  1. I always thought safeguards and mayhems would be fun if this was introduced as an optional mechanic.
  2. For me the biggest barrier is infamy/io's. It takes time to craft a build on mids and purchase io's for pvp to play the "sub game" that is pvp. As an old man i have to choose pvp or pve often times. And usually end up with a blended mess of a build.
  3. I guarantee that people like tehartic (who i spent time on discord with) and many others would bend over backwards (literally in artics case cause i hear he is flexible 😁) to help.
  4. Whats punishing? Curious cause for example in diablo hardcore pvp you lost your toon forever and all the time invested. In coh you respawn. Maybe get taunted in /b by some ahole (but thats very very very rare, and often just sarcasm/teasing).
  5. Considering the stigma pvp has, how could we get some of the anti crowd to try it? My preference is zone play. I know the arena crowd has tried super hard to get more involvement. Just curious what might make someone try it.
  6. Id get rid of crafting and SOs and lower. Id also like to see drop rate/inf rate increased. I want IOs on all my toons and I wanna make ALOT of builds. Ill never have the time to manage that, unless i played on test... Which i guess is kinda like street sweeping in pvp zones (empty).
  7. Thats what made zones sofaking great. Hot spots in sirens have a point/objective, and a story. And a reward for winning (zone buffs and temp power sales). Was sofaking fun. Closest ive seen since is gw2 world v world.
  8. Fyi im not interested in open world pvp or flagging. I like coh/hc pvp as is (of course i defer to those who understand balance better). I just like playing the zones. So many fond memories from bloody bay to rv. And here i was only talking about the zones. I like the objectives.
  9. Not so much worried about attack chain. Just maps and times and any outside buffs. If you get a chance hit me with the map number. I dont think ive run that one (but ive heard of it). Just wanna see how far off i am timewise.
  10. Ill have to try that. Ive usually done twisteds asteroid maps sub 5 minutes but really built to afk farm. Reason I latched on to your post was the comments about spines. Id like to compare apples to apples. You use p2w? Or base buffs for those times? Or second + accounts on follow?

  14. I couldnt afford to keep the p2w buffs going all the time on a level 50. I think thats a rich people problem. I usually buy 8 hours of all 3 at level 1. After that only special situations.
  15. Maybe so. Then again this thread itself (including me) is full on don quixotes trying to change playstyles in a 15 year old game. Most of you would hate my suggestions. Like increasing drop rates and infamy in content and pvp zones to compete with ae.
  16. In fact some who prefer power leveling are already prepared. They have alternate ae and contact/arcs ready for when/if this happens. Some players will often be a few steps ahead of developer nerfs. Trying to stop players from taking advantage of the code is like chasing windmills. Might as well focus on making it fun imho.
  17. It takes awhile to put a build together in mids, even a bad one if everything is slotted (ie not like I posted an empty build and said HELP). And you dont get to 35%+ defense and resists, 2090 HPs without some effort. I asked for some advice cause clearly I wasnt doing it right. This wasnt theory craft I played the hell outta this build, and the first one I posted. They definitely work and dont die. I just found them boring. Omega (thank you good sir) offered constructive criticism (ie a build and specific problems with mine). You just piled on. Yours was the mean post.

  21. Ac phased out, that choice of words made me smile! I work with 3 phase and DC voltage for electronics (up to and including very high voltage DC for radars). 48 here and a good buddy we called Old Man JC is probably in his early 50s now. True story, I got my current job through him 15 years ago. Met him playing CoV via ventrillo, when my job in Michigan went south got my interview in louisiana and 15 years later still with that company. I also think an Old Folks Home SG would be pretty cool.
  22. Thats my one and only farmer. Tired of farming so looking at something more well rounded. I like fire armor cause of fiery embrace increase to damage.
  23. Ive got a maxed out spines/fire. Played ss/elec, ss/fire, ss/regen on brutes (plus many tank combos). So was looking for a content and nice end game combo. Not planning to AE it, but some combination of content and occasional PL through some slow levels.
