If these powers are so useful in PVP perhaps some care should be made when trying to implement what amounts to buffs to them.
Since that could result in added PVP advantage.
SWTOR doesn't really feel like a MMO to me. It feels like a single player game that other people play in the same worldspace.
But yeah I don't ever see it dying until everyone has played through all the single player content or they release some single player version you can play offline or something. It really is a pretty good single player RP game.
Ill usually move up to but not attack the first group, then once everyone's in Ill start killing erm arresting stuff.
Often that gets ruined by other people moving up to me before everyone is in, standing too close or not stealthed and we have to start early. But I figure that's on them
Blasters existed before the term Blapper. The term wasn't needed until the scaredy pants ranged only Blasters showed up.
They should have called those Brangers.
Even when fighting zombies fire/fire has challenges.
Its a primary that has no mitigation effects of any kind save an unpredictable fear and sloe in ROF.
Combined with a secondary that only has hot feet's slow effect and the sustain. (Which also draws debuff aggro over a big radius)
So you have to use IOs or teammates do a lot of the work on the survival front.
The idea being kill em fast before they kill you like all blasters, but one of the more extreme examples.
Compare it to say an Energy blaster that knocks hordes of bad guys constantly on their butts.
So I'm with Hyperstrike, defense is the best option with this combo by far.
Good points.
Some people still have Boomer notions of what "consent" is. As the 14 year olds would say. Thinking unless there is a "NO" followed by a figurative slap or drink thrown in the face then its just "maybe".
Those people are idiots.
I think you were clear enough. The TOS and suchlike probably should never have the term ERP in it. It goes along with the whole Online interactions are not rated idea. I am sure the GMs do not want to be reading through people's private messages looking for wizard hat references.
You avoid it because of ERP?
Am I Everlasting wrong? Cause I never run into it. Not that I am interested in ERP-ing, or whatever the grammatically correct term is. Just that I wasn't aware it was some looming threat. And that's the server I play on usually.
Re-reading the OP I am struck by how Karen-ish it is though, as the 14 year olds would say.
All 5 of you are going to be snooping bios and reporting people? Even though you don't let the kids play anyway? Not for actually doing this activity, but saying they do it, at some nebulous point someday?
Yeah, I don't know. Seems a bit much.
Hmm. My eyes usually glaze over when I see long bios. Guess I never noticed if any were explicit or not. No one ever seems to ERP on PUGs during Task Forces or anything. I thought that was mainly a Pocket D thing. Since bar/tavern/etc RP bores me to tears I've never noticed it there either when going to Null to customize stuff.
That said its easy to avoid RP entirely (of any type) even on Everlasting. But on the other servers the incidental "danger" of any erp seems extremely slight. On those the 14 year old would be as unlikely to encounter any as any other MMO out there.
