  1. Generally, the henchman-buff powers cause slight graphical changes to the henchmen, as a visual cue that the buff is active. That wouldn't be possible in this case, not if the henchmen is supposed have a look based on your current costume at time of summoning. Still. I think most people would be OK with that. It's not like that graphical change for the pet buff is all that easy to spot for every MM primary, anyway. I'm on board.
  2. Another option could be to roll a Stalker vs a Scrapper (I don't think any Stalker armor set gets a damage aura). Dark Armor is great thematically for Stalkers. You are one with Shadow. There's also the Sentinel option.
  3. If the devs choose to take up this suggestion, that's entirely up to them. I don't really see the issue though. You don't specify your primary powerset, so I'm going to assume Dark Melee/Dark Armor, just for the sake of the argument. lvl 1: Smite lvl 1: Dark Embrace lvl 2: Shadow Maul lvl 4: Murky Cloud lvl 6: Touch of Fear or a Pool Power .... I never have to take both the T1+T2, and I never have to take the damage aura if I don't want it... so.... why change it, again?
  4. I'm sure Sherman-Williams stands ready to mix up any color you need it to be.
  5. I would far rather see them as alternate animations to existing powersets, than have a powerset fully devoted to them. .... But I suppose that door was first opened with Assault Rifle, and only widened by Archery and Beam Rifle.
  6. "Are you Hermione, goddess of wands? That wand was to help you control your power, to focus it. It was never your source of strength."
  7. Even tanks and brutes have resistance capped at 90%, no matter how many set bonuses they have, so I don't believe 100% is ever going to be acheiveable. That said, yes, your resistance to resistance debuff, is your resistance. So if you have 90% resistance to Smashing/Lethal, but only 40% resistance to negative energy, your smashing/lethal resistance won't move hardly at all, but your negative energy resistance will be impacted much more strongly.
  8. City of Heroes: Portal Edition. 😀
  9. Unleash Potential is like a mini version of Instant Healing and popping a pair of Luck inspirations on the side. It's a great "Oh Crap!" button.
  10. I was going to disagree with that, until I remembered Humans Being Humans.
  11. I definitely got a Port Oakes newspaper mission this morning at lvl 6. I can't swear to 5, but 6, I can confirm.
  12. The continued non-existence of Clown MM's, despite six years of requests, tells me HC devs are unlikely to have any interest ideas with a silliness factor on this scale, even if it might be fun for a fair amount of the player base.
  13. Blueside and Redside, I find myself using "No Xp" for about 60% of all missions when levelling, to fit in all the story arcs that I want. Sure, Ouro exists, but my warped OCD demands I do a certain amount of story arcs on the levelling curve instead of powerlevelling to 50. That said, I would not be opposed to contacts having a wider range of levels.
  14. See, if each ranged AT could only choose from 3.75 powersets (I'll be generous and round up to 4), that would make sense. ie, if Blasters had only Fire Blast, Ice Blast, Assault Rifle, and Energy Blast... and nothing else. And if Defenders had only Dark Blast, Radiation Blast, Psychic Blast, and Archery ... and nothing else, etc. Then, only then, would I concede that your comparison is in any way apples-to-apples. Otherwise, sure, you're manipulating numbers like the best of the spin doctors. (And for the record, I would not want those restrictions in place)
  15. Brutes have 22 primaries. Scrappers have 21 primaries. Stalkers have 18 primaries. Defenders have 17 primaries. Blasters, Corruptors, and Sentinels, have 15 primaries. Tankers have 14 primaries. Controllers and Dominators have 12 primaries. Masterminds have 7. Before any other AT gets a new primary, I think Masterminds should either get a new primary, OR, have henchmen reskin options for each primary, OR, have some degree of customization for henchmen, however limited. The devs are of course under no obligation to listen or agree with me, but MM's are definitely in need of some love. Acknowledgment: HEATs and VEATs have even fewer primaries, but they were designed from the get-go to have be configurable by 1-2 sets with an extremely large number of power selections. Along with the shapeshifting of HEATs and the Specialization options of VEATs.
  16. Well you have a decent array of KB-to-KD slotted, so that's certainly one way around it. But a something like /bind Q PowExecName Burst of Speed would let you quickly bamph around the battlefield to tele-punch any ragdolled foe and then immediately follow up with the kick(s) of your choice. And having a key right next to the WASD makes it super easy to use seamlessly on the fly.
  17. I concede the overwhelming majority of players I've encountered have no interest in RP. Even I tend to banter more than RP. But my experience does not match yours when it comes to KB. Most player reactions I've seen have been "meh" as long as mobs are dying and the team is steadily pressing forward. If it matters, I tend to do most of my teaming in TF's or lower level content. I'm not a fan of incarnates, and tend to avoid most 45+ teams unless I have a specific goal in mind. Perhaps this means I tend to encounter a different arena of players than yourself, perhaps not. All I can say, it's what I've seen. Cheers.
  18. If player powers also get a Hinder level, susceptible to NPC's controls, I'm OK with that. Powers like "Clear Mind", etc, should boost the Hinder level, meaning higher control magnitude would be required to affect the target (PC or NPC)
  19. Such a power already exists. Whether or not it has the same recharge time that you recommend, I cannot say. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Veteran_Reward_Powers#Assemble_the_Team [EDIT: er... wait, dammit, now I'm not sure. Don't know if ATT summons across zones] Ignore me. I apparently know not what I speak of.
  20. Knockback is hated by some. "Most" or "Vast Majority", I find doubtful. Majority of those who post on the forums perhaps, of the entire playerbase... that's another question entirely. I have been kicked for KB, but it's been rare. Whether that's because the rest of the time people sucked it up because the FF bubbles were worth it to them, or because they honestly didn't give a darn, no one can say. People may have opinions, but we can't reach back in time and interview those specific players. Worst case, you can always form a team yourself specifcally saying "KB friendly team forming!" and the haters will most definitely not join.
  21. As much as I want to support this suggestion, I cannot, not while it nullifies Repel as well. Hurricane plus no one being repel'd? Yes, thank you, but that would be Seriously OP. I mean, if the Devs want to go for that, make no mistake, I will abuse it on my Storm Summoning characters, but that would be a big power increase.
  22. I want arm cannons like the PPD Shells / Hard Suits have! Probably not happening anytime soon, but for a tech-based hero, an arm mounted point of origin for the blasts would be awesome for nearly every blast set.
  23. Maybe they thought it was a trap / you were bait?
  24. Probably maps where 1/2 of the minions use Tactics, 1/2 use Freezing Rain, and both types use Dominate as their bread-and-butter attack. Anything that rips your defense apart, hurts your resist, and stacks the heck of the Hold magnitude. Then sprinkle in anything else. Maybe Lieutenants with Darkest Night or Hurricane to savage your own to-hit? Along with some Master Illusionisst bosses for pure cruelty?
  25. For a zero-influence option, there's always the Shivan Shard available in Bloody Bay. My Mind Controller picks one up on a regular basis, so even low DPS builds can totally nab them. You just have to weaken-but-not-kill the firebase turrets, and then when they're all low, you zip around popping each one in rapid fire. Technically you're at risk for being pvp ganked when you go to Bloody Bay, but on both Excelsior and Everlasting I've never been attacked in Bloody Bay. Not ONCE in years.
