  1. Think about what's happening. You're actually displaying more visual field than normal. This means you have a higher rendering load. So this sort of drop in performance is to be expected. I play with my FOV maxed out. We're not twitch-gaming, so the loss in performance is an acceptable trade-off for the amount of visual field gained.
  2. Now I have a nasty picture of "Fur Bikini" in my head. I was never a fan of this style of "coiffure"
  3. Well, you're not slotting Punch with anything worthwhile. Leaving stuff unslotted just offends my OCD. It's "messy". CLEAN YOUR ROOM! And yes, you won't get anything out of Kick if you don't use it. But my OCD demands SOMETHING go in there. And my inner Min-Maxer demands it be something that could, technically, be USEFUL. *Drops a boulder-sized Force-Feedback from orbit.* !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I'd probably try to rebuild it in a modern version of Mids. It's likely nothing has changed. Then again, I could be wrong.
  5. He's using an older version of Mids.
  6. Agreed. You can build some STUPIDLY resilient Resist-based builds (Fire/Elec/etc) And sure, you're not "unhittable". So what? Most of the downsides of that just disappear in a team based environment.
  7. Friends shouldn't let friends waste Endurance.... 😉 Punch, if you're only single-slotting it, isn't really delivering anything. And there's nothing really clever to slot in there. Kick at least has the Force Feedback proc. As PLVRIZR says, it doesn't fire off all THAT often, but at least you're getting a chance of SOME sort of benefit out of it. Kinda like playing the lottery.
  8. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS!
  9. To participate? No. To gain Vanguard Merits? Yes.
  10. Okay had a chance to revisit. Here's how I'd attack it.
  11. I'm a giant non-fan of Spring Attack. The Damage is too low and the Recharge is nuts for something you're having to spend THREE ancillary power slots on. I'd swap for Impale. Finding that Ninja/Beast/Athletic Run + Sprint are perfectly acceptable for most travel. Toss in the Jump Pack and maybe a Jet Pack for the rare occasions when you need more sustained air time. Also remember that you can run around with Tough turned OFF. Because you're STILL at 90% S&L Also Punch <<<<< KICK. At least you can realize a rare, but actually beneficial effect from the power.
  12. I say again. MINING. This is not "within spec". Mining rigs are little torture chambers for components. PERIOD.
  13. No. You stress a device hard enough, it will eventually fail. Whether your periodic maintenance is good or not. This is why dedicated racing engines are periodically "refreshed". Where they get pulled apart, inspected and components will occasionally be replaced. Here's one such. A non-promod Chevy Big Block. Was installed LAST YEAR for a street-class drag racing setup. And has been driven REALLY hard. This is basically the analog of mining cards. They WORK this way. And can last a long time. But it's not how these cards are MEANT to be run. And small changes can lead to BIG problems in continued operation. And yes, humidity factors are one of those "small changes". Because you'd be a rare bird indeed to see a similar issue on a card that spent it's life only serving in gaming machines and not doing mining.
  14. For auto powers, you're looking for maximum Healing improvement. For toggles, you're looking for lowest Endurance cost for maximum Healing improvement. For click powers, you're looking for max Recharge for max healing improvement.
  15. First I've seen this (been busy in the last couple days). If this is the case, it simply reinforces my mantra to NEVER trust mining cards. Like buying a car with 100,000 miles (put on in 5 years) that's been drag-raced with no periodic maintenance (fluid changes, belts, spark plugs, etc) EVER done.
  16. You're assuming the radiation being leaked is something deadly. Remember, visible light is still radiation.
  17. The problem with Stone is that YES, it's quite literally the toughest thing going. But the tradeoffs for that toughness quite simply do not mesh well in the current paradigm of the game. Want an ultimate Hami Tank? BOOYAH! Want to NOT get left behind on pretty much any other teaming activity? Turn off half your build or use something else.
  18. Use at your own risk...

  20. The 6800 and 6900 aren't "this run". They're 2 year old parts that're seeing an uptick in failures. And right now, it appears that some of the control software in the driver package is at fault, though yeah, a the software alone shouldn't allow the part to run out of basic spec like that.
  21. Apparently 6000 series cards running the 22.11.2 Adrenalin (WHQL) drivers are starting to experience card deaths. Possibly due to driver-induced core overheats/thermal over-protection faults causing die-cracking.. Right now this is a "something to be careful of" issue. As the root cause is only guesswork and in a limited pool of cards.
  22. If you haven't FOOBAR'ed a build in Mids, you've never used Mids.
  23. Have the client verify your files.
