  1. These people who take Heals on SR perplex me. Where do they get all these power picks from? And WHY? Just ... you'll regen in plenty of time. Just keep hitting things. If you are a scrapper, maybe kite for a little bit if you are ascardey. The only heal SR needs is a Knockdown AOE attack. Shockwave in this case will do nicely.
  2. Hmm that's kind of why I went with usually Tactical Arrow is a great set, but it doesn't really follow the Blaster Secondary Rules. It does make your Character pretty awesome though. Devices is definitely Melee Damage though, just on a Delay. But you could run back to range during the delay I guess. PFFT. I wonder on Stalkers how much the threat level and no taunt auras at all, etc matters for survivability. Solo Stalkers definitely are around that. But on teams? Seems like you never really face the same number of baddies as a scrapper unless you are running on ahead of the group (soloing)
  3. And with Tanker or even Brute HP there is enough cushion there that even if you get tagged into the red, you are pretty much in no danger. With Tough and Set bonuses + unique resist IOs you will be capped to S/L Resist with a fair amount of HP left.
  4. SR is a great set on Brutes and Tankers though. On Brutes it is what I wish it was on Scrappers. Perfect power progression plus Taunt Aura. On Tankers, SR matures super early. So you FEEL like it isn't getting much stronger over time. But that's just because you are at the Softcap while doing Posi and Synapse.
  5. Hmm. This is where people mentioning that Sentinels really aren't related to Blasters really clicks. Sentinels are Ranged Scrappers. Their damage and defense should be compared to Scrappers and adjusted based on the "Range" aspect. Sentinels aren't anything to do with Blasters. Blasters Have a Blast Primary (damage) and another (usually) Damage focused secondary. No one is going to come close to Blasters. That's why people can do weird crap like making Ranged Only Blasters. They have so many damage options available, they don't even have to use the damage in their secondaries to be viable.
  6. With the AOE target caps Sents have to live with, seems like a lot of potential ST wiggle room for this.
  7. Isn't there already a 40% hardcap thread?
  8. Wait. I'll go out of my way to make sure Manticore dies. Hate that guy. And he isn't fooling anyone, that hair is fake. Dude is bald.
  9. Its just not going to happen. I often post in favor of added difficulty. But I know limiting character power already granted is a no go, Sunk Costs and all that. So always need to go from the other side of the equation. Unfortunately that would leave Sentinels out in a relative sense still. Not that I think added difficulty is going to happen either. But I am in favor of it.
  10. If I couldn't save Dogmeat in the original fallout, I don't care about any of these others.
  11. Doesn't matter if it works or not, its Dead on Arrival. So is making bad guys harder. The only buy-in there will ever be is for optional content no one will play. So the way to make Sentinels shine more is some other way. Evidently true Status Protection at low level, Super Easy Soloing, Very easy Gameplay (just get within 60 feet and attack), and so on isn't enough. If its just the Get Gud guys bothering you though, Play on Everlasting. No one cares what you play over there, Everyone is receptive to RP reasons for everything. And Sentinels are about perfect for Superhero RP.
  12. Hey, I'm all about making the game harder. But It won't be. And that suggestion is DOA. So is the 40% hardcap btw. This is stuff that needed hashed out in Beta. Way too late.
  13. Too late for all that. You'd be nerfing every squishy build in the game just to add some more shine to a new AT?
  14. Sents should get the same range with their blast sets as everyone else. It won't help a lot, but its a kick in the shin that they don't deserve.
  15. Mostly a great post, but blasters being a ranged AT? What is that noise?
  16. What Server is this where there is such a running "Get Gud" style commentary that is described in this thread? It sounds more like a live server. If you want to Sentinel you should be fine. Sure you won't do equal damage to a Blaster. But that's just because Blasters are more better at doing damage. They also get stunned, knocked around, held, etc. That's why they are fun! There's actually some risk, even on the big billion inf builds. Sent is not nearly as risky. Should be reliable ranged damage, and you don't have to be afraid about throwing all the AOE blasts you can since you will be durable. So you can always contribute.
  17. People don't know the redside stuff as well
  18. When you stab someone with Spider claws there is a green poison effect as the DOT is applied.
  19. No FX on the poison effects too wouldn't be bad
  20. If you usually solo, then Stalker might be a better choice. Matures quicker / Exemplars better. Stalker Stealth for many missions. Much more durable than a blaster. Stalker solves the usual problem of Electric melee - ST, because it has the Assassin's shock. Then of course you get the Lightning Rod Telenuke. Added to this is the very strong Stalker ATOs.
  21. Paraphrasing another great game .. The gawds rarely interfere in human events
  22. I thought this was a good one as well. I wasn't bothered by the pacing, but maybe that's because I find most newer movies feel like they rush around, and I have gravitated to strong Narrative TV series.
  23. Potential Non noob friendly armors would be more like .. Dark, due to End cost and lack of KB prot. Fire, due to its survival being based on a heal and lack of KB prot. Willpower, since you need Fighting and/or IOs to really absorb alphas well. All great sets. And Willpower is pretty good as an armor for a semi noob. But they do have some challenges. As to needing multiple taunt auras to hold aggro? You don't. One Aura, the power Taunt, and Guantlet are an insane amount of aggro control
