  1. Running full-screen or windowed?
  2. No offense, this is never a certainty. Generally the cards built for Dell are "decent". But this IS Dell we're talking about.
  3. Get this every time I open up a build. Click YES and update, or Just Update gets the update dialog, but keeps happening. Mids version 3.2.17 DB Version: 2022.2.22
  4. Just for gits and shiggles, try enabling NVSurround in the drivers. Normal Windows multi-monitor still has "snap to window" for "full-screen". Use NVSurround to actually treat both monitors as part of the same "screen". Open up the NVIDIA control panel. Under 3D settings, Configure Surround, PhysX. Check "Span displays with Surround". Click Configure Just like with Windows, you can drag the monitors into whatever order you need them in. Click Enable Surround. If the monitors pop in out-of-order, you can continue to drag them a round and the setup will correct itself. Try CoH at that point. If this doesn't work, start CoH up in Windowed mode. Drag the window across the whole screen. I just recommend NOT covering the taskbar. As I've noted elsewhere, NVSurround has its own problems. And a spanned display will open only a single taskbar (or normally does, it can be squirrelly at times. So there's no "perfect" solution. Then again, this is Microsoft we're talking about. It's not like we're dealing with a safe, sane or stable OS. Also, if you are running the drivers that came with the machine at shipping, UPGRADE THE DAMN THINGS! Don't just "update". Do a full CLEAN INSTALL. The Windows default drivers are a nasty piece of work. And only violent masochists should run them (and not even then).
  5. If rebooting your local devices doesn't work, it's somewhere between your ISP and the server. The reason it's probably not the server is that EVERYONE would be complaining if it were.
  6. Most of the time, "lag" as you call it is on the client end. Restart your cable/DSL modem and router. If it's a separate device, restart your wifi router, access points and range extenders. Reboot your computer.
  7. My mom's laptop appeared to be on its last legs. The HDD was in the process of failing. And when an HD starts going, you can partition it any way you like. It's doomed. She kept grumbling about the thing and talking about buying a new one. But didn't want to spend any money, and she couldn't find a decent replacement if she did. I finally got sick of it, and bought a 1TB SATA SSD. I also bought an 8 GB memory upgrade to kick her to 16GB. Then, while I was in there, I discovered an M.2 port... Since I had a spare Samsung 980 Pro... I wasn't able to clone it over unfortunately. The HDD was too far gone. So, clean install, minimal software reload. And it was like she had a new laptop. The thing boots in about 45 seconds and is, comparatively SCREAMINGLY fast. Whereas before it struggled to do ANYTHING near the end. So she now has a mobile workstation. And the battery life is now about 2x as good as it used to be.
  8. If you liked :What If?, you'll enjoy this film.
  9. There's also the fact that we don't own the software...
  10. This seems to be an outgrowth of the "I wish I could donate money." threads. It's well understood that not everyone can toss money at every passtime. Real life has to take precedent (DAMMIT!). So, how do you contribute? How do you make sure you always have a home here? Play the game. Yeah! This is contribution. Having people here to play with is a BIG thing! I mean, I make REALLY decent money at my job and I could afford to just build/buy myself a server setup and keep it indefinitely. BORING EFFING *BLEEP!*. Because I have nobody to play with. Simply by BEING HERE, you're contributing. I don't have to do "City of Soloists". You have NO idea how valuable that is! Participate in the community. Gab on the forums. Gab on FB. Gab on whatever place you're on. Hell, JUST TALK TO PEOPLE IN THE GAME! Recruit new players when you find people looking for something to do. Learn events Then learn how to run them. If possible, try to help one another out in real life. This isn't just things like "go fund me". If you happen to be a subject matter expert on something a fellow player is having problems with, donate a little time, or at least a few short paragraphs helping them out. If you upgrade your computer equipment? Give yourself a couple months to make sure the new stuff is stable. Then offer up the old stuff to other players who might be gaming on even OLDER stuff. Me? I donate stuff. But you don't HAVE to (shipping's EXPENSIVE). Asking for a token payment to cover or may just slightly offset shipping. Me? I ask that they pass it on, and think about donating the stuff they're replacing with to another community member. There's LOTS of ways to help the community out and help it grow. Find something you CAN do, then do it! So if any jerkass tells you "you aren't contributing" or are a leech on the community? Point them them at the shortest pier you can find and invite them to a long walk. NOBODY who is here should be made to feel "lesser", simply because you haven't thrown an arbitrary dollar amount at the game. YES, money IS still important. But keeping the community loyal and growing is at LEAST as important. Because a larger community, ostensibly, lowers the number of people and dollar amount each of of those people have to contribute. You increase the amount that CAN be raised, and can stretch the monetary donor base further. This way, if people "miss" months, you don't run the risk of coming up short. And if one doesn't have to donate as much, as often, they can bank that cash against emergencies. For the game, or for themselves. So, like I said. If you can find something that helps the community in some way. Whatever it is, do it! Contribution doesn't have to be a dicksizing contest. Besides, I'll ALWAYS be bigger. But DAMN if the calluses from it dragging on the ground behind me (LOOK MA! GODZILLA!) are annoying! 🤣😂🤣😂 🤣😂🤣😂
  11. *Avoids speaking the truth about Unstoppable.*
  12. "There is no "Overkill". There is only "Kill" with ever-greater confidence levels."
  13. Hit up my Invuln Framework. It'll give you a nice head start.
  14. Now STOP! Freeze up and LISTEN! CoH back with brand new INVENTIONS. Somethin', grabs a hold of me tightly. Ice sword to the face, then swingin' my MIGHTY! Will it ever stop? Yo, I don't know. Turn off the lights, and I'll glow! To the extreme, I rock the crooks wearin' sandals. Light up the map, cube who can't handle ICE TANK BABY! TAUNT! Bum rush the mobs and make them go BOOM I'm arrestin their ass, every last little goon! Deadly, when I drop it sub-zero Can't touch me boys, cause I'm the TANK HERO! Wear your warm clothes No you can't run away Your feet froze to pavement This Ice Tank don't play! If there was a problem. Yo I solved it! Paddy wagon for the goons, while the DJ revolves it.... ICE TANK BABY!
  15. And here's the followup vis-a-vis performance. Essentially Dell has built in custom power throttling that starts JUST shy of the point where the system starts thermal throttling (due to crap cooling). In any test lasting more than a minute or so, the top-end 12900 chip performs like a mid-tier 12700 chip. So, on the chip alone, you're wasting $200. And the thing sounds like a frickin' jet engine...
  16. Stop! Collaborate and *STAB*STAB*!
  17. Hey dere! And there's no such thing as "too many alts"
  18. We already have a different sort of Regen set. It's called "Willpower". Not really sure how to turn Regeneration into some form of offensive set. Not and maintain systematic coherence.
  19. Get as much recharge as you reasonably can. Because the second someone drops a recharge debuff on you...that flushing sound you hear is your plans going *BLEEP!* up.
  20. If you can permadom without Hasten, put Domination as your auto-power unless you can perma-Hasten.
  21. It's either Punch or Kick. At least the proc being used is somewhat PERSONALLY beneficial if it has to be used. There's nothing of equivalent usefulness under the Stun sets. That's the long and short of it. If you just want to leave the power unslotted? No biggie.
  22. 122.5 will get Domination just below90 seconds.
