In keeping with the Cimerora theme... Apologies for some screenshots missing /whereami. These were all taken on the Indomitable server in Cimerora.
1. Location: -946.9 141.0 3145.1, left of main gate to ITF final mission. Though the hole is big enough to fit through, it has been sealed (likely from previous attempts to get under map.)
2. Location: -1273.6 82.2 3237.2, right of the main gate to the ITF final mission. Like the previous image, it appears to allow a user to fit in to the gap, however, it has been blocked from access (likely for similar reasons).
3. Location: -1084.7 -30.6 5378.7, southern tip of map along the coast. Rock texture isn't flush with surrounding wall.
4. Location: -218.5 -43.0 5099.6, same issue as previous rock.
5. Location: -576.4 217.1 4816.5, grass texture on the mountain above zone entrance.

It was solo and without using any glitches.
I'm just confused.
Assuming a number of factors listed: the glowies taking approximately 4 seconds to activate. That's minimum 32 seconds. The distance between any two glowies are approximately 5 seconds away (assuming maxed SS runspeed and SJ jump speed, based on my biased testing). That's 45 seconds if you include from the mission entrance, through all 8 obelisks, then to the two minions holding Sam hostage. Killing the two minions, 3 seconds, assuming maximum damage, no misses on two 1.5 second powers activating.
All those assumptions combined, I see 1 minute, 20 seconds as being the fastest possible time.
Without appearing to contradict your statement, (I'm not trying to call you a liar) could you provide me, either publicly or thru PM, with evidence to support the time you stated? Again, not trying to appear hostile, I'm just confused on how anything under the above stated time is possible in the Cavern of Transcendence Trial.

2 minutes! That’s awesome.
Great time on the Cavern of Transcendence! It says the record is 48 seconds though - is that solo, and if so, is that from using the tp thru geometry glitch to the two pumcites holding sam hostage? I'm imagining that time is relatively possible given an 8 man team.

Here's two things I've been doing that speed it up:
Each time you click an obelisk it gives you a medium blue inspiration. During my runs I combine these into a purple insp, and before the AV I use two purples. It's enough def to make it through easily even without full stealth. If anyone is dying on the last part this should help.
Also for clearing groups around the obelisks, you can click the obelisks from super far away, so far away the groups won't even notice you. I wish I had noticed that a long time ago.
Standing behind the obelisks to avoid line of sight works as well.

Great quote!
Edit: Ok Google tells me this was from Hans Gruber in 'Die Hard'. Even more awesome!

There's been on going server maintenance since this morning. Some things have been and still are being affected.

The trick is using the "LFG" tab on the chat bar, as described previously. It gets you back to Karsis no matter where you're located.
-
The Cavern of Transcendence Trial is on the rotation for the Weekly Strike Target folks! Makes for a great TF to farm for the Partner/Conspirator badge (50 weekly strike tf/sf). With the right set up, you can get a really good time! (2 minutes, 46 seconds per run).
Edit: Forgot the How-To!
**Need Mission Teleporter/Team Transporter and stealth of some kind for fastest possible time.
Step 1. Open LFG tab in the Chat tray. Click Trials. Click "Cavern of the Transcendence (Karsis). Click "Lock the event for your group". Click Queue. Click Enter on pop-up.
Step 2. Click Karsis. Agree to form Task Force. Click the Mission Teleporter/Team Transporter OR proceed to the mission location.
Step 3. Make sure stealth power(s) are turned on (you can use the base machine to create an invis temp power if needed).
Step 4. Run to each off shooting cave in either a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation and click the Obelisk at the end of each.
Step 5. Proceed to the door where Sam Wincott is being held. Open it. Stealth your way past the Monster and mobs. Go to the two pumcites holding Sam Wincott hostage. Defeat them.
Step 6. Exit mission. Repeat Step 1.
Second Edit:
Using a second person (or account), you can have a teammate stand next to Karsis and reactivate the TF after each completion (nullifying the need for the TP powers I mentioned when solo). Just make sure they also have Karsis unlocked as a contact. Thanks @Lankey for the advice!

I'd have to go with a memory back when the game was live. I was a young man at the time and this was my second MMO ever behind Everquest. My dad took me to best buy to get my first ever dedicated graphics card. I knew nothing about upgrading parts and my dad opened up my rig at the kitchen table and hooked up this probably very mediocre GPU. I remember firing up my PC and logging into my COH account. Behold, before my very own eyes, my character select screen had transformed to a gallery of truly super heroes in the most exquisite, shiny detail. I remember loading into to Talos Island and just running around spamming my abilities with such giddy fascination. This game, even today, just has a special magic about it.
This is a great story! Do you remember what GPU it was? I had a similar experience, albeit with increased memory capacity instead of graphical fidelity lol

My favorite memory of this game happened at the end of the City of Villains beta. The developers and game masters had spawned in as their signature characters, both heroes and villains, and I participated in the fight that lasted until everyone had been defeated. This event was later added to the in-game lore, much like the end of the City of Heroes beta (which I unfortunately didn't get a chance to participate in). It was such a cool experience seeing the canon heroes and villains like Statesman and Lord Recluse fight each other in the game itself.
Before that point, it was either in literature or comics - to top it off, I was a part of it! It was a boon for my desire to play in City of Villains and I jumped in to the 4 day head start with high levels of excitement. The CoV story line really drove home the feeling that I was just a minion/underling at the beginning when I was fighting with them in the beta. Yet, as I leveled throughout the game, it solidified my feeling that my villain was actually pretty bad and eventually, even the mighty Lord Recluse was sending enemies to defeat me.
Full circle when I completed my Patron arc (after the level cap was raised passed 40), I stood before these Arch Villains as a peer, even sporting my own Arch Villain title (or badge rather!).

The Teleport pool gives me access and assistance reaching places not often traveled. I find its utility to be unmatched in certain situations. I also use the tp base padscode macro as well, and I believe it's instant animation and recharge make far more sense in the game than 10 second long animations and 15 minute recharges.

Technically it would be the devs doing the griefing as they code it and implement it. Meanwhile you'll still be able to PvP in the arena. Therefor the only "griefing" happening is that you will no longer have zones to "grief" in. And I'm perfectly fine with that.

You want to go into a PvP zone and not engage in PvP, thus foiling the PvPer from accomplishing their goal of fighting and defeating other players. By your own definition you are the griefer.

In essence there is no risk to be warned about. Another player is only able to slow down my efforts (griefing). The number of times I was killed didn't matter in the end. Again, it took two weeks but I have ALL the PvP badges now. The only time RV was relatively empty was during raid hours. I'm bringing up suggestions that might entice players like me to go engage in PvP. I can't empathize with someone who thinks griefing is fun because that's what RV and WB felt like. Might as well call them griefing zones. At least in RV the "fight-clubbers" stayed under atlas statue and left the carebears alone. The rest were hanging out by heavies waiting in ambush.
No, not in essence - in reality, in absolute reality, and stated with the utmost clarity, you are risking being attacked by entering a PvP zone. You are given 30 seconds after entering the zone to read that message and decide how to proceed.
If you suggested increasing the initial zone PvP flagged in timer in order to accommodate individuals who are reading impaired (those who use text to speech programs) then I would say that's an fair suggestion. That being said, I cannot currently support any of your suggestions as you've stated them for the reasons you've explained.
Edit. It's a PvP zone.

And yet there is no way for someone to enter the zone and say "I want to do the stuff that's here but I don't want to be engaged in PvP". Again, Siren's Call is empty, for two reasons I can fathom 1) the level cap, and 2) the bounty system helps players track down and engage others actively. There's no spot to sit and wait in ambush like in the other 3 zones.
The first assumption you stated regarding why Siren's Call is empty may or may not be accurate, however, the second is not. The bounty system doesn't not give real time locations of each bounty, instead it gives the last location over an interval of time. There are also many places to sit and wait to spike damage or ambush, as you say, in Siren's Call.

That's what I heard way back on live too. I wouldn't go into a PvP zone if I didn't have something to do there that wasn't PvP. So those badges are just there to entice seals to go in and get clubbed.
I disagree with this statement. Are you unaware of the risk implied in the message that displays immediately upon entering a PvP zone or are you choosing to ignore the stated fact that PvP zones exist for PvP?

Then remove the badges for the zone objectives. Solved
I wouldn't call that a solution. The badges mentioned are PvP badges, are they not? Perhaps looking at this issue in an alternative light may prove more fruitful.
The author of this thread could transfer from Indomitable to another server which has less of a PvP population and then transfer back once they are done with their objectives.
The author of this thread could also solicit assistance from others to form a team against such adversaries they find are preventing their goals, and if necessary, carry out combat through coordination and timing using the specially designed systems and mechanics of the zone in question.

While I don't agree with the assumptions you've stated at the beginning of your suggestion post or any of your follow on suggestions, I do support continued discussion on enticing more players to try out or participate in the many outlets for Player versus Player content in this game.

Great event idea! I'm excited for this.

Cool posts! I've been running this game at around high settings, getting between 10 and 144 fps. I think I'll upgrade to the RTX 3000 series in August to cap everything, though my twin frozr 1080 from MSI has been a champ.
