  1. I spent 10 Years in Navy Aviation, and every squadron I had contact with had a Rob Bird. A Bird that we would pull parts from (Break), so that the other Birds could make the mission (Fix). This removes your "period" statement. As for MM Pets you had one set that was not making mission, and the other was, and it was required that both make the mission. Sometimes shit happens, and sometimes shit has to happen. I'm not saying that Castle did not screw up, I'm just saying that you cant sit in your chair, and say that something should not happen... unless of course you know the CoHV MM Pet code. If so then maybe you should be fixing the code instead of telling us what a shit-bird Castle was.
  2. Right... so the person who votes for the Incumbent President should have a stronger vote then the person who votes for their opposition. Yes, it's called majority rule, where everybody's vote has equal weight, whether your for or against.
  3. This is a major paradigm shift and I like it. Why not just port some Melee and Assault sets over to the Corrupter, and if the individual sets synergies with some or all of the BD sets great, if not, oh well. CoHH is not CoHV, there is no need to protect us from us; document it (Preferably with an idea of a fix.), and move on. If a Melee or Assault set just does not work with any of the BD sets drop it from selection until some CoHH Dev decides they would like to take a look at it. If there is a combo that is OP so what, there are already AT combos that are doing +4/8 content. If the Melee/Assault-BD combo is so OP that it disrupts the game then drop the Melee/Assault set from selection until some CoHH Dev decides to look at it. We could have a vote here and decide the top 5 Melee and Assault sets to port over to the Corrupter to start. I Vote for Savage Assault Martial Assault
  4. These were designed from the start and none of them has as large of a change in tactics as a KB to KD, unless of course you do not believe there is a large tactical difference between a longer Knockback, and a Knockback that is turned into a Knockdown.
  5. I guess I should have said "knowingly" used Opportunity. I had never played a Sentinel before (One of the reasons I was viewing the Vid.), so I did not know what to look for. If I remember right he took his T2, which is how I play ... unless I'm playing a Sentinel and trying to benefit from the damage buff of Opportunity. My experience with Sentinels has been that the MOB often dies at the Opportunity attack, which means I will not see the target under the MOB, but the Opportunity bar will drop out, essentially wasting Opportunity, which I believe is what happened in the Vid. Though I had no fricken clue at the time. Hells it seems like at least half the time I get an Opportunity the MOB dies on the next hit, which it probably would have done without the Opportunity. An Inherent should minimize Murphy's impact as much as possible by using the KISS principle, and the Sentinel's Inherent is definitely not KISS.
  6. Wouldn't a KB to KD make this IO set way over powered, unless you were to drop the % of Def and Recharge.
  7. Oh come on, no suggestion is 100% accepted, it's ludicrous to suggest that someone should not make a suggestion that will adversely affect another player. Also just because you like the current Sentinel Inherent and thus play them, does not mean that your opinion holds any more value than mine. I dislike the current Sentinel Inherent which is clunky to use, unlike every other Inherent (Other than the Dom, which I also dislike.). I watched a Vid of a CoHV player getting back into CoHH who chose a Sentinel because it was new, and they never used Opportunity, because it was not obvious what it was. I've read the Opportunity description a few times and I'm still not sure exactly how it's supposed to work. Hells at least half the time the MOB is defeated/dies when I do an Opportunity. Am I supposed to switch targets when Opportunity pops? If so does Opportunity make it worth while that I have a MOB beating on me that would be dead/defeated otherwise? I'm all for changing the Sentinel Inherent, though I'm kind of wondering why this thread is in the Suggestion Forum, and not in the Sentinel Forum, being it's a brainstorming thread and not a suggestion thread.
  8. Bullshit... CoHH could be shut down right now if the CoHH Devs decided they are tired of playing with it. You do understand what a hobby is... right? CoHH is not about profit, in fact it is the opposite, and does not need a large player base to keep going. What it does need to keep going (Unless your willing to take it over.) is for the current CoHH Devs to continue running it, and from what I have seen part of the CoHH Devs fun is improving CoHV, and we do not want the CoHH Devs to get burned out and say "Fuck-it, this aint fun anymore.", just because we the players are trying to task them with things that we the players can take care of ourselves. We need to get it in our heads that CoHH is not a for sale product, and that the CoHH Devs are not fucking paid employees.
  9. You have this and this with a shitload of MMO gamers who are still pissed off at NCSoft, because CoH is not the only Western MMO shutdown by NCSoft. To have them come back and complain about something being used that they abandoned seven years ago, just brings that anger to the surface for me. I don't give a fuck that NCSoft used to own CoH; they abandoned it and did not properly secure it, so it's ours now... as in the whole Western MMO Community, and if we wanted to we could force NCSoft to play Wac-the-mole, until the internet shut down. How much money could be raised to force NCSoft to leave any MMO they abandoned alone, and in the process stick it to them, if we the Western MMO Community chose to do so. I would not directly give a cent to NCSoft, but would give a bit more than a cent to give-it to NCSoft... and I don't figure I'm the only one.
  10. Longevity, keep pace... what the hells do you mean by this? CoHH is a 15 year old game that was raised from the dead by the CoHH Devs, and in my opinion it's better than CoHV was at its shutdown, with all of CoHV's micro-transactions that are free now, and the improvements that the CoHH Devs have added. The CoHH Devs might be fricken kickass Necromancers, but they still have only so much time to work on what is essentially a hobby.
  11. While thinking about your statement for a bit I realized something... why in all hells would I want the Devs to spend time on something I can do for myself? Well I wouldn't. If you want changes made to your Keybind, then do it yourself. The CoH Devs gave us the ability to do so and here is a Guide to Keybinds to help you out.
  12. Sure the Devs could do this, but for me it would have been a total waste of their time, because I have totally re-written my Keybind File, and one of my first actions with a new character (And as an Altaholic I create a lot of new characters.), is to go into my characters' email and from an email I have in it, I copy and paste the path to my Keybind File. R is my default for rest, and that is what I press when I need to rest... for every character.
  13. It might not help the conversation, but it does help your thread by keeping it on the front page, just as this reply to you does. It does not matter how many times a person says No/Yes they are still just one opinion. The Devs are going to look at the data presented and the number of opinions on each side of the argument, not how many times someone has posted their argument... well I hope so anyways. Now this probably will not help the OP to get what they want, but In my opinion, all powers should be able to be slotted with IO sets, and maybe there should be some Universal IO sets made that could be slotted into the powers that cannot be slotted with IO sets. This has been suggested in other threads.
  14. For me, it's because the Brute is what the CoH Tank should have been, a Heavy Hitter that can take the damage, and is easy to play. Point me out a Sup Tank that cannot deal the damage as well as take it, I cant think of any. Hells, in the first Avenger movie, Hulk sucker punching Thor off the screen and body slamming Loki where hilarious, and the punch he did to that what-ever-you-want-to-call-it is memorable. Hulks ability to take damage just allows for these events. As for this pathological need to be needed by many Tank players... no the CoH Tank AT is not needed, because as has been pointed out numerous times, no specific AT is needed in CoH. CoH broke the trinity right from the get-go, with its Buffs/Debuffs and Holds. If you want to bring a Tank AT, bring it; if someone objects to having too many Tank ATs then drop the group and find/build another group, but note that nobody who knows CoH is going to bow down and kiss the dirt or say hallelujah, just because a Tank AT has joined the group.
  15. It is constructive to this thread, it's adding data and opinion... it's just adding data and opinion that does not validates your suggestion, which is not asking for a tweak to their defense/resistance, but asking that WI and Kuji-In Rin be allowed to be slotted with Def/Res. In CoH terms, allow them to become Slot Mules... unless of course you just meant Def/Res Es, and not Defense and Resistance Sets as well. Are you just asking for Defense and Resistance Es to be allowed to be slotted? Me, I have no issue with Slot Mules, and I have a big issue with protecting me from myself, so despite what I think about how the OP has dealt with negative feedback... I'm for allowing WI and Kuji-In Rin to become Slot Mules.
  16. Cosplay is a world wide phenomena. New York Comic Con Attendance 180,000 San Diego Comic-Con Attendance 167,000 Comiket (Japan) Attendance 730,000 This is not 2004, Disney and DC would be insane to come after CoHH, because even though we are small, the internet allows us access to a much larger group of people. A group of people that does what you say should not be done in CoHH, on a much bigger scale.
  17. I believe this statement is about balance, and that you are all about keeping BD down at the Support level of other MMOs, and protecting your Sentinel which you have mentioned numerous times in this thread. People will run a Sentinel because they want the protection of FF & SR, and the range attacks of the Blaster, but don't want to mess with the clickies of FF, which is part of the disadvantage of BD... having your primary protection being a clickie is part of the balance equation whether you want to recognize that or not. When people started to complain about the clickies of FF they should be directed to the Sentinel; I would be very much against turning them into Toggles because FF is a BD set not a Armor set. I also believe that I have said all I need to say in this thread.
  18. Of course FF is going to need to be tweaked, it needed to be tweaked as soon as CoH released. PFF could be turned into a PBaOE +Def/ -Acc toggle, kind of like Time's, Times Juncture. This would make it both a Buff and Debuff. People have been trying to loose DF since CoH released so loosing it should be no real loss, but if it were toggled it would make for a unique Hold. FB could have -Acc added to it and its knockback reduced, to bring it back into a Buff/Debuff power. Maybe DB will need to be turned into a clickie or it's Def reduced. I'm sure someone would holler about RF, RB, and FB being tweaked, but they need tweaking to reflect that they are part of a BD set, not an Assault or Manipulation set. IS and DS are both clickies, unlike the toggles of Armor sets, this give an advantage to Armor sets. Maybe the +Def of the set will need to be tweaked to account for the FF being able to use them, but there is no reason to turn FF into an Armor Set unless you believe that the BDs of CoH should be weak like the Support of other MMOs.
  19. Why are you turning FF into an Armor set? Though what you have done does sound like it might make for an interesting Armor set.
  20. Support is a Trinity definition and CoH has never been a Trinity. Support is also a frame of mind,,, for many people, the frame of mind that the Support is there to focus on them, thus Clerics are just supposed to heal, and Kinetics are supposed to run with Speed Boost, and all are supposed to group, and if you don't do these things then your being selfish. Sure, so FF a set that is all about reducing the chance of getting hit should do just as well as SR, another set that is all about reducing the chance of getting hit, and IMO this should be for the FF user, just as it's for the SR user. The only difference between the two power sets is the mindset that Support is supposed to be week and about the group, while Melee is supposed to bring damage... well most of them, and able to solo. My mindset is that a FF solo, should be just as protected as a SR solo... this is fricken CoH, not a Trinity MMO.
  21. I'm going to push this... my Corrupters, Controllers, and MMs do not 'support', we have Buffs/Debuffs and Damage. My BDs will buff sure, but my focus is on debuffs and damage, as much and as often as possible. I'm not on the back line with pom-poms, dropping the occasional heal on the Tank. I do not understand this thought process; why should the numbers for the Buffs be lower for the individual, than for the group? Shouldn't it be the other way around; the group has multiple people adding to its power, while the individual only has themselves to add to their power. The only purpose I see is to make the BDer weak so they are forced to group, which was the original intent of the original CoH Devs. Again... BDs should not be forced to group, nor should they be a weak link in a group, just because they have buffs.
  22. And even though FF is the ultimate Def Power Set... the FF should be required to to select 1 specific AT and be paired with 1 specific power set (Out of 43.), and 4 specific Power Pools, and 4 specific Pool powers (Including one power that affects the way a character moves?), and spend 18 slots, to get to Cap... really??? Maybe Super Reflexes should be tweaked to account for the Tank AT, and Dark Melee power sets, and for all of the pool powers that provide Def, and have to spend 18 slots as well??? It's time for the "support" mentality to go back to the other MMO's, and allow the Buff/Debuff ATs to buff the fricken user of the Buff/Debuff set.
  23. Hey, don't forget about the Controllers. One of the worst of these "dead" powers is Kinetics's, Speed Boost... the power that everybody in the group wants, and many expect from the Kinetics AT (Including the ATs that has Kinetics as a secondary.). There have been thread storms in the old forum about people not carrying this, because there were people that where adamant that because Kinetics is 'support' that if you grouped even 1% you should carry this power. Of course most of these people had never run, nor ever would run Kinetics.
  24. So my allies can be safe in my group... because of me... while I can faceplant in this same group. What your saying is the Support AT should be the weak link of the group, just because their Support. Also CoH is not just about the group; I should not be penalized if I want to run a Controller, Corrupter, or MM solo. There are Support sets I will not touch, because I mostly Solo. As for this, really???
  25. FF is a Specialized Defense Set, but it does not deserve the same ease to the def cap as Super Reflexes... for the user... just because it's a Support set?
