Null the Gull Option: Set Gender for Badge Titles
Rudra replied to SilentSpy's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
But that doesn't answer my 1st question. Like I said, the trans people I know have the ultimate goal of undergoing the surgery to physically change their biological gender to their identified gender. So I don't understand the point of making a male character with the tag "Is female" or a female character with the tag "Is male". If the character identifies as a specific gender, then why not have the character complete their transition to the other gender? Non-gendered individuals I understand using those tags, such as a male or female character with the tag "Is They" or something. Why make a character that identifies as a gender and not let that character actually get to be the gender they identify as? There is no expensive surgery to have to wait to be able to afford, they can just walk up to any tailor nurse and have their gender changed to match. Okay, this part I get. -
Null the Gull Option: Set Gender for Badge Titles
Rudra replied to SilentSpy's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I do have a question. A couple actually. I know a few trans individuals and their ultimate goal is to be able to afford the operation to transition to their identified gender. So why not just have the character start as their identified gender and so avoid having to worry about Null altering your listed gender identity? Also, for people that don't identify as either gender, they refer to themselves as they, which isn't even a listed gender in the game. So I can see that being added for a gender identity, but how would that interact with the badge titles? There is The Once and Future King. There is The Once and Future Queen. What would be the correct badge title for neither? -
So you are still demanding that players like me give up our characters? No.

As a soloist player, I get that. Which is why I avoid sets like Thermal Radiation. However, this is a multiplayer focused game even if we have progressed to the point where we can solo pretty much everything because of all the power creep and the incarnate powers system. So I at least understand why there are team focused sets. I've long since given up on them becoming soloist sets, because this is meant as a multiplayer experience. Edit: Also, Empathy doesn't need any CC or pets or debuffs. It has layered heals, Mag 10.38 mez protection (all), buffed perception, extremely buffed regeneration and recovery, stronger defenses than any other support set, +endurance, and high +recharge (plus -recharge resist and slow resist). There is a reason why the saying is to have a pocket empath to support you and not just a pocket support.

Was editing my post, but you replied while I was still looking things up. So! Fortitude (120s duration/60s recharge) Fade (60s duration/240s recharge) Shadow Fall (maintained toggle effect) +11.25% DEF (All) +9.375% DEF (All) +3.75% DEF (All) +25% damage +9.375% damage resist (Smash, lethal, negative, and psionic) +15% damage resist (Smash, lethal, negative, and psionic) +15% ToHit +34.6% resist defense debuff +35.5 feet Stealth radius Considering how easy it is to cut a power's recharge in half? That would make Fortitude permanent without having to consider Hasten or other such measures. And Fortitude starts out already perma. Yeah, I'd say that is rather strong for an affects self too power. Anyway, this is what I wanted to add to my previous post. The rest of you can go back to discussing this among yourselves. Edit: And for fairness: Farsight (120s duration/240s recharge) +9.375% DEF (All except toxic) +10% ToHit +51.9% resist Perception debuff +346 ft. Perception

I was planning on staying out of this conversation, but are you seriously comparing Dark Affinity's Soul Absorption (45 second duration) which can only work if there are enemies in range to drain from to anything from Empathy which requires no enemies anywhere on the map to be used? Or Nature Affinity's Wild Growth with its +100% regen to Empathy's +500% regen? Are you saying Empathy's Adrenaline Boost (90 second duration) with its +100% recharge, +800% recovery, +500% regeneration, and +80% resist all slow effects is not as good as Nature Affinity's Overgrowth (60 second duration) with its +93.125% endurance discount, +66% damage, and +10% ToHit or Time Manipulation's Chrono Shift with its +212 HP heal, +15% endurance (90 second duration?), +50% recharge (90 second duration) and +30% recovery (30 second duration)? Because while they bring different things to the table, Empathy's Adrenaline Boost doesn't look inferior to me. (And you would need to compare the T9s to each other if you're going to compare the sets for specific powers.) Look, I don't care if Empathy gets buffed or not. I have no stake in this. Your comparison however has me rather confused.

Just because we post a suggestion on the forums does not mean it is going to be implemented. And even if it were going to be implemented, the devs won't just tell us.

Null the Gull Option: Set Gender for Badge Titles
Rudra replied to SilentSpy's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The game does actually refer to a player's character by pronouns. Quite often actually. Which has brought up a few complaints on the Bug Reports forum for the pronoun referring to the wrong gender. (Some contacts and enemies, mostly enemies, have their original line of text where gendered pronouns weren't incorporated, so everyone is "he" in those lines.) -
The server seems to have rolled back. Don't know why. I didn't lose anything I had on the AH, but I also didn't have any recent postings. (Edit: I do have postings, just not anything from the past day. And those postings are still on the AH.) However, I did suddenly get some tells that I had already seen as if I hadn't logged in prior. Check your inf'. My guess is it is probably where it was prior to your postings.

She doesn't have an invisible lasso, invisible sword, or invisible shield. We're talking weapon sets, not travel powers. Edit: The only times I've "seen" invisible weapons, other than in the original Kung Fu Panda movie where the invisible trident is only "seen" on its stand, the invisible weapon hurts its would be wielder because they can't see it. Edit again: Look, in the case of the hook hands (or similar weapon glove models should they be added), I'm fine with those overriding the Claws weapon models or having added claws weapon models that are hooks (and so would disappear into the hook gloves). Those are still weapons being used for the Claws weapon set. If a player wants to have claws that aren't weapons though? They have the Savage Melee set for that. (Which is why it exists.) Weapon sets being made to where there is no weapon though? No, I oppose that.

It failed every time I tried it. And when I asked about it, was informed it failed every time by others. So while I'm glad it worked for you, the likelihood of it failing means it should be avoided. Like @Riverdusk said.

To the best of my knowledge, it is impossible to respec while you have an unused level up. The command works, but the final result fails. Try rebooting the game. Everything should come back.

Self buffs are never as much as buffs you give to others. And having 2 similar self-buffing powers is overkill. It is fine as is with one being self, and the other to be used on others. Especially since while Mystic Fortune results and Secondary Mutation results don't stack with themselves, they do stack with each other? Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. Let's not make Mystic Fortune also usable on self. (And to the best of my knowledge, they aren't meant to be anything more than something fun to do, hence the can turn into a Rikti Monkey with Secondary Mutation, so trying to pick between which random effect power is better for the solo player beyond one can affect self and the other can't, is bit much for me.)

My best guess? The devs have a lot on their plates to fix or make, and they haven't gotten to it yet. I'm not a dev though, so I don't know the answer. All I do know is yes, the problem exists, yes the problem has been reported, and others are able to bring it up when they notice it too. Our game's code is notorious for its intractability, so the best I can say is give them time. Edit: I am in no way saying not to report the bug because it has been reported before. By all means, report the bugs you find. The sole reason why I responded was because the OP ended with:

Storm Summoning - Lightning Storm movement
Rudra replied to Captynrj's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
To the best of my knowledge, it is a pseudo-pet. Something created for the power to work, rather than an actual pet. The problem with looking it up, is Lightning Storm, Rain of Fire, Ice Storm, Blizzard, you name it are all listed as pets, but aren't actually pets. -
No, it is a bug. It has been reported before.

How to make a Signature Power system
Rudra replied to PancakeGnome's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Isn't that what they are supposed to do to help further the game? No. For the devs to sit down with each individual player to craft a signature power for each of their characters is an impossible undertaking. -
Well, the melees sure won't be doing much if they lack ranged attacks. However, yeah, that map is pretty bad for getting mobs stuck in various locations. Usually, if you stay just out of their happy zone (stay just where they can't lose you but have to keep trying to reach you), they keep hopping until they break free from the geometry and then rejoin you. Not ideal, and the map does need its geometry checked, but that's the best I can give you. (And since Citadel is the only EB ally on that map, yeah, that would lend to the Freedom Phalanx and Vindicators getting stomped if you didn't have him. Having all of them on hand though? Makes for an easy Jade Spider encounter.)

It was a well known issue back on Live. And there were a lot of complaints that only if the player knew where to go or if they clicked every door on the map that the mission was essentially broken. Then the waypoint was added. However, the map was not changed to place the location on it, so if you managed to lose the waypoint somehow, not saying you did, then you would have to rely on mission familiarity or lots of patience to get through it. There is a chance, however slight, the person that helped you was remembering from way back then. There is also a chance, which is more likely, that the waypoint marker itself glitched. This happens occasionally on the zone maps where the mission waypoint gets stuck on a door or the wrong part of the zone map. However, if that were the case, you should still have seen the waypoint marker, just affixed to the wrong place. So in all honesty, I have absolutely no idea what happened to the mission when you did it. I can only vouch for my own experiences and what happened back on Live. So even if what you are reporting is a rare occurrence, it still needs to be looked at. It just means troubleshooting it is going to be a matter of luck if it isn't readily replicable.

Not entirely sure, unless they have a Hero alignment with an added flag that prevents them from going to blue side zones. (Edit: And similar for Villain alignment.) If I remember (and understand) correctly though? I think Praetorians have no alignment. (But do have a flag that lets Pocket D missions see them as having one?)
-
*suddenly pictures Atlas Park flooded with female characters running around wearing censor bars* 🤣 It'd be like that one game at the arcade where players typed in a code for their name and got a naked female wearing censor bars. That game was highly popular at the time.
-
Per the Live devs, the game only has 2 alignments: Hero and Villain. Rogues and Vigilantes are still Villains and Heroes, but cludged to be able to get to the other side's zones. Praetorians are another cludge and aren't Hero or Villain, as best as I know. And if you give them the ability to get one of the alignments before they finish the Praetorian content? Then they will only be able to do the First Ward and Night Ward content (when they get to an appropriate level to do so). So, there is a reason why Null won't even give the alignment change option to Praetorians.

That's odd. When I've run that TF, the Freedom Phalanx are the ones that destroy the Jade Spider. I can usually just stand back and watch them do it.

I'm sorry you have not yet received your payment. I assure you it was processed and sent during the last board meeting. If you have not already received it, then you need to submit the appropriate paperwork to the proper offices requesting supplementary payment. Our offices are currently busy right now, but we should be able to review your request sometime in the next year. 😁
