Preference I guess. I prefer to be above soft-cap with zero enemies in range. Mainly because pure Typed and pure Positional are rarer than hens' teeth. Then, if something's dumb enough to close to melee range, I'm immediately in danger of "suffering" Incarnate soft-cap, and in mass groups I accrue a huge buffer against DefDebuff. In the Dream Doctor arc, I can jump into the Mott/BP ambush mission at +4x8 and NOT immediately die. WITHOUT using Incarnates or Inspies. Again, one of my guiding principles is "There is no "overkill". There is only "kill" with ever-greater confidence levels.." And such a setup provides high confidence levels for me. Does this make 99% of the content in the game superfluous? Yep! But I'm a Tank! They're SUPPOSED to nuke me from orbit! How ELSE will I wake up in the morning?

Okay, something is terribly wrong with your build file. It's showing, EVERYTHING TURNED OFF, and you're registering Vectored Defenses IN EXCESS OF INCARNATE SOFT CAP. You may need to rebuild this thing from scratch. Had to turn everything off and turn it back on (TWICE) to get the numbers to match a complete recreation of the build into a new file.

This person thinks characterization of a villain is some form of player critique. Were they ALSO similarly offended by the original Praetorian "Tyrant's boning his granddaughter" storyline? Use of language in description and characterization of an NPC is in no way an attack on YOU. In the real world, people use graphic, ugly words about lots of things not aimed at you. And that is just taking into account ENGLISH. And there's DOZENS of languages spoken on this planet. If you don't like the words used? Don't use them. Don't consume that content. What you do NOT get to do is demand changes simply because you are "offended" about something that isn't a personal attack upon you or any class of real person. If you're STILL unable to live with it, may I suggest you find a server community more amenable to your prejudices.

Unless you're in PVP, you've made a mistake. You could also go with a Peacebringer. With perma-Lightform, you can cap resists, build up decent Defense and you're a shapeshifting pseudo-Tank.

No. Granite is not automatically the "Go To". With the advent of unresistable, essentially auto-hit damage, the downsides of Granite simply don't make sense. If you want to still be the toughest thing out there? Sure, build a Granite. But build it AS AN ALT-build. Here's a Granite-centric build that's aimed towards movement and sealing up the Psi Resists.
