  1. Unless you go into something with the agreement that individuals doing that something with you are not expected to actually do anything, having others that join and do nothing is a rather frustrating feeling. That frustration tends to put a damper on the fun those participating feel in a game like this. So those that go AFK and do nothing when the league they join starts their task saps the enjoyment of some who are actually participating. I know I've felt that frustration, and that is what I am basing this post on. However, to me at least, that only kicks in after the league is formed and the task started.
  2. I would like this. I would really like this. My MM levels up and the pets auto-level up too so I don't need to dismiss and re-summon? Great! My friend chooses a lower level Ouroboros mission and my pets don't just fall over dead waiting to be re-summoned? Great! However, I'm not sure this can be done. I'm led to believe this because of how pets function when you are sidekicked up. They don't fall over dead, they just stay their previous lower level. So it seems to me, and this is strictly my perception, that once the pets are summoned, they are no longer directly linked to the player character for level. So when we exemplar down, all the pets are dismissed to avoid having level 50 pets running around a say level 9 mission. If this can be done? Great! I would really like to have it. I'm just not sure it can be. Would a dev mind replying to let us know if this is even possible? Would be appreciated.
  3. I disagree. So I'll just leave it at we disagree.
  4. You already made this post. Why are you re-posting the same thing?
  5. I'm still not a fan of this idea. Takes away one of the incentives for players to be any given alignment.
  6. I'd never use it, but I'm sure someone somewhere would. If only for the sheer hilarity. 😄
  7. Yeah, the wiki is great source of information, but the data on it has already been changed at least once. It was the first place I went to look up a reference for the OP though. The rest of the lore you have to glean from the comments made by NPCs in the game. Like there was talk somewhere of the Nictus attacking the Peacebringers; feeding off them and using them as living batteries as part of a war. Like how Twilight Son says The Coming Storm does to his race, except that it is other Kheldians (the Nictus). Either way, a new type of Kheldian could be interesting. No opposition from me on that. It's just the lore as provided by the wiki and the in-game comments that leads me to think the background of the... what the hell do we call these? ... makes me think they will need a different approach lore-wise to be added.
  8. Anyone that goes AFK and doesn't click the okay button to not be disconnected when it pops up gets disconnected after 10 minutes. So by that token, your request already exists.
  9. An interesting take, but I don't see it working as advertised. Not as far as lore goes. The Kheldians are a science-based race. Peacebringers are Kheldians that join with a willing host. The Nictus are Kheldians that have taken a darker path, feeding off the life energy of others. So their host need not be willing, because the host is basically just a shell and meal for the Nictus. Warsahdes have already walked the dark path of the Nictus. They are already transformed, but have chosen to cast off that darkness and seek redemption. All of this happened... millennia ago? Anyway, in CoX, the Peacebringers and Warshades are basically two different branches of the Kheldian race. And not even from the same place if I understand the lore right. So a Kheldian is either a Nictus or not a Nictus, there is no becoming a Nictus at this point. However, there is still room for a hybrid Kheldian. It would just need to be written in differently than your current proposal. Such as Nictus experiments that attempted to infuse Peacebringer fragments into Nictus volunteers to bolster their powers, giving rise to a new type of Kheldian. Which could then rise against their Nictus masters, either because of their Peacebringer natures fighting against their Nictus natures, or because of a Kheldian arc that has the players free the new Kheldian race, or some other reason; and become your "Grey Kheldian" AT. Hells, it could even be an attempt by the Peacebringers and Warshades to bridge the gap between them, thus avoiding the need for an uprising against Nictus creators altogether.
  10. I was hoping you had come up with a burrowing pool, or a swingline pool, or even... huh... there's an odd thought... a translocation pool... sort of like teleport except you have to have to have a target, and you trade places with that target....
  11. The Trolls dammed the Red River in the Hollows. Ostensibly to flood the zone. Which would also flood/destroy their Troll Tunnels, so not exactly an intelligent action on their part.
  12. Psionics is simply a term for mental powers and can be considered an effect in CoH. Psionics itself is not tied to an origin. Magic can be used to create psionics such as a spell of mind reading. Mutations can be a source of psionics such as Jean Grey, Professor X, and other characters in comics. Science can be used to create psionics such as by the use of drugs (See the Dune series of books) and mental "re-wiring" such as seen in... I can't remember that movie's name.... Technology can be used to create psionics such as through devices like the "psychic headband". (A technological creation that is worn around the head and enables the wearer to project and read thoughts.) Natural characters can use psionics by mental training, typically under the tutelage of some Grand Sage.
  13. The thing to understand between Ghost Widow and Numina has nothing to do with their emotional state at the time their bodies expired. Ghost Widow was a regular Night Widow working with a regular Wolf Spider (rank unknown) at the time of her death. Her soul, her mind, her spirit, whatever, was not separate. She was a normal widow and died. Because of her loyalty to Arachnos and her friend Paolo, her spirit lingered after death. Thus, she is a ghost. She died and her spirit vacated her body at the time of her demise, only to remain tethered to the world by her anchor: service to Arachnos. Which works as the normal expected task that causes a ghost to linger in most lore. Numina was a magic origin hero who astrally projected herself to stop her foe. Her mind was separate from her body prior to its demise. For all intents and purposes, her body was an empty husk while the person that is Numina was elsewhere in an astral projection state. When her body was killed, she was not linked to it. She simply no longer had a body to return to. Thus, she is a free astral projection, or an unbound astral projection if you prefer. The death of her body had nothing to do with her being an astral projection, it just meant she could not return to her body and end her astral projection state. (Edit: Meaning Numna is still technically alive, just disembodied. So she can grow as an individual, adapt, and change. Something Ghost Widow cannot readily do without external pressure of some sort applied to her anchor such as when she starts siding with the character in her patron arcs.)
  14. It has 3 spawn locations, and I could have sworn it does post a waypoint marker on the map when it starts. You have to open the map and click the red star marker, but it should be there. Or am I getting mixed up with the Steel Canyon Fires? Edit: About the only change I would make to the Troll Rave is to make the Supas and raving Trolls levelless so players that want the badge don't start the rave and suddenly everything dies because a 50 popped in, refuses to team with you, and just nukes everything constantly until the rave ends.
  15. Can the Freedom Phalanx members be allowed to leave their posts? What about characters that are members of Vanguard and a SG? Ms. Liberty is the head of Longbow and a member of the Vindicators. Apex does not have to leave his post at Vanguard to work with War Witch again or reconstitute their SG.
  16. Background History Numina, old model Numina was born Tammy Arcanus, daughter of Tommy Arcanus of the Midnight Squad. Tommy delved so deeply into the metaphysical that his very being was affected, and Tammy was born with magical powers. Early in her super-powered career, Tammy joined the Midnight Squad. In the 1960s, she and her team were sent into a series of caverns surrounding the Earth's molten core. It was there that the Red Threat, a Soviet villain, intended to destroy the world. To save the Earth, Tammy possessed the body of the Red Threat. She minimized the damage, but her body was destroyed. Her consciousness survived, trapped within the Red Threat until he was killed in prison during the Rikti Invasion. Tammy's astral form was at last free. She renamed herself Numina and threw herself into the war against the Rikti. In the war's aftermath, Numina uses her abilities to nurture the next generation of heroes. Numina is one of the Surviving Eight, dedicated to helping Paragon City rebuild after the Rikti War. Numina's sidekick is Infernal although he has become a full-fledged hero in his own right as a member of the Vindicators. She is helping him become acclimated to Primal Earth. Copied straight from paragonwiki.com. And in the arc where you are working for Ghost Widow against Numina, Ghost Widow tells you that since Ghost Widow is a ghost and Numina is an astral projection, they have a hard time hurting each other. She may not have a body any more, but the game at multiple points says she is specifically an astral projection, not a ghost.
  17. @KingCeddd03, I highly recommend you put in the effort to flesh out your ideas before posting them on the forums. You can bounce your ideas off your friends for further development, either online or personally. Otherwise, there isn't enough information for anyone to have a discussion on and make an informed decision. A little effort researching and developing your ideas before asking the devs to consider it goes a long way.
  18. Using the MSR as an example because you did. I've joined a few MSRs and I went AFK every time. It seems to take forever for those to actually finish forming. And I sit AFK the entire time I am on the league waiting for it to launch. The extent of my involvement? I click the do not disconnect me from the game button when it pops up. When the MSR finally launches? I'm right there with everyone else moving to the pylons. I may be a little slow to move, but I catch up at the first pylon. So for personal reasons? I oppose this suggestion. The only AFK'ers I am in support of removing from the league are those that don't contribute after the MSR finally launches. Until then? Let everyone have their little grey AFK bubbles in peace.
  19. Positron replaced Statesman. So War Witch will not be Statesman's replacement. Numina is not a ghost. She is an astral projection. (Edit: And as a magic origin controller, she can call herself a mage, magic user, spellcaster, or whatever she wants just fine while being in her astral projection form.) Apex can do his own thing and still work with War Witch again. And considering he is still carrying her sword from when she died, I'm inclined to think he would be more than happy to work with War Witch again. And he doesn't have to lose his position as a TF contact to do so either. All the Freedom Phalanx are doing just fine as TF contacts in separate zones despite all being on the same team and working together in one or two arcs.
  20. Who says War Witch has a better body? She has her body, just from an alternate reality. In the comics, she did basically the same things Serene did, just without joining the Talons of Vengeance. Let War Witch do her own thing, whatever that thing may be that the devs decide they want her to do. (Maybe even have an arc or mission where she teams up with Apex again?)
  21. I agree. None of the emotes, whether sitting or laying, works with the carnie couch. Makes placing NPCs on them... irritating....
  22. If at first you don't succeed, ask, ask again? And the thread's title implies that you want all the pool powers including the ones that currently require you to have 2 other powers from the pool to not have prerequisites. I don't know how many times the same argument can be had on this. To be clear, I am against comparing non-travel pools to travel pools. That is akin to comparing them to Patron power pools in my book. I am against power creep, which at least the author had the integrity to admit this is rather than claim "quality of life" like every other person that asks this. I'm against this proposal. For reasons already given on every other thread that asked for this.
  23. Thanks for the explanation. Greatly appreciated.
  24. I'm confused. I checked Cox Masterminds, Defenders, Corruptors, and Controllers for Force Bubble and didn't see it. So I checked City of Data for Force Bubble, and it only turns up as a Midnight Masters assist power. I don't play Force Field characters, so please enlighten me. What is Force Bubble? The OP references Dispersion Bubble which according to City of Data provides increased defense for the team and mez protection. No reference to KB or repel. Then the OP switches from Dispersion Bubble to Force Bubble which does not seem to be a player available power. Since I refuse to use Force Field, I have no stake in this discussion. However, it would be nice to at least be able to follow along.
  25. I'm not psychic and it is your idea. If you can't explain it, then why should I bother trying to understand it?
