plus no way unslotted, unprocced Health and Stamina are enough to really handle your attacks unslotted for end reduction. Having All 4 is nice. So Regen really is the best in that really low level world. Problem is you don't stay low level very long.

I don't think being a Kryptonian is specially not allowed. But being Superman, Supergirl, PowerGirl, General Zod, Krypto those are all out.
-
I don't like crossovers either though lol
-
Could you? Sure. I guess. My reaction to the idea though is .. yuck. I personally don't want to see any DC lore, or Marvel Lore, Star Wars Lore, and the rest of that crap. After all this is a pet peaves thread. ----- If I'm rping with someone that thinks they are a Kryptonian. I am going to either ignore that part of their RP, Just RP with someone else, OR treat them IC like they are crazy. Not a whole lot different than how I would treat someone who told me they were a Kryptonian IRL.

Yeah I guess at lower difficulties Regen is really good. Early END power, click heals, good Status protection power. Probably great for soloing arcs to see the content too. And of course you CAN build it strong. Because if you can build a Blaster strong, Of course you can build Regen strong. And since building Regen strong usually means lots of Recharge, you don't really have to gimp yourself to do it either. Damn Regen sounds almost good. No wonder it needs nerfed.

SR is miles ahead of Regen I'd suggest the hierarchy of needs for survival looks something like Defense -> Resistance -> Healing -> Passive Regeneration

Removing the Invisible Stealth Effect Client Side

>.< Was really hoping this was possible to do. -
Yeah. This is a real problem. COH has its own lore. Trying to import DC/Marvel and so on is really immersion breaking. Some make up their own lore. This is okay I guess. After all the game doesn't specifically say there aren't human like aliens with supes type powers .. But its actually a lot easier in COH given it HAS a built in origin for superman expies already ala well of furies and incarnates. Not to mention various groups trying to recreate similar powers out there.

Because they weren't trying to make movies, They were trying to make money. Its the same thing that's wrong with the prequels and to a lesser extent Return of the Jedi.

Might be easier to learn the ropes by trying a Sentinel, Scrapper or Brute. Welcome to the game, glad you are trying it out.

"The Game is not Balanced around IO's"..... should it be?
Haijinx replied to Galaxy Brain's topic in General Discussion
I'd play it for standard rewards - or even less rewards, but as I said the game is about teams. At least to me. And so you'd want teams to go. Lets play on .. whatever difficulty. And to do that most are going to want incentives Because a lot of people like smooshing wimpy opposition. Probably like to TGM in console commands too. -

And then again, Why would people PLAY this difficulty option? You all are basically like broken records. It should be in the NORMAL MAX DIFFICULTY option. Not some crazy TF limitations setting option. -

I think a lot of us play to play on teams. -

Generally they avoid pitting Superman against say ... Jimmie Olson though (Spin Doctors tunes non-withstanding) The Bad guys are still playing in the no IO's no Incarnates world. Something that should be adjusted. At least on say .. Max Difficulty. -

will be hard to find a team if you spread the playerbase among 1000 COH's -
"The Game is not Balanced around IO's"..... should it be?

I'm not asking you to solve the problem for me. I'm trying to understand the motivation behind wanting the game to be this easy. And how its tied to how people like being "Super" Many people say its because its a Super Hero game. You seem to be in that camp. So I was wondering what Super Hero comics you mean, because the ones where Super Amazing Guy can't lose are my least favorite comics. I fully understand that Homecoming has no choice but to ride this power crept game mechanics nightmare down the road it is on. So I actually expect the problem will not get solved. I will eventually just stop logging in at all, and I'll find something else to do. If that's how it is that's fine. But maybe if I understood why people prefer it that way I'd be cooler with it. -

If they were to tweak the game mechanics, they would run the risk people would just go to another COH server. That's kind of the downside to not having a monopoly on the MMO you are tweaking. -

Just curious, but if you are a superhero fan, I imagine you are a Superman fan? Thor? Etc. Me. I prefer the gritty street level stuff that is set in Gotham. Generally not the main title Batman stuff though, since he too is too much of a boring invincible sue. The off title Batman stuff though I like. I'm not against powered heroes. But I want Superheroes that can LOSE. That struggle against unimaginable odds. The under dog. The scrappy kid that is struggling to do something because Captain Super Amazing and his Superbros didn't understand the danger. And so forth. -

You are actively encouraged to use IOs in this game. There are popups and everything. There were even missions, maybe still are. You are actively encouraged to use Incarnate powers in this game. There are popups and everything. There are missions. So you build your character, the way you are actively encouraged to. And at some point your character becomes so powerful, that most (almost all) of the opposition you encounter is pathetically weak by comparison. Sappers? lulz. A whole horde of +3 Elite Bosses? Don't make me laugh. Another Archvillian? Please. Yes I get that a lot of people like things that way. But really I think that its bad for the health of the game, as a game. This is the only MMO I've ever played where I have ZERO fear of ANY content. I used to. I remember whole team wipes being common in this game. It could be really hard if you ran into groups like Arachnos, or Malta or whatever. Ah well. This is probably why I find that I'm logging on less and less, and keep finding reasons to put off building any new characters projects. -

You are actually suggesting people should have to hunt and search for challenging content on the Maximum standard difficulty setting? -

That's how all these "You can always pick no inspirations, No enhancements, etc" arguments sound from my perspective.
