What about a doppleganger set. They look like whatever you do when summoning. Then you can go roman or whatever you want theme. They could do a mix of Psi and lethal damage and would be a little like Illusion controls Phantom Army. If you want different looking summons then change costume before summoning.

Energy Melee/Bio Brute T4 Musc Core, T4 Assualt Core (active), T4 Degen Core, T4 Ageless. Best time was 80 seconds with 2 misses. Worst time was 91 seconds in 5 runs. average around the mids 80s. I think a dedicated Pylon build sacrificing survival could well get close to the 70 second mark. The build was not a pylon only build. I started with no fury built up. Better times than the SS/Bio, by about 10 seconds, but i still prefer the SS as it has better AoE.

I think /shield is best on a Tanker due to the ATO proc, but you give up Scrapper damage for it. If you want a heal you could always try EA.

Footstomp can slot an FF proc. Rage buffs epic pool attacks. Rage gives +to hit also. Rage crash is a PitA. You could put a Miracle proc in the gamma slot for extra recovery.

A /Shield tanker can get 70-80%+ to all resists except Psi with the ATO proc and incarnate capped defences woth 90%+DDR solo. Add some outside buffs from teammates etc and the resists can cap easily. Unbreakable defence and resistance at cap. Resist sets can cap resists and can get decent defence from outside buffs but the defence is easily strippable as they have no DDR. Defence sets can also get a Max health powers built in which resists sets do not get at all. As the content gets harder it makes a difference.

Defence sets definitely seem to fair better as the content gets harder than resist sets or heal sets. I can do 801.5 on my /RadA easily enough but if i step into 801.7 it is almost instant death lol. It is built more for damage but i doubt going more tanky would save it 😛. /Shield or /SR for example have a much easier time. If they can not break through your defence you will be stupidly hard to take down.

One thing to note is that a Scrapper won't need as much survival if a Tanker or brute are around as they will grab most of the aggro. The scrapper just needs enough to survive and if you are in a team you will probably be buffed anyway. Solo is a different matter though.

I say test them also, you may not like the rage crash etc. EM is better single target and SS is better AoE as Without_pause states. For Tankers though who get increased radius to attacks, i would opt for the one with the better AoE personally and stomp the groups and let the team focus on the boss. But that's just my preference. Get the resists up first then you can proc out if you want more damage or you can build more set bonuses if you want more survival. Defence is just a bonus but i wouldn't build for it on a /Rad, unless you want to go full on Tank, as it will easily crumble and rad has quite a few survival tricks already. Taking down mobs faster also increase your survival and if you are against something extremely tough then the chances are you are in a team and buffed to hell anyway.

You could always have Build1 as super Tanker and a dps Build2 for the other 99% of the content which it is more than tough enough for. Expensive though having 2 builds. -

Would this proposal actually change anything in WP? barely. It just makes more sense to have a T9 that covers the weakness of the Set and S/L is not a weakness the more exotic damage types are. Yes WP has defences but with very little DDR. I see it more as a quality of life and not a completely outrageous suggestion 😛 Adding some DDR to SoW whilst activated would be nice also lol. I have played pretty much every AT and set in this game. I main tankers mostly and i have a pretty good comparison to draw from.

It was only a small buff i was thinking that may help a power i found a little underwhelming not the set as a whole, though i do find it behind other sets. Not a big deal really. I have only ever suggested very small changes for WP that i thought might be an improvement.

I am not saying SoW is bad i was just thinking the resists could have been more equal to help boost the resists WP is weaker in, more like RoP. When the defence debuffs role out WP can fail quite badly. My Bio doesn't because it has other heals etc to back it up. Even ITF isn't a problem at all and 801.5 is doable which i doubt WP can do. 801.7 is just instant death unless you are /Shield or something which is also a damage set lol.

Yes. i just like to have it on auto. It's ok though i have worked around it, gaining more slots to use elsewhere. My survival went up with the rework also. If you click manually though it won't make a difference, i am just lazy 😛

Above shows the build going from 89.92% S/L resist to completely uselessly overcapping. I guess on io/So's it is valid though or those who don't take tough to have this power up 40% of the time. But is Unstoppable fine also? just use Io's and don't take tough or temp invulnerablity etc. I was just trying to help WP where i thought small improvements could be made but a lot of you think it's perfect as it is so ill leave it alone and stick with my Bio which is just so much better but /shield is even better again lol. I have built WP and found it was lacking hence my suggestion but my opinion doesn't matter. Regen is fine also :P

I seem to find the way around it is to keep the recharge just over 30 seconds. Doesn't seem to happen then. I know it has been mentioned before but i was just playing about with it, trying to figure what was going on.

Of course it does. But the fact is it gives twice the S/L resists than the others and the other resist types are what Willpower is weaker in. WP is already very strong in S/L and a lot of builds cap it without SoW. It is a mediocre T9 and along with other T9s needs a look at. This is an easy quick fix that will not affect anyone in a bad way nor make it OP. I just don't see how a power described as a strength of Will should be better vs S/L than the other resists. Does the skin harden to become more impervious to cuts etc? Surely psionic should be much higher. Rune of Protection even offers better resists without a crash.

But if you increased the other resists to the S/L levels as i mentioned it won't even affect you. Maybe they would reduce the resists by a small amount if they did this, but it will still be a better T9 than it is now. SoW only lasts 2 minutes anyway. So you won't lose you will just gain.

It seems that if your recharge is shorter than the 30 second duration of the absorb when Ablative Carapace is reapplied it reduces the absorb by the amount that is left from the previous application when AC is reapplied. So it might be better to keep the recharge with FF procs etc above the 30 seconds if you have it on auto. The downside is if you are under heavy fire and the absorb is dropping to zero fast you will have a slower recharging AC. But if you have a faster recharge of under 30 seconds i have seen an 1800 absorb reduced to an 81 absorb which doesn't replenish until AC is reapplied 30 seconds or so later. So either don't auto apply it or reduce the slots in it and reduce any recharge in AC. Anyone else seen and tested this?

Could Strength of will from Willpower get its resists evened out please? The biggest boost it provides is to Smash/Lethal yet the set inherently has strong resists to those damage types anyway and is often wasted on many builds. Where the set is lacking is in the other resists. Could the F/C/E/N/T/P resists in SoW be boosted to the same amount as S/L even it it means reducing the S/L resists a little? I just think SoW would be more fitting if it resisted all damage types evenly rather than S/L mostly. It is not like the skin hardens to resist S/L more it is from sheer willpower to resist whatever is thrown at them.

Super Strength is number one for me. Depends if you can live with the rage crash.
