  1. Oh, I'd just swapped out Irradiated Ground with Radiation Siphon, and put Hecatomb in there (wasn't sure what else to get): Shield-Rad build (Second Draft).mxd
  2. Should I give up the T9 for it, you think? EDIT: So folks think I should give up Irradiating Aura?
  3. "World's Most Interesting Bomb".....
  4. Side note, a better case example of when you need this sort of power: Let's say you're in a mission, "Kill the lead baddie and his minions," and the lead happens to be in a place like the pool room, a multi-level cave section, etc. If you miss ONE minion in that room, getting him marked on your map requires going back through the map and killing damn near EVERYTHING else, even if it wasn't required for the mission in the first place.
  5. Thanks, that's what I figured. Do you guys think I should swap Irradiated Aura for Radiation Siphon? I'm slightly worried about not having enough attacks.... EDIT: For those reading on phones, the only attacks I have multi-slotted are Contaminated Strike, Irradiating Aura, Devastating Blow, and Atom Smasher. So one toggled aura and 3 direct attacks, 2 of which are slow and have long cooldowns....
  6. Thank you! I didn't realize Mids accounted for things being toggled! Is that why my damage is lower, too?
  7. So this is what I put together, but I can't seem to figure out why my damage and hasten are so much lower than yours....the only difference was I swapped out Superior Blistering Cold for Armageddon, as I didn't have a targeted AoE attack to put it in Shield-Rad build (First Draft).mxd
  8. Just for general purpose tanking. I've heard about each of these sets being great, but haven't seen much in the way of commentary about the two of them combined, at least for Tankers.
  9. Okay, the last FEW if I'm not sure what floor they're on, or there's a cluster somewhere, etc. The point still stands =P
  10. Agree with this topic wholeheartedly. Even at least changing COLOR would be a massive improvement....
  11. Think like Daredevil, Spider-Man, or Superman. Not gonna lie, mostly just want something to FIND THAT LAST GODDAMN 5TH COLUMN IN THE POOL ROOM! I'm imagining some powers would include an accuracy buff, a dodge bonus against ranged attacks, and an enhanced perception, limited duration power that also let you see enemies through walls and/or spot them on your map, akin to x-ray vision or super hearing. Might also be cool to be able to spot an enemy's relative defenses and resists, though I think that data is all online anyway.
  12. I was going more thematic counters than tactical ones. Like Captain America vs. Winter Soldier.
  13. Well, frell. That puts serious limits on the scope of projects they can realistically be expected to carry out....
  14. Oh, I hadn't heard they were going to stay nonprofit!
  15. So wait. Let's say it takes 5K a month to operate. Are you saying that if the donations go well, and they receive 7K donations in a month, they CAN or CANNOT pocket the extra 2K? (Sorry if I'm being obtuse on this, I just wanna make sure I'm not in error on their situation).
  16. I'm a bit confused now. I thought the whole reason for PayPal donations was so they could only take EXACTLY as much as they need to operate at-cost? Like if they need X amount per month, they're deliberately rejecting any donations over that amount? And then I presumed that IF things go well with NC Soft, then they'd be able to take unlimited donations, and either pocket whatever extra they got (rightfully so!), and/or use it to hire help with coding?
  17. I was thinking it wouldn't be random, but that there would be set points in both arcs in general, and dedicated arcs in particular, where you run into them. Like they just HAPPEN to always show up at the end of the Arachnos base in Atlas, for the first time, but certain NPCs also now have story arcs revolving around thwarting your nemesis. Like I said, I'm heavily imagining a "Gary Oak" vibe.
  18. I thought that they'd be able to take unlimited donations if it went through?
  19. No idea, but I assumed it would be a ton, but was maybe something they could work on IF the deal goes through with NC Soft and they're able to actually get PAID for the work they do. Posted here more because I was curious if it was the kind of thing more people thought was cool.
  20. Also, some are more thematic contrasts of something similar, like DP vs AR. Far from opposites, they're REALLY similar in terms of type of person who would use them (like Malta). Or Psi vs SS, think Brainiac vs. Superman, or The Leader (I know, wrong AT, but work with me here) vs. the Hulk. I was also thinking of MA countering itself, and same for some melee weapons. Katana vs BS, it's similar but different styles, and still coming down to the question "who is the better swordsman?" You could also try and dive into ATs countering eachother, but that's a WHOLE OTHER can of worms I don't feel qualified to decipher.
  21. The only problem being then people are incentivized to pick a rival build just so they can trounce them easily. That's why I figured making them have the same AT as you but different powers would make it interesting.
  22. Well, it'd work better if "Lord Nemesis" was actually Lady Nemesis, and saw herself as the wrath of the gods....but then, there's the Furies for that, etc.
  23. So reading the descriptions for powers in Time Manipulation, a lot of the debuffs have added effects and/or are more potent if the enemy is already under the "Delayed" status from Time Crawl. This lead me to believe that it was a key component of making proper use of Time Manipulation as a set. However, when I looked through a few builds for my Time/Beam defender, it seemed like most didn't bother adding more than maybe a single slot to it, max. Is it not really that vital a power? Or does it already just get whatever boosts it needs typically from Set bonuses in other powers? Do the Time Defenders here use it much?
