I have a bunch of low level characters. Often I enjoy doing the first and third Safeguard missions for the temp power (badge, and sides, etc.) The problem I am encountering is that the Keyholding Lobby baddies and safe cracking villain never spawn, just the patrolling Hellions. The timer fails to start, etc. Any advice? Note: thus far, I can exit and reset the mission.

Sudden Acceleration Proc and Knockback Enhancement
KvG replied to Theronos's topic in General Discussion
Yes, I tested this with a fire blaster on closed beta using the universal damage IO set: Overwhelming Force. The IO that converts KB to KD works great in Bonfire. Rather than knocking them back, cast your Bonfire on a mob and watch them bounce helplessly, unable to act, taking damage. I don't have personal experience with the Sudden Acceleration set. -
I had concerns about the recent changes to snipe. I've playtested this enough to say that while different, I'm fine/happy with the modifications. Thanks as always, Leo and Dev team.

Pictures of the Incarnate Lore Pets

Thank you so very much! This is excellent! Note: while one cannot fully customize a lore pet, one can color customize the summoning, iirc. -
issue 26 Patch Notes for August 23, 2019
KvG replied to Number Six's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Thanks for maintenance, upgrades and fixes! <3 -
Thank you, Leo, as always for this and everything else. Thank you especially for fixing this clever exploit. I don't need to tempted.

P.S. I always let the Stalker get their hidden attack strike first. And so should you. ;-)

I suppose it is not surprising that this is a topic, so here's my two cents of experience. Defeating opponents, finding glowies, etc. is what a team does. When I am on a small team with friends, if the glowies give xp or insp reward, we share them. If I am on a TF, it's usually about efficiency. That said, I agree that finding one's toon unable to do much is a drag. Rather like doorsitting in AE. While perhaps boring or disappointing, I prefer that to teams who cannot communicate and coordinate and/or that hopelessly wipe out, over and over. There exists a variety of playing styles. Being considerate is one of them. Tolerance for what might be called "cup of tea" preference differences is reasonable. [To be clear, the vast majority of CoH players are imho "considerate" and then some, often generous, heroic, etc.] Often my blaster will see that the melee toons have engaged the bosses and/or EB, and either direct my blasts there and/or focus on defeating/clearing the surrounding mobs. E.g. in ITF, I try to take out the Cim surgeons first. I had enough feedback and could see for myself when teamed with SGmates, that KB could be a genuine problem. With practice, the "death from above" technique (via fly, hover, jet pack) you either convert your KB to KD or at least reduce how much backwards force you are putting on a target. (For melee toons who may not understand, KB acts as a soft control, allowing me to apply yet more damage while taking none.) Given that "kills" are shared when teamed, does it even matter whose what the final shot that defeated Romulus? *A HAPPY MEMORY FROM JUSTICE SERVER* I'll never forget speeding over and attacking full out - expecting to get one-shot KO'ed and admiring the floor - which got the AV's attention such that my teammate's scrapper was able to get it together to finish off the AV. To our mutual amazement, she said, "You saved me." (This was a top 20 SG on Justice that esteemed melee and often dismissive of "squishy" ATs.)

LOL and Hiya! I remember Phil Helioson and "No Pants" Hami Raids on Justice.

Wow will we ever get our old chars back again?
KvG replied to Smoke Ring's topic in General Discussion
Don't you mean "Long answer, nooo."? LMAO! Now that made me laugh! Good one, Shin! -
Thanks! I was looking all over for this too! (1st time to Echo: Faultline)

Summer Blockbuster is still running as a queue-able trial. I don't think this is limited to Summer any longer.

Maybe someone could check this. I too am working Crafting badges. After having crafted: one L45 End Mod, one L50 End Mod, and five L50 End Red, which I believe totals SEVEN of the 25 total inventions needed: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Perpetual_Badge (12 45's and 12 50's +1 more), but my progress bar shows FOUR or 3 fewer than I think it should. Or, perhaps, it is some sort of user error on my part. (( These 7 IO's are stashed in /AH, along with other common L45s and 50s, so I can keep track -- tho I admit that doesn't prove I crafted these. )) Thanks very much for looking into this (assuming someone has time.) :)

Gosh, I can only think you must be overlooking something. My main on Excelsior earned the [portable workbench], created 1000K inventions (remember base Empowerment buffs count), and is still working on L45/50 memorization (so that is not a requirement.) This was my 3rd time. (I had 2 master craftsmen with workbench on Live: Justice and Infinity, and the 3rd time was the easiest.) Good luck.

Wow! I didn't realize that about the Preventative Medicine proc. That means I can rethink options for six-slot Health. Nice tip about Spirit Ward. I'll have to look into it. 8) Lockpick, I like your recommendations. Yes, the Reactive Defense proc can keep a squishy standing (and the 2-pc set bonus is pretty decent, iirc.)
-
Add to these: (at the cost typically in Merits) Panacea proc (+HP +End recovery) very nice and it has a good 2 pc IO set bonus with plain Healing. (I often want not just procs but also at least 1 or preferrably 2 pure Healing set IO's (e.g. Numina and 1 other.)) I am also a fan of Preventative medicine as a 2 pc IO set, both for the set bonus, but the proc is effective. This is if you are planning to six slot Health as I often do. I slot the Miracle proc, probably along with a Panacea proc for toons where recovery is an issue (and Panacea can be slotted at Level 7), otherwise where recovery is rarely an issue (eg. a blaster) I skip Miracle altogether and go for the Preventative Medicine set. Just my $0.02. :)

Sweet! I remember these on Justice, often led by Warboss and they rocked! I also remember lots of humor. I'll try to be there. Q: Is this every Saturday evening, or just (I hope you mean JUNE not May 25th at 8 EST)? ;) From the other comments on this thread, sounds like Hami is a regular happening thing, along with MSR. Scheduled is fine; Impromptu is fine also. Great to be back! Happy gaming!

And not one of the current ones say what PPM is. Ya know, there are only about a million and six powers in this game. Maybe in the first post you might spell out what your issue is? Possibly not everyone uses the same acronym as you. THIS Yes, please do spell out what PPM is; e.g. damage per second (DPS) etc. Thanks! :)

HEALIX!!!!! So good to see you!

LOL Also, Hi Witty, Hi Healix. o/

Hi! I already recognize some names. I started late (i15), played Infinity (home server), then Virtue, but eventually Justice and Victory became the main servers I played on. Hoping to see other old friends here, make new friends, and enjoy the adventures! On live my global was @Kristoff von Gelmini. Here it's simply @KvG. (Since I am starting over, my original 1st 50 was a def, soon to be re-rolled as a Corr named Kieron von Gelmini.) See ya in-game! 8)
