, are melee attacks, soo... yea, they better be in melee range!! After every mission I fill my inspiration tray with Lucks. Currently I run her at +0x2. Worked well when soloing Mr. Bocor's missions, and the Atlas Park mayhem.

My solution, and I would be publicly crucified for this, would be to make every proc a Unique. No more than one copy of it per character, period. That said, there's a reason I'm not a dev, and a reason I have never run a game company. I would drive away all my customers demanding they play my way.

It's not a question of ability. If I have a character who can naturally control fire and summon it into any shape, well, why don't I summon a fire blade directly into the enemies mouth, or eyeballs? Why are they wasting time forming a sword from it? At least magic, I can understand there are long traditions of magic blades.

Debuff auras placeable on both allies and enemies
MTeague replied to WindDemon21's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Be careful what you wish for. They may say OK, if it you can keep the toggle up permantnly on an AE around your tank, we have to nerf it's effects by 25%. -
When escorting an NPC, let the NPC follow you while Stealthed
MTeague replied to DrRocket's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I sometimes teleport past Lady Grey and proceed to clear the path as best as I can before I "rescue" her. It won't stop spawned ambushes after you retrieve her of course, but I can at least clear the static spawns. -
When escorting an NPC, let the NPC follow you while Stealthed
MTeague replied to DrRocket's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I have repeatedly asked for either an NPC leash, so they don't need to see me, just follow the tug of the leash, OR, a temporary power to pick up the NPC in a fireman's carry. Even if my ability to attack is 100% grayed out while I'm carrying the NPC, with even Fire Aura's and the like forcibly turned off. -
I can justify Fire Sword and Ice Sword on Magic themed characters only. I cannot stand them with any other origin, not even mutant. Your milage may vary, that's just my own personal rules when I'm creating a character. I would love alternate animations that do not include an elemental blade.

Heroes are a bad loan risk. Too likely to get killed before they can pay it back. Now, maybe a Base Equity Line of Credit (BELOC), if you have a really well designed base, but if you don't make payments on time, the bank will seize your SG Base.
-
You can fight Battalion right now. He's a Hellion boss in a low level blueside mission. EDIT: More seriously, I would not hold my breath. From the developer's point of view, there is no point to publicly committing to that until they have something they're happy with at least 90% coded. Because you know the moment they publicly commit to it, the forums will go wild with thread after thread asking "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How much longer? Are we there yet?". I don't want the devs to have to pull the City over and turn it around and go home because we over-nagged them.

A controversial topic: Is it time to make items scarcer or cost more?
MTeague replied to Troo's topic in General Discussion
This is among the reasons I wish incarnate powers had never been enabled outside of iTrials / arcs / missions specifically designed as incarnate content. But who knows. Perhaps the Law of Unintended Consequences says that if I were to ever get my wish, it would make other aspects of build-demand even more widespread. Either way, I'm unlikely to ever find out. -
But maybe I want a Roht, God of Hammers.
-
Name it "Throw Weapons". Don't marry the powerset name to the look of shurikens. Even if it starts out with just shurikens, we want to leave the door open for the possibility of throwing knives, throwing axes, throwing hammers, etc. I mean, Electric armor and a throwing hammer has potential for a God of Hammers sentinel.

Is It Time to Resurrect Statesman?
MTeague replied to The Witchfire's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
To what purpose? Just to have him standing around? Good, bad, or indifferent, if we see someone take up the mantle of Stateman again, I'm pretty sure it will be the other Marcus Cole. And sadly, I don't mean the Babylon 5 Ranger. I mean Tyrant. -
A controversial topic: Is it time to make items scarcer or cost more?
MTeague replied to Troo's topic in General Discussion
Any changes now, would be a massive boost to people who already have tons of resources, and massive screw job to anyone new. So. Being mindful of that, I think the only way to make content truly scarce / rare, AND make it fair, is to forcibly reset all characters to lvl 1, remove all enhancements from all existing characters, remove all influence from all characters, remove all items and influence from all emails, and prevent AE from being a source of influence or drops at all. .... and then, when we no longer have any players whatsoever, there will be a fresh, pristine economy, glistening like white snow in the morning. /sarc, in case you missed it.- 145 replies

Concept for Galaxy City Revamp: 'Reconstruction'
MTeague replied to mechahamham's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I mean, Galaxy City is in the middle of downtown. I could see them rebuild that (at least start to) before Baumtaun. Although I will admit, I've wanted to see more progress on Boomtown rebuilding for ... a raelly long time now. -
A new Archetype (The longest of longshots)
MTeague replied to Billbailey96's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
It is my favorite Blaster secondary. Though I have a tendancy to mispell it as Marital Combat, which sort of recalls "Mr & Mrs. Smith"
