  1. Hi, Peacebringers can do what you just described.
  2. To me this sounds a lot like speculation, not testing. I could just say the opposite - "this change will inevitably lead to some people who form teams and accept people because they have the right AT to get the bonus PA." What can we, the player base testing out this new feature, identify as broken, nor working as intended, or otherwise provide as feedback information that is actionable to the dev team?
  3. Select Menu on status bar, then click "I.D." on the drop down. It's a bit clunky and you're limited by a certain number of characters, but you're free to change it as frequently as you want.
  4. The Auction House is cross server - you can post an enhancement on Excelsior and a player on Indomitable can buy it. The lag free experience is wonderful though!
  5. So the only thing a team leader has to do is invite other players to start a Task Force or Strike Force - they don't have to do anything else they wouldn't normally already do when forming their team - and this optional reward is automatically applied for those that want to incorporate the ATs stated? What am I missing in this feedback? As far as I can tell there is a handful of ways for players to receive Prismatic Aether rewards: the Auction House, randomly from mission completes, and from completing certain content at specified settings. The stated change will add one more way to receive them. Is there some testing done somewhere from the folks who are in disagreement with this change I'm missing? My understanding is a player either gets the reward or they don't, but it doesn't affect the outcome of the mission.
  6. Elude is in a fantastic place! Elude has insane defense buffs, getting me in the 150% positional def range easily. Granted, outside of select instances, there's no need for anything that high, (basically playing with the 5% chance to hit from enemies before I hit Elude anyways on my build), but it also grants helpful endurance recovery too and lasts an insane 3 whole minutes! I'd describe the power as over kill, but I also see it as another tool in my toolkit when soloing 'Master of' content where temps and Incarnates are disabled. Having Elude available gives me the option to hit a T9 after reviving, which has helped me if I go down right before defeating an AV/Hero. Nothing worse than beating down a health bar for 10 minutes and then right before you land the final blow, their 5% chance to hit kicks in and their attack takes down your entire health bar before either scaling resist bonuses or absorb proc kick in. So revive, Elude, and no need to retoggle anything!
  7. The Patron Pools have you covered for Immobilize if that's what you're after. I found that to also be the -only- downside when min/maxing the AT on the Night Widow side, but as you said, Fortunata's are well equipped and have their own Immobilize power to work with.
  8. There's more info [pertaining to your question] at the link below.
  9. Homecoming lowered the barrier to entry for PvP to basically your ankles. There's instant Level 50 PvP-only (PvP zones, Arena, and Pocket D) "Temporal Warrior" on Homecoming. Pick any server, click the Temporal Warrior option on the first page of character creation, then make your character. They'll be Level 50, have all Incarnate abilities unlocked (alpha is the only one active in zone PvP on Homecoming), and grab the PvP accolades (same as PvE version, but they are 10,000 inf and they are permanent once purchased) from the PvP vendor in a PvP zone. No need to powerlevel, run badges for accolades, or snag Incarnate Threads/Empyrean merits. The only player investment needed is inf to buy the enhancements for the build you want. They also enabled base PvP, added new arena maps, removed heal decay and PvP travel supression, and have devs who are willing to listen to changes advocated for by PvPers.
  10. What is that? I've never seen those words and I play on Indomitable all the time! 😆
  11. I linked Galaxy Brains Blaster tests earlier in the thread and they're not even acknowledging they're wrong - the poster is beyond reason at this point and will disregard any evidence contrary to their opinion.
  12. Go to Pocket D and talk to Null the Gull to switch your alignment from Villain to whatever you prefer. It's free and it takes seconds.
  13. Those epic ATs can fill in any of those AT roles - that's pretty much the point behind them. Now that's not to say they're better, they're jack of all trades.
  14. Arsenal Assault 😁
  15. There are other games that do that stuff better - the Homecoming devs are making what they think is best for this game. Then again, there is a suggestion sub forum if you've got ideas.
  16. Hamidon Yellow Mito appearance is crisp and clear, greatly appreciate the change especially when targeting. Did the blue and green get this effect? For anyone interested: Hamidon - Semi-translucent and purple exterior sphere Mitochondria Electrolytes - Rather hard to see in the image, but much larger blue semi-translucent sphere. Mending Mitochondria - Smallest, semi-translucent green sphere Mitochondria Antibodies - Unique yellow sphere with cone patterns originating from the main body.
  17. Why would Blaster Ice Blast (or any port of the powerset to other ranged ATs) have a snipe? There's two holds in Ice Blast - it's not meant to be like every other ranged powerset. Additionally, every other Scrapper Epic has a variation of a ranged attack or a snipe.
  18. I am unable to validate the drop rates for the Hamidon Bud recipe due to testing limitations on the beta server. I will trust the right folks on the Homecoming did the necessary testing to validate the drop chances.
  19. To your first question, yes. To your second question, read the patch notes:
  20. Can any devs confirm that this drop occurs? Without the instant kill dev command on beta, it's going to be a slim chance to confirm by play testing. Thanks!
  21. The stories and zones were written in a way to convey progression of a character from the bottom gutter of the Zig to the same table as Recluse. Each zone you meet another contact that elevates your character to a higher point in the story. At the end you're taking on the major heroes in the game and even Recluse himself. It's a fantastic way to enjoy the game and I think it is good all on its own. With the advent of Archetypes no longer being locked to blue or red side (along with faction switching being instant), there's not really a side anymore (except Gold side!). As to what could increase player population? Well I don't see much "City of Villain" anywhere on Homecoming's forums, discord, social media, or Wiki accounts. It's City of Heroes and that's what people probably think first to try. Maybe make some more CoV logos and slap them on things? In game, I'll just say that being a Villain doesn't mean what it used to mean. You're making choices that are mostly just Vigilante writing outside of the real dark contacts. It's always about making cash until you get to Grandville, then it's about power. Maybe that's what I said is worth trying, make being a Villain mean something.
  22. I had a lot of fun with Electric Blast on my Sentinel. The final power recharges so fast and the set has a great synergy with any armor set due to its endurance recovery secondary effects.
  23. Damage is king, lockdown is helpful, but neutered, and any PvP build should strive for maxing hp, then getting their respective role focused using procs, global recharge, and/or range if buffing or blasting. Look to snag an escape power like Translocation binded to a key or phase shift. Take a look at some of the pvp videos from the past three years on YouTube. The meta hasn't really changed beyond that. Edit: Oh and here's a fun list from the early days of Homecoming that sort of talks about three pvp meta.
