Also, given how fast some people on these forums said they can take a brand new character to 50, I don't really see a need to add more code to a game notorious for its code just to shave a few hours off the already existing process. Just my take on it. Edit: I know I said on another thread that I was fine with players recycling their level 50s, but this isn't the same thing. And my stance on even recycling existing 50s is rather fluid right now.

I don't know if you have tried this or not, but what I do in AE is if I have a character that is unique, I have a group just for them. And that uniques grouping is simply not used by me as a faction in any AE mission. Any faction characters I make go into their respective AE faction grouping I make, and so the uniques in their group are never pulled from in AE unless I set up an occurrence where that character is supposed to be there, such as a specific boss spawn. Even if the unique is supposed to be part of that faction I am using in the mission, the unique is kept in the uniques group and not in the faction group.

As @biostem said, events are going to pull players away from other content. It happens with every event every year. Especially when new badges are added to said events when they are re-released. Also, when you get something that has such a large draw and is open to all levels for rapid leveling, as is actually encouraged by some devs and players for ToT'ing, you are going to get players that choose to do nothing after joining. It is unfortunate, but also inevitable, and there is nothing that can really be done to change that without punishing the player base writ large to stop whatever proportion is just passively earning. All that said? As you are noticing, the focus on events dies down after a week or two. This happens every time as well. To the point that latecomers to events struggle to get new badges or large enough teams for event specific elements after the first couple weeks. While this is not the solution you want, nor a solution at all for that matter, just waiting a week or two for a large enough player base to be bored of the event alleviates the problem of forming teams/leagues for other content.

Nope. Every response is wrong. There is no correct choice to not have the Nictus get suspicious of you and reveal you. I tried all of them. Toggle suppression is supposed to be a thing now. I'm really surprised it is not in that mission. I mean, it's not like the Skulls mission where you have to use a Gravedigger's power instead of your own. So yeah, retaining toggles, but suppressed would really be appreciated in that mission. -
Haven't run anything yet. No opinion. (Edit: The characters I've been playing are already past the changes, so can't test them. The characters I can test with, I haven't been playing recently and won't until the computer with their planned builds is operational again.)

There was never an actual chicken costume in CoX. As @starro said, there were some very creative individuals who took available costume elements, colored them as close to chicken as they could, and did a really good job of blending them into a chicken costume until you took a close look at them. (Edit: Suspension of disbelief made them very good chickens. Only if you were pointedly looking for flaws would the illusion break.)

*shrug* Indifferent on that. If they do that? Okay. The heads can have their mouths open just enough to hold weapons and still work for the OP. Or weapon holding specific heads could be created, though that would entail a lot more work and redundant entries in the creator list. Edit: Let's be honest. I really don't see the OP being used by anyone except for very niche characters. Except for the new heads. As in for the actual character head. Please at least give us serpent, cobra, lung, and drake heads for our characters. If I don't get the head hands? I can live with that. At least give us the actual heads though, please.

The travel power sets were broken off from other pool sets because asking players to wait until level 14 to make their wings work or their speedster run was always a bit ludicrous. The other power pools should not ever be made to match the way the travel pools are now. -
I'm not going to develop a full metal set, but some thoughts on how I would have tackled a metal set: Metal Hide: Auto power that provides smash/lethal resist and defense. Defense because a metal armor is supposed to be good at keeping the blow from penetrating to injure the wearer. So I would presume a natural metal hide would also work the same way. Heat Treated: Auto power that provides fire/energy resist. Also provides additional smash/lethal defense/resist. Insulating Coating: Toggle power that provides energy/cold resist. Also provides mez protection because armor sets get mez protection. Hardening: Toggle (maybe auto?) power that provides additional damage resist. The theme is a generic metal defense set. Could be iron, steel, gold (despite how bad it is for armor), silver, unobtanium, whatever. Player decides what the metal is. And I just threw some bits of metal treatment with the added insulator (maybe an underlying rubber layer or core, or some sci-fi external coating) to expand the resists. No special visual effects in this version. So it can be used with available armors in the costume creator without overriding them, or more subtle metal themed character appearances. (Edit: Maybe the visual effect can be a radiance of some type like one of the auras to show the metal gleaming?) I'm not saying this is what your set should be. I'm giving this as an example of something other players can look at and start making more informed decisions on.

Power creep is always presented as a quality of life change/improvement. This is power creep, not quality of life. -
Let's try this then. Question 1: Out of the 9 powers presented, which ones are auto powers, which ones are toggles, and which ones are exclusive toggles? Question 2 (and 3): Mercury is listed as a cone power that gives the using character an increase in max HP and a boost to toxic resistance. What makes it a cone? How does it affect enemies or allies in that cone? Question 4: How is resisting mezzes or psionics, or boosting Perception, a metal thing? (You also have a known toxin, a metal liquid at room temperature that is readily absorbed by the body, granting toxic resist for some reason.)

I had no clue what you were trying for with this set last night. Was avoiding pointing out that having that many different metals would actually make for poor armor. (Some of those metals will "eat" some of the others for instance.) However, if the idea is they are all exclusive toggles? No thank you. I never want to go back to that in this game ever again.

Wouldn't Gunshow make more sense as a fear/intimidate effect than a self-heal? Just wondering. Edit: What about using the Tough animation and calling it Psyche Up! ? You psyche yourself up and heal, boosting your REC for a short while.

Okay, this one is going to be out there. Like, really, really out there. Earlier today I started thinking about an anime giant robot that had dragon-head motif decorations on its arms. I don't know where it was from, so please don't ask. I saw it quite some time ago. And I started wondering about dragon head blast attacks. (As in the dragon heads would be where the ranged attacks come from, like a dragon cannon or something. [Enter Kung Fu Panda. Oh well.]) Then I started thinking of a Pathfinder serpentfolk race that lacks hands. Instead, they have additional heads where their hands should be. Now that the excessive monologue explaining where my dementia came from is done, my really, really, really weird idea? Beast head hands! Okay, so the request is for various animal/beast heads with open mouths (roaring, howling, open to bite, whatever) to replace hands with. I'm talking lung (oriental dragon), drake (western dragon), serpent (of course), wolf, lion/tiger, and bird (probably eagle). Note that the heads already exist except for the dragons and serpents. So yeah, I'm also asking for dragon and serpent heads for our heads too. You may now stone me for my blasphemy. 😄 Edit: I just remembered where the idea came from. It was a giant robot match someone made on YouTube. One of the giant robots had lion head hands and feet, not dragon. My mistake. Sorry.

What is wrong with having a ranged power in the fiery melee set? Almost every melee set has a single ranged attack for dealing with enemies that won't close. -

You never said they weren't either. You simply posted a collection of powers in an OP you authored and asked for a vote. Without a reference to the actual creator of the ideas, you are in effect claiming them as your own ideas. How is anyone supposed to think those power sets are not your own ideas when you give no reference for where you are getting them? That is the point of references, to give credit where it actually belongs. Your claim that you never said they were your ideas is a poor deflection at best. No better than a child telling his/her parents (s)he isn't getting a cookie while having his/her hand in the cookies. -
The idea behind Group Flight and Team Teleport were so that those with the travel powers could help their teammates that had no travel powers get around. Except everyone took their own travel power, so having a taxi teammate power was wasted. The closest taxi teammates got to being viable was the Taxibot SG that helped lower level characters get around the Hollows. They didn't use Group Flight or Team Teleport though. It wasn't until MMs got added in City of Villains that Group Flight and Team Teleport actually started having a practical use since MM pets couldn't get their own travel powers. And the holdover effect upsetting players (like me) that wound up on a team with an MM running Group Flight is why Null picked up the ability to grant characters a hidden power rendering them immune to Group Flight. There was a push for a while for MM pets to automatically inherit the MM's travel power, specifically Flight, because so many players (like me) HATE being affected by Group Flight. Not even counting those players whose characters lost access to attacks because they were now not in contact with the ground. Counter-thought: However, if even MM pets no longer need Group Flight to exist, then why even keep the power? Removing the power will cause pushback. (I have no idea how much or little, but pretty sure someone will be upset if it is proposed for removal.) I like the idea of those that want Group Flight being able to use it. I hate the idea of it affecting players that don't want it to affect them. And most times, I don't even think of using Null to avoid it. (I mostly play solo, so when it comes up, it tends to catch me off guard.) So some of the proposals in the OP are definitely winners in my book. Particularly option A.
