  1. You know, so far the only responses against Null being in the RWZ (and hopefully also the Abyss and Hive) is "Well, you should have done so when you were staring out! Shame on you!" Are there any other reasons why this is a bad idea other than we should have known and already done it?
  2. Huh. Didn't know it only affected teammates. I only encounter it at Hami', so that makes sense. My apologies.
  3. So I guess I'm saying, please don't force me to play according to your standards. Thanks.
  4. I must be doing something seriously wrong. Only my brutes can go +4/x8. And only against groups that focus on doing damage my brute excels at taking. I'm rather fond of the game's current difficulty level, and my mind was blown when the new difficulty levels were added because people wanted a more difficult game. So on multiple grounds I oppose this post's proposal. Firstly, I already struggle with several enemy factions and don't want to find fighting them impossible. "AAAHHHH! SAPPERS!!!! My defensive toggles!!!!!" (Also, there are already too many auto-hit powers enemies get access to in my opinion.) Secondly, making some power sets less appealing is the absolute wrong way to do things. Seriously? What do you have against mace? I don't get how you think your proposed changes would make dominators/controllers more desirable, reduce high damage ATs damage output, or increase the amount of thought people put into their power choices either. Controllers/dominators already tend to be preferred for their ability to bolster the team and lock down AVs/Monsters. High damage ATs are fine, it is the lack of competitiveness some of their power sets have against each other that needs help. (Check out Kinetic Melee with its insanely long animation times and surprisingly low damage some time.) And aside from players who focus on the FotM powers/ATs or follow other's min/max guides to <insert type> greatness, there is a great deal of thought required in finding power sets and their associated enhancements that complement your play style and keep you from face-planting. (You know, without going with what other players have already established as Penultimate <insert AT> Build of Greatness!!!!!!!! references.)
  5. I don't want to keep the pop up tray on, no. Neither do I care if it is there. Scary as the thought is, I actually use the pop up try on occasion. I'm flying across Nerva/Independence from the far north/south to the far other end? I actually trigger my afterburner if I'm a flier. (It only shaves a few seconds off, but I'm neurotic enough to go for it.) I actually use the teleport that comes with the added pool set travel powers. Not often, but often enough that having the pop up tray there doesn't bother me. So please lower your cross, put your Bible down, and come sit a spell with me. I've got drinks and snacks, and I'll even pit my golden fiddle against your fiddling skills. (And I still think adding Null to the Vanguard base and the Abyss/Hive "hospitals" is a good idea.)
  6. If he is going to solo somewhere else on the map, why would he need to quit a team? How does playing solo and being affected by someone else's group fly translate to being on a team? And have you ever tried asking a player with group fly to turn it off? They get ANGRY because you asked. Every time. (If there are players out there that don't, I apologize. Haven't met any of you yet.) Why would I feel shame? Most times I'm running around solo and the options Null gives don't matter to me. It's only when I finally decide to join a Hami' and am affected by a power I don't typically encounter running around solo that I finally remember "Hey! Null the Gull in Pocket D!" Thank you for remembering all the things players need to remember when they make a new character. I was starting to feel awkward thinking I was the only one with a long laundry list of new character tasks. So yeah, I'm all for duplicating Null to the Vanguard base in RWZ (and the "hospital" in the Abyss and the Hive).
  7. Sure. Next character I make that I think I should try a Hami' on, I'll immediately go do it. If I remember. (I already go back to Pocket D after being affected by it at Hami' and turning it off. Thanks though.)
  8. (And before anyone says "Well, since you Hami', you should already know!", I only rarely do a Hami' raid. A raid once per month is me being rabidly dedicated to attending a Hami' raid, and I am rarely that dedicated to doing them. So yeah, most times I don't have a need to remember. And moving me and my pets out of the radius? Is a good way to wind up monster chow.)
  9. I don't know about lazy. Personally, I forget about group fly and team teleport until I am affected by them. And when I am affected, I am waiting for a Hami' raid to launch and don't want to get locked out of the zone. Guess I need that nanny to remind me to don trousers. Anyone know a reliable but cheap one?
  10. (Also, please understand, I understand there are times when someone needs to go AFK. Even during a big fight. Like Greycat says though, having the rez not enter cooldown if it is not used/accepted would be very helpful.)
  11. That would be nice. I mostly use Howling Twilight so it wouldn't benefit me, but it would work great for other players. Then even if a target went AFK, the rez would still be available for someone that will actually use the rez and help win the fight. (Not having such a long wind up for the rez would be nice too, but let's not be greedy.)
  12. I would agree if they suffered harm. All these villains, and again, bosses, elite bosses, and archvillains, are running away because they suffered a single debuff? As if enduring pain while inflicting it was something an archvillain was incapable of enduring and never had before? The mechanic is too sensitive. Great Overlord of Darkness sees his lackey blinded by sand. "The hero threw sand in Bob's face! Everyone retreat! It doesn't matter that we also have super powers and outnumber the hero 6 to 1! Run for your lives!" Sorry. Doesn't make as much sense to me.
  13. Never noticed it on Live. At least nowhere near this bad. I could drop debuffs on mobs all day on Live and they wouldn't run until they were at least hurt. Typically 50% health or so remaining and at least one mob defeated. For mobs, especially bosses, EBs, and AVs to run away at full health because I debuffed their accuracy, or their resist? A single debuff with no accompanying damage causes everything to run for the hills? No, it never worked like that on Live for me. Then again, maybe I was just lucky all that time and now the mechanic is smacking me in the face like it was always supposed to. I still find it ridiculous.
  14. While I don't see a problem with rez auto-accepts, I am still inclined to disagree. Mainly on the point that as the OP said, he chose to go AFK because the team was in a tough spot. I personally believe it is at the very least a courtesy to let your team know you are going AFK so they don't waste actions on you that could be devoted to other things. Like clearing mobs. Especially during a tough fight. And if they did try to rez him during the fight but he went AFK because the team was in a tough spot, then the priority would have likely been to get him back in the fight to help so the rest of them don't bite it too. Auto-rez? Okay. Auto-rez because you want to ghost your team when they need you and not have to click something? ... *grumble* Auto-rez okay... but your reason sucks.
  15. The skin texture IS out there. We see it every October for 2 weeks. Can't it just be granted to players too?
  16. Except spectrum doesn't have a face. I'd like to have a white character that isn't a walking supernova and has a face. Like my ice/snow character that unfortunately just looks like a normal human suffering frostbite. Don't get me wrong. I love spectrum's radiance and strong colors. It just doesn't work for any non-energy beings. Bear in mind that is just my opinion and kudos to those of you that have made spectrum work for non-energy characters. Thanks for the input from both of you. Neither really works for me though. Sorry.
  17. That is a possibility. And I am ashamed to realize I didn't clue in to the BP being a Shamaness. Problem being, he said later in his post he was running +0 later and was still ambushed by level 40s. At +0, they should be regular BP spawning at 29. And BP come in 3 tiers. Normal at 20-29. Then a 40-54 group that uses the incarnate tier mobs. Then incarnate tier at 50-54. So it looks like you are right about them being pulled from the wrong group (40-54).
  18. Can we get a white skin that is actually white? Like the minion witches in the Halloween event? Not caucasian with flour generously sprinkled all over his/her body like we currently have?
  19. With a mission at level 29 and your difficulty set at +4, the mobs should have spawned at 33. The level shift is applied to the mission, not you, for determining mob levels. You could be a level 50 with a level 10 mission you forgot to do, and the mobs would be capped at 14 if you were +4. (I've actually had level 14 mobs from a forgotten level 10 mission I was saving attack my level 50+3 in Dark Astoria because my difficulty was set at +4.) That said, apparently TFs/SFs can break that. Don't know why. So yes, your being attacked by level 40 BP as part of a "You're forgetting to do this mission!" or a "You've accepted this mission!" triggered ambush on the zone map is... broken.
  20. The net result is that demons, planars, aliens, or what have you have grafted, gene-modded, cybernetic prosthetic, or other artificial implant/add-on for wings and tails because they are obviously not part of the character's natural body. They are simply as close to the character's body as whomever made the modification to the character could manage. (I've been using the colors with the closest similar color for wings and tails since Live. I get the similar color matching. Finally stumbled on the Suggestion board, because I avoided the forums like plague forever, and finally decided to make the ask. Not trying to disparage your response.)
  21. Sure, you can get close on the inhuman colors, but they are always 1 or 2 shades off at best. The blue on the wings and tail in the pic get away with being close but not the same because they are separated by the black shorts and the black wing limbs. The arm is still obviously not the same, though you did an admirable job with it, and I would like to point out that the wing limb itself is black in your example rather than a matching blue, otherwise it would stick out like the arm does. This is because with the exception of black, every color on the costume palette is intentionally not the same as the skin palette. Simply close.
  22. Problem being that confuse stacks. I don't know if WoC itself can be made specifically to not stack, I'm not a dev. Only they can answer that. (If Stun also stacks but Oppressive Gloom ignores that, then I would guess WoC could be configured the same way. I don't typically use Stuns, so I don't know their mechanics.) Though I do like your suggestion.
  23. They could also just make Ouroboros (and Pocket D) flag players AFK and log them off like every other zone. Then you don't have to edit the zone, just turn off the AFK suppression flag.
  24. In the 40-50 hero tip mission Miss Thystle's Plea, the mission entrance post says "You can hear the sounds of desperate battle deep with these caves. Off in the distance you can hear Miss Thystle calling your name." It should be within, not with.
  25. This was already reported. The shards only have mobs of level 35+, so when the Geodes of lower level are defeated, they spawn the level 35s. We're waiting for a fix still.
