  1. ANYTHING Forcefield!
  2. Here's an Ice Melee takeoff, built with Granite if you really feel you need it. But essentially an Un-Granite.
  3. Because I value the E/N defense more than a couple extra points of S/L. Because getting whacked with an attack type you're weak to sucks.
  4. Here's a suggestion as a start.
  5. It's not too bad. Granted, if the enemy is out at range, it could hurt. But the second you have a single enemy in melee distance, you're set.
  6. Small problem Pep. You've got Invincibility capped out. And yes, it's very performant that way. But as you lose enemies, your defenses fall off sharply. This build pretty much delivers equivalent or better Defense from ZERO enemies and in a crowd, can Incarnate Soft-Cap itself. Also, on the DPS calculator: Original build: 207.5509 DPS and 1.506312 EPS Yours: 157.8843 DPS and 1.296168 EPS Glowy Fingers: 269.722 DPS and 1.797616 EPS
  7. Hell, the Internet was able to chase down Shia Leboef's little white flag thing. Simply finding a flat based on high quality video footage? CAAAAAAKE!
  8. Not really. Builds are always balancing acts. And depending on what you're chasing (Recharge, Regen, Resist, Defense, etc) your build loadout can change fairly dramatically based on your priorities. Power selection is one of the things that can be made more dependable. As you level up, it can sometimes be hard to justify a power selection at a given level. But exemping later it can make a lot more sense. So always keep an eye on exempability.
  9. Okay, ripped this off from Jayz2Cents. But still good advice. Tried to get as inexpnsive as possible without taking components from no-name vendors or crap I wouldn't use myself in the same space. https://newegg.io/a8666687 Easily do 1080p. Is using on-chip graphics (AMD Radeon RX Vega 7) 6 core Hyperthreading CPU 16GB RAM 512GB SSD Air cooler. Want a liquid cooler? Add $30. Decent Fractal Design case. All "In stock" and "new". USD before tax and any promos/codes. $634.45 $12 Shipping (Delivery to Illinois_ $45.25 (Illinois tax) Total: $691.70 Transplant your keyboard, mouse and monitor and you have a perfectly acceptable gaming rig to start. Basically this rig is not some blazingly fast game-burner. But for CoH, and most modern titles at 1080p, this'll put down respectable framerates and won't look like total ass. Allowing you some time to wait on graphics card prices to come down more and the market to normalize. Additionally, the rig is expandable. Grrr. There's room for more SSDs and other types of drives. The power supply is up to dropping in something like a 3070 or lower without worrying about overtaxing the PSU. There's plenty of cooling. Yes, this probably would have been a $500 build a few years back. Market reality.
  10. Three Eradications (all the ones with Acc) and the first three Cleaving Blows. +1.56% Ranged +0.63% Ranged Sorry, I can't resist that sweet, sweet Defense.
  11. Agility to boost Defenses. Cardiac to boost Resists and lower End consumption. Resilient to boost Resists Spiritual to boost Recharge and Heal/Regen.
  12. Hopefully he liked it. As to primaries? Honestly, I'm a Tanker primarily. I'm concerned with making you survive at all costs. Damage? I spend less time on that, and am PERFECTLY content to slowly sand off hitpoints over a period of several weeks. I just try to get a mix of Melee, Ranged, TargetedAoE and PBAOE to maximize to beef up Defense and Resists. I don't play enough at the moment to do the testing (and get a feel) for a "Proc" build.
  13. There is no "overkill". There is only "kill" with successively greater confidence levels!
  14. If all you care about is the raw +Resist? Sure. As noted, ROP requires more power picks. It also really gives you nothing besides some Resist and status resistance that really isn't all that useful to a Tank. Whereas SOW also comes with a Recovery buff, and on a modern build, this allows you to attack like a crack-addled murder bunny without having to even think about the 50% end crash when the timer ends.
  15. And on that point, here's a comparable build ON COMMON IOs. Sure, the AMOUNT given to the less common damage types is smaller. But ENFC Resists NEARLY TRIPLE.
  16. Exactly. It's not REALLY a god power like Granite. It's an *Oh Shit!* button or a *GERONIMO!* button. You hit it and go nuts on an enemy that'd normally be too big for you. Was showing someone this sort of thing less than a day ago on a WP Tank. And for the people calling the S/L boost "superfluous". Please note that if this is an anecdotal argument. Simply because this applies to YOUR particular top-end build doesn't mean your experience is "The Norm".
  17. Just surrender to the madness. Altitis Forever!
  18. Ooh. My bad!
  19. Not sure that's gonna be possible.
  20. So you're going for "concept" rather than effectiveness.
