  1. In terms of game mechanics? YES it IS another "currency". Simply because it's a DERIVATIVE of another currency doesn't mean it's not a currency. And if they can create currency storage in a base, there's no reason for conversion. Just make it Inf storage from the get go.
  2. I know this because I've made an ass of myself a few times with things like this. ALSO, the FF proc DOES NOT STACK. So having 2 copies doesn't mean you get 200% Recharge boost. Nor that it lasts 2x as long. Just that you have more chances of proc'ing within a given time period.
  3. Sounds like you guys need CIT...
  4. I don't think you're actually getting more DPS. The calculator's showing you getting about 210.8138 for 3 EPS My original build's doing 215.99 for 2.46 And this is assuming you're at full recharge 100% of the time. Which you ARE NOT. Your Recharge is NOT higher. You're getting a couple seconds of burst speed from Shield Charge on the FF proc. So, IF it procs, you get a momentary boost of a couple seconds. If you don't, you don't, and your steady-state Recharge is 116% The FF proc is one of those "gotchas" that people miss during Parry's mostly superfluous in both builds. As they're BOTH above Incarnate soft-cap for Melee. If you have this build on an actual toon, I suggest trying it out. I'm fairly sure you're going to run into at least MINOR End issues. I know my Frankenslotter's got to be careful Some of which can be offset by getting your Accolades. Thanks for the feedback in any case.
  5. This is just a tentative build. Currently sitting at 45 with ROUGHLY this build. All common IOs and frankenslotting. My familiarity with SD is is nowhere near as close and automatic as Invuln is. So for those of you with experience, can you savage this build and let me know where you think I can eke out more damage and/or durability? Leave it at the Alpha slot. I pretty much know what needs to go into the remainders. This is going to be a twinked build. So don't worry about cost/availability. I'm liking it a lot as is. But I have dominant Min-Max genes.
  6. Ask Linus Torvalds about dealing with a plethora (El Guapo: Do joo know what a PLETHORA EES?) of different grades of unpaid programmers is like...
  7. Do it during an off period. Go in, grab screenshots and create a Word document with the instructions and illustrations. Once done, print it to PDF. You're only really changing about 6-8 things. You can do (and UNDO) that sort of thing in under a minute.
  8. You ever managed a large game programming project with a group of geographically diverse programmers of all manner of varying skill levels and expertise?
  9. Sorry if I sound callous here. But are people incapable of documenting their resources? Or setting up known "Twink" characters?
  10. I've had instances of Bashful (the dropship) not spawning. Hence "Bashful". The higher level sidekicking can reduce XP earnings (slightly) for the raid. The higher level enemy spawns offset this, but reduced kill speed is a side-effect.
  11. Bases are, at this point, completely a solo game. They can be publicly useful to the community in general. But control of said base is a solitary thing. They're essentially Fibber McGee's Closet (points for those who get the reference!) with a nice interface.
  12. I swear (ALL THE DAMN TIME!). I'm not THAT creepy!
  13. Okay, if you're just using it as a shared alt-salvage for Inf, what's the point? Pretty much all funds in the game are transferable (outside of some Incarnate stuff) via the e-mail system. And you can transfer INF to friends already. Why do the devs need to go to the trouble of creating a super group penny jar? And what purpose does it serve to needlessly convert it back and forth to Prestige?
  14. This is normal. This is a game engine limitation. The game will only render so many entities at the same time. Doesn't matter how mega-beefy your rig is. I'm rocking an AMD Ryzen9 5950X and an NVIDIA 3070Ti and it still does it. So full leagues will ALWAYS have this problem. Spawning pets exacerbates the problem. Ironically, pets are a partial solution. You can set them to simply run wild and target THROUGH them with /ASSIST, so you don't have to go hunting for a target.
  15. Part of the problem is that the raid is VERY data-heavy. So it has trouble keeping everything up. Turn off sending buffs for: Your teammates Yourself Your pets. This will cut down on unnecessary traffic and should improve game performance. Menu --> Options --> Windows tab. Status Window Buff Display, Group Window Buff Display and Pet Window Buff Display Last option in each section is "Stop Sending All Buffs". Set them all to ENABLED. I generally recommend that everyone on the league do so. It cuts server traffic enormously. Also, just for gits and shiggles, do a VERIFY on the game files just to be safe.
  16. My DP/FF Corr is a BIG Dave Mustaine fan. So whenever she levels up "SWEATING BULLETS!!!"
  17. To be fair, the build was never meant or delivered as an operating build. It was simply a brute force concept to show some (not all) options for maxing Resists out. It was nothing more than proof of concept so those seeking to chase the dragon have ideas to expand on.
  18. Basically, is this JUST going to be a gaming system? If so, the Intel chips are more economical at this juncture. If you plan on doing real work with the machine and want as much grunt as possible (SQL, VMs, etc), the regular 7000 series is currently a better buy. The situation to wring performance of of the 7000 series chips in games is an utter hack. Using the XBox bar to turn off half the chip? PASS! This is a sign that the X3D platform isn't quite ready yet. So, if what you've got now meets your needs, fine. The only reason I could justify building my rig during the middle of COVID scarcity was the fact that my original rig was on its way out. I'd popped the SAS controller and thus couldn't trust the motherboard anymore.
  19. I dunno. Currently running a Shield/Broadsword Tank. Noting that some enemies just stand there and never move when taunted. Certain levels of Nemesis soldier do this. I can pull almost two full groups away. Whack them, then go back and scream at the remaining guy. He just stands there and tries to shoot at me, even though I've ducked around a corner. Never moves. I have to go out and thump him.
  20. Yeah. 70's American TV could NEVER have gotten away with a naked transformation scene.
  21. Linus (TW/EA Brute) He IS the MOST SINCERE!
  22. Mr. Stan Lee (Rad/Rad Defender) LISTEN UP TRUE-BELIEVERS! M A P L E (Shield/BS Tank) Por Q Pine (Spiines/Bio Brute)
  23. What the Hell? (DB/Fire Brute) LOOK AT HIM!
  24. Uncle Truck (Inv/Staff Tank) My nephew as a little kid couldn't QUITE wrap his tongue around "Uncle Chuck". Still, a damn site better than Uncle "Synonym for a Rooster" And my cousins ever only got as close as "Gockie"
