I tried this. I clearly did something wrong. Do you know if the MIDS team is going to update the regular download? Honestly, I don't play toons without a build so I guess I'll be waiting to try out the new stuff.

Is the game harder to learn today than back on live?

Tons of valid remarks here but I do like this one. There have been some missions where there is danger at lower levels but it often depends on team and how the group plays. I have very little concern when I incarnate. I really hope we don't see stuff to OP our toons more than what we have. Add more options etc but they don't need to be more powerful. -

Maybe a future option would be to have various categories where you can do leaderboards. Overall badge total, hero, villain, Praetorian etc. Just a thought. I'm not a badger so I am meh about a badge leaderboard but I always like looking at stats and data. Maybe if this is easy to add, you could like at doing leader boards for damage dealers, damage taken, healed, held etc...if this type of thing is possible. A top 10 if you will. The cool touch would be to display the actual top toon on each board (to play off the aforementioned hologram of the top badge getters). If I were to take it a bit further, you may have to add a LARGE wing to pocket D dedicated to the leaderboards. -

Another idea I had was to add more content like Death From Below and Drowning In Blood. These were newer in Live and they realized people want options and these are fast, fun and very repeatable. The design is better than a long TF/SF or a story arc. More of this, please. Maybe some at different level ranges. Definitely a few of these at the 45-50 range. Maybe some incarnate ones too? Speaking of iTrials, more of those too. They don't have to be too long or drawn out. BAF is fairly easy and doesn't look like it requires a ton of assets. Some smart design and decent story ideas can take you a long way. Again, I'll repeat, A.E. 2.0 where the idea is for players to make missions that're added to the regular game and are canon. That would be my top suggestion (and has been for over 4 years). -

Hey so if you guys were to make another power set (myself and others have suggested power armour) would it be feasible to use existing assets and apply it to the power set? In particular, the strafing missiles that you see on Praetorians with the missile packs and the Kronos Titan? What about a mini gatling gun? The other assets seem less complex but could also include the missile barrage from War Walkers. Essentially, recycling assets already in game. Would this be a tough ask? -

Is there any chance we can get the new Blackwing pieces without the Blackwing symbols on them? Such as the chest piece that has the wings on the back and the bird on the front. Can we get this just without the Blackwing symbols as an alternate option. That way players can decide if they want the branding or not. 🙂 -
Some amazing looks in here. I was looking for inspiration for a poltergeist type toon. Does anyone have something that would fit the bill? TIA! 🙂

If You Could Give Your Character a Weakness....Woukd you?

Most builds will have a flaw somewhere aka a weakness. I am guessing OP may mean like a true Achille's heel but that would be something else. I'd rather see a CoX version of the Nemesis system where we create are arch-enemy and have them pop up from time to time. 🙂 -
I used to have this but the direction of the new material and what I've seen has been very disappointing. I am sure some enjoyed it but I do not. I play far less now but c'est la vie. I appreciate the HC team and all they do - I am glad to play this game. I know the crew I play with also feels the same. I'll do almost any content when teaming with pals. I am not too bothered by it. Unfortunately, they don't want to touch 99% of the new stuff again. We always try the new content but then all agree it's not for us. So, I am happy whenever the new stuff drops...or doesn't 🙂

Nope. I did not answer it. Unless you know the OP or something along those lines. You don't know what he's about or why. Maybe he's a troll? Maybe he wants some attention? I prefer to take a kinder approach unless I have evidence or know the person is being an ass - then I can become very unkind. Anyway, the CoX community is pretty decent and no one went overboard on OP. My point is, you don't know the person, you don't know what's going on in their world - they could be having a tough time and just want to interact and don't know the best way of going about it. I will try and show kindness - not always but I will try and take that route. Here's a little vid that I enjoyed and also stresses my point:

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuh....I feel you kinda made my point for me. I know MANY would make a variety of accounts but I think there are also many who couldn't be bothered (like me). I don't game much and this is still my fave game so maybe I'm not the usual type here. However, I am pretty sure fewer slots would've reduced the name hoarding - to what degree, I don't know....maybe a little...maybe a lot... 🙂

I don't get the dump party on OP. it is a bit of an odd post (especially if he repeatedly does this) but I am guessing he is a passionate CoX person. Maybe it's his way of expressing concern about this game's population dropping and the lights going out. I don't know. Sometimes it's tough to clearly express yourself. Some folks think they may become vulnerable and open themselves up to attacks on their actual feelings...who knows. Anyway, I like HC. I asked to help but was rejected. All I can do is my part and I think OP is kinda trying to do the same by raising concern about population decrease?

I'm torn on this one. In one way it would be nice but I also would hate to see a bunch of characters with the same name. I like the uniqueness of it all. So, I guess I'm saying I have to disagree with you....I think...lol I still think giving a 1,000 character slots was a bad idea and HC refuses to rectify this. I guess the character name release program does help in a way but it's a bit of a pain for active users who have altitis. I've created some toons then put them on the shelf after a few levels. I now have to keep an eye out and log them in to preserve their names - what a pain.

This is very cool. I tried this with some pals but they didn't stick around. Sadly. My suggestion would be to tell them about ATs. Each will have their own preference etc so that may help them lean towards a certain area. Don't PL them. Let them run around and explore. This is just a me thing and it will depend on the players - tell them about the IOs and inventions. IOs are the main loot item and powering your toon is a big deal to some. At some point you may want to introduce MIDS. Again, some people like to design their toons and others could care less. I am definitely a guy who needs to design his toons in advance and have a blue print. -
I pitched this as an additional pool option. Similar to an MM pet and you can pick the Sidekick type (blast, tank, heal etc). The real win here would be for you to have the ability to completely design the look via the costume creator.

Implement my idea of a separate A.E. v. 2.0 that allows players to create simple/basic missions (maybe work their way up to TFs), have them reviewed by a dedicated Dev team and then decide if they can be added. The whole point is for more content to be added at a quick pace. Less work for Devs (after making the AE 2.0 of course). Hopefully, once approved, these player made missions can be dragged and dropped into the regular game and become canon etc. -
How could you not remember him/her or whatever was behind that avatar. I never had an issue with this person and loved the enthusiasm for the game. I never kept track of the successor projects but I wonder if any of those teams have asked about joining HC. HC does great work but I can't say they're progressing the game in any meaningful way. I feel more staff may help but I am not excited about new issues that're coming etc after most of the stuff I've seen has been disappointing. Having said all that, please don't take it as an insult. Again, my 2 cents and I am VERY happy the game is back and kicking.

Yup. This was my intent as well with earlier comments. I think the key is customization. It's still one of the best parts of this game. Have the ability to pick other Lore pets and maybe even completely customize the look. That would be ideal. The next level awesome would be having the ability to have the option to design your pet/lore pet etc from scratch much like our toons in the costume creator. Have that costume creator (or as much as we can) for our Lore pets.

Long ago, I mentioned having a new pile of Lore options that don't tie us down to CoX lore 🙂 I think the best option would be that you design the look of your pet much like you do your toon. OR you can use what's already there. OR the Devs can add new ones like bats, werewolf, mummy, vampires, other mechs, snake people and so on. I also suggested a new pool option called The Partner pool where you can summon a partner/pet that you can design via the editor and pick which style of that partner will play (tankish, blasterish, and so on). I don't know what direction this game is going but I haven't been super impressed with a lot of the adds that HC has made. The work and quality is good but it hasn't been for me. Maybe this Lore idea will happen
