  1. Sim sim, sallah bim! YOUR WISH IS GRANTED!
  2. I'm being facetious. Take what you want to take. Play what you think is "fun". If someone has a problem with it? #BooFreakinHoo
  3. Here's a few suggestions to get you thinking.
  4. Sure there is. It's called "Invulnerability. It isn't QUITE Stone, but it has NONE of Stone's crippling drawbacks.
  5. Hyperstrike

    Rad/Energy

Rad is a "Resist Uber Alles" build. Trying to half-ass it by trying to acquire super-high Defense basically leaves you an egg shell. Because the second they crack your Defense, having sacrificed your Resists, you die.
  6. The basic point is, in CoH, there are certain angles where it IS possible to have "too much of a Good Thing". With Regen, a Brute is already sitting at that point. And the "solution" to that is to be able to choke up enough burst damage that they essentially DIE before getting the regen together to heal any damage. SR has a similar problem with anything that can reliably crack Insane-O defense numbers. But updates have happened since the inception of SR that give it other survivability tools.
  7. Hyperstrike

    Rad/Energy

He's come to a fairly decent build without going absolute "Blood From A Stone." He can also compromise with his Alpha. He can go Resilient, then turn off Tough, leaving him with 83% S/L, better Resists than Cardiac, and nearly identical Endurance consumption (Card: 0.97, Res: 1.02)
  8. Uh. Well... Uh... You kinda forgot to put most of Dark Melee in your Dark Melee dude! Also ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS turn off the Yellow toggle in ANYTHING with a Force Feedback proc in it. It'll mislead you as to +Rech performance. I know that people love to have Quadrillion-Percent Recharge. *CLICK!* "How long's the Recharge on that power?" "About 360 seconds..." "How long is it for YOU?" *CLICK!* But in this case, slow and steady wins the race. On the DPS calculator, you're pulling about 287. This setup pulls about 314.
  9. Willpower's a better, more effortless Regen than Regen. WP gives less TOTAL Regen, but tosses decent Resist and Defense in. So there's less "I'm a GOD! I'm a GOD! I'm a *ROAD PIZZA!*" The reason why Regen is unavailable for Tanks is because Tank HP numbers are so through the roof that even a baseline Regen Tank would START at the immortality line. A middling Brute can pull down 61.59 HP/Sec out of IH or MOG. Note: Including all +HP Accolades, with Common IOs used in everything but IH. IH alone is 172.99% With a bit of tweaking, you can push to about 182 without searching for +Regen/+HP set bonuses. And you can tweak to get it up to 130s Recharge. Now imagine that with 20% more HP. Then toss in "Chance for +Absorb" Plus Numina and Regen Tissue uniques. Utterly redonkulous. So, you simply cut back Regen levels IN REGEN? And leave Tanks with an "inferior" setup? Or do you diversify, making up that lost Regen with things like +Resist, +Def or +Absorb? And what do you wind up with? ...Willpower.
  10. Wow, coulda sworn I'd posted in this thread. Dual Pistols/Inv Nigh-unkillable and effortless two-gun fun.
  11. Additionally, it's one of those things that helps facilitate team play. Again, you hold an enemy, it isn't escaping your cloud of aggro and bonking your teammates on the head. Possibly giving them time for you to YOIINK! them out of danger with your TP power.
  12. You can always take another blast from the Pyre Mastery. Char still does a bit of damage. And a held enemy isn't doing damage to you or allies. Max HP is nice. But not really necessary.
  13. AH CRAP!
  14. Think you'll find this build a bit more survivable overall. Sure, less E/N/Tox/Psi Resist. But superior Defense numbers and damage output. With that comes reduced reliance on Dull Pain. Also, changed your Teleport choice. Make you more useful on a team. Changed the order of power selection to make you exemp more gracefully. As always, if S/L is above 90% without Tough, TURN OFF TOUGH.
  15. Here's another option.
  16. No problem. I missed it myself at first too. Though, granted, under Vengeance, you're a bad mofo...
  17. No problem man. Sometimes all it takes is a deep dive. Also, figured it out. You had VENGEANCE on.
  18. A blank of your build comes in about 36% Def (typed and positional) And this is all BEFORE simple enhancement. Using JUST 3x common Defense IOs, it jumps to 42%. Then set bonuses. Set bonuses: +13% S/L +7.25 F/C +17% (nearly +18) E/N +6% Psi +17% Melee +26% Ranged +8.5 AoE Stacks fast, don't it?
  19. Happy face-mashery!
  20. In Eastern European via English parlance. "To make GO SKVISH!"
  21. One stupidly survivable Broot coming up!
  22. 1: EXTREME over-investment in your Resists. ALL OF THEM. You're well past DR, which you can hit in 4 slots (Res, Res/End, Res/Rech, Res/End/Rech. The only thing you're giving up is a microscopic amount of running End drain. And on the passive Resist power, you don't even need that. 2: TURN OFF TOUGH! You're getting NO BENEFIT from having it on and sucking ppower. 3: Optimal minimum Health slotting is Panacea: Proc, Numina: +Regen/Recovery, Miracle: +Recovery 4: Optimal minimum Stamina investment is Perf Shifter: +End, and Perf Shifter: Endurance This setup, in practice, gives you slightly less recovery than 2 EndMod IOs. But you wind up being able to still refill your End bar even when your Recovery's been floored. 5: You're on a Tauntless Tank. (BOO! HISS! GO PLAY A BRUTE!) 6: Now that it can take something OTHER than Fear IOs, Touch of Fear is a nice power to Proc up. 7: Dark Consumption is a decent AoE power that also helps with your Endurance management. Now, don't get me wrong. Your build's tough. REAL tough. But if something can sink an End Drain on you, you may as well yank down your super-tights and hope they use lube. You're also going to have gaps in your attack chain due to fewer powers available and End management problems.
  23. Let's just say that, philosophically, I'm against any changes that'll neuter Resists. Even passive ones.
  24. Awesome! Now, what'll REALLY bake your noodle is when you discover end-game builds! And things that currently have you going "Uh oh." become "maybe I should bump the difficulty..." as you wreck fools like it's going out of style...
  25. Taunt and use clickies. AFAIK, the Psi proc doesn't gets its damage modified.
