  1. Can you please clarify what you're asking for, here... EDIT: Are you saying you want to be able to expand the message listing/inbox, and not just the message composition pane?
  2. Neuron has all his clones, and there's all the different Aeons...
  3. I do think that providing some rewards that are useful their entire career, while not overshadowing other unique or set IOs, would be a great way to incentivize playing low-level content; rewarding players with enhancements that'll probably become out of date in a few hour's time feel like an insult. Another idea could be to reward such content with "research grants", which reduce the cost or even completely cover the crafting fee of some lower level IOs.
  4. I love how you made the kickboxer look like she was wearing headgear, and the overall look of Cold Steel is awesome! Cheers!
  5. Simply put, take all the various chest emblem options, and add glowing options...
  6. Obviously I can't speak for everybody, but for me, there needs to be a balance between the rewards gained and how long or what amount of effort was required to attain them. It's neat to enter a couple of cheat codes in a game and run around in god mode, but that gets old quickly. The same game, when played "as intended", can be that much more enjoyable, and when you finally do get that end game item, there comes with it a sense of accomplishment. Having both gotten characters to 50 the "legit" way, and others via PL-ing or farms, I can tell you that the former retain more "value" for me. A good balance of reward and time investment is what's needed, and skewing too far in either direction makes the game less fun. Ideally, the devs would strike the kind of balance that brings in new players and keeps existing ones around. Too much of a grind - people leave in frustration. Rewards gained too easily - those rewards have little to no value, and people get bored and leave. as well..
  7. Weren't the original roster of heroes based upon a GURPS or Champion PnP game that Jack Emmert et al had run?
  8. Does this marketeer get XP from that exchange? For me, at least, after you've bought or upgraded all the enh's you want, the leftover inf is superfluous. If I'm trying to upgrade some incarnate abilities, working toward those vet levels are more important than almost any amount of inf, (unless you are trying to buy those few rare/very rare components, which IMHO aren't worth the inf required). Either way, it all boils down to what your goals or priorities are...
  9. Gravity/energy is very close. Grav/dark is also excellent.
  10. This is a noble sentiment, but I've found that some powersets just aren't my cup of tea... no matter how many times I try and retry them.
  11. *bows head in shame* Right you are.
  12. From my understanding of how intangibility powers work, you can't have them as a toggle applied from an outside source, as that source would not be able to interact with the target after the initial application to maintain said toggle's effect. Additionally, it kind of violates a core tenant of gameplay, as it allows a teammate to effectively remove you from the game without your consent.
  13. I've had good success with my energy/energy stalker. I've also had a lot of fun with my bio/savage and radiation/savage tankers. I'm interpreting your use of the word "theme" a little looser for the latter 2 examples. That being said, a nature/archery defender can be both thematic and effective. A necro/dark mastermind is nothing to sneeze at, either.
  14. You'd also have to eliminate the ability to transfer off of that server to another, as well as eliminating emailing inf & items from there. Either way, all you'd do is have people resort of pre-AE methods of farming - folks ain't dumb.
  15. I don't care if you farm or not, as long as, when teaming with others, you know how to play your character, aren't a jerk, and aren't elitist about which other ATs or powersets you're willing to team with...
  16. If you're not using Marvel's depiction of Thor, then you should be alright. Of course, you could report yourself to the GMs to see for sure...
  17. Pretty much all enemy factions have a minion, lieutenant, and boss tier member. Some have underling, elite boss, and arch-villains/heroes and (giant)monsters as well. Several have multiple of each tier. While those 3 primary categories are a rough analog to the MM pets, they're not quite equal. That being said, I think ghouls are one of the lest interesting interesting groups to convert into a MM set. I would much rather see something like Nemesis, Malta, KoA, or carnies made into such sets, (ignoring the Lore Incarnates for the moment).
  18. They did *some* things right...
  19. I think Champions Online had the right idea when they added a "green screen room" to their Powerhouse tailor...
  20. It's kind of a vague "sniff test" TBH; The first giveaway, IMO, is if the name is just a poor use of letter substitution or throwing in some extraneous characters or spaces to get the name, ("Kaptain 4m3r1c4", etc). The second is costume, and the 3rd is powersets. Any single one, taken to an extreme, can be enough, but usually it's some combination of all 3...
  21. We'd have to kind of filter things down a bit, first: Those MM pets that use the regular human model should be the easiest to customize. Those that do not could kind of be "skipped", at least initially. So, zombies, mercs, ninja, & thugs can get this. Robots have a bit more going on, as do demons and beasts, so those would probably have to be addressed separately. That being said, the next issue is how the upgrade powers interact w/ those new models. I suppose you could either create 3 different costumes for each tier of henchman, but then you'd have to consider sets like mercs or thugs, where the 3rd tier 1 is different. And after saying all that, the simplest would probably be to say "F it!" and just have the custom costume override all that...
  22. I wasn't talking about the exact proportion inasmuch as the benefit didn't equal the sacrifice the caster had to pay. I don't really have a horse in this particular race - I was just pointing out that the injury the one absorbing the pain suffered didn't match the original one...
  23. But the amount of damage you incur is not equivalent to the amount healed. Thus, while I could see it, if being used to rez a target, causing more damage or imparting some sort of -regen -recovery effect on you for a short while, it shouldn't necessarily kill the caster...
  24. That's a good point, especially since there are many non-god entities in the universe that could wipe the floor with them - imagine if Wanda had stumbled into Omnipotence City during her rampage...
