Here's an alternate idea since just renaming and skinning didn't work for you... what if the build that was stronger is renamed and re-skinned to be Elastic's cousin, who picked up the mantle after (something) happened to the original? For what it's worth, I have Car Wash (water blast sentinel) on two servers. The original is Carter Washington, surfer dude bro who was altered after an explosion at the car wash where he worked to get the funds to support his surfing lifestyle. Car Wash (#2) on the other server is his cousin Carson who was at a lunch counter next door to the car wash and was also irradiated with the whatever. 🙂 I have also entirely re-skinned a character without re-naming them. It worked in one particular instance.

Hi Billbailey (it looks like you did indeed come Home) 🙂 Just about every time this comes up I ask for the same thing. I know. It's tedious. But I still want it. This skirt: I've posted about it in the costume suggestion thread a couple of times. I was told I can't have it due to clipping issues. It doesn't clip any worse than buttcapes. I still want it. I will always want it. Wahh.

Actually, speaking strictly for myself, I never said I co-signed, approved of or liked any of the changes the Homecoming Devs have made... nor that changing the maps was a breaking point. It isn't particularly. I like some of the QoL changes like bases being detached from prestige and free to build since I mostly solo and I have SGs for my alts. I like getting travel powers earlier... but it's not a make or break by any means. New power sets? Some are nice. Some are eh (for me). And some of the changes the HC Devs have added are very jarring to me and I actually don't like them, but I'm still extremely grateful for their dedication to getting the game up, open to us the public and available to play for free (or a voluntary monthly contribution, which I try and make when I can catch it in time). There's still enough of the CoH I remember to make it a Homecoming. But when random discussions are had about this 'n that, I sometimes (actually only rarely) may express how I feel about specific things someone may have posted. It doesn't mean anything dire. 🙂 I generally climb back under my rock (or plushy throw) afterwards and return to occasionally posting cat memes for the next while.

Since we're sharing, I'm with Scarlet Shocker on this one. I appreciate Triumphant's honesty but chile, it's called "Homecoming" for a reason. Don't bulldoze my home, pretty please kthnxbye 🙂 When you are older you may experience the pain of returning to old places you lived and finding them converted to a Walmart parking lot. Or you may not. I know in what we laughingly call real life, change is inevitable and way must be made for the folks coming up, but in this digital space I don't see why there can't be one place I can return to and recognize it for as long as it's there and I am able.

1. Don't love, they're so tedious I tend to avoid 2. Improvements - I too would love a mini version that would allow moving slots. I hate re-choosing powers and trying to remember what order I want them in. 3. At the moment I have 1 character I would like to rearrange slots on... should respec for that... dun wanna....

I dabble on the market but like the OP, it's not my job, I'm a hero (or villain or recently, rogue/vigilante). I developed a couple of habits that help fund my irresistible altaholism. None of these are new, but I didn't notice them in this thread, so maybe they will help. I always get Inner Inspiration from the START vendor the moment I'm out of the tutorial (I do the tutorials for the perks - Outbreak for large Insp, for example, and I like to get the Isolator badge). I keep 3 Isp slots open and punch Inner Inspiration every time it's up. I always sell the Large Insp on the /ah. For 50 or 100, anyway the Large ones always sell for more. I repeat I ALWAYS sell the Large Insp. and I fire Inner Inspiration as soon as it's up. I do this even on my 50s. This is a free source of cash for my lowbies and a consistent trickle for all levels. Selling Converters is also an option and as others have pointed out, it's easy enough to collect all the exploration badges in your first zone for 5 Merits, then buy Converters and sell them. For my lowbies (I always have lowbies, I'm an altaholic!) I run around street sweeping in the newbie zones for a while before starting on missions. I used to do DFB but lately I haven't been doing them. I like the low levels. I'm weird. Anyway the inf. I get from street sweeping is enough to put those first Large Insp. on the market to start the enhancement fund going. Based on advice I read on the forums at some point, I started selling most or sometimes all enhancements that drop for about the first 5 levels. I still recall when, back on Live, someone I didn't notice before they were gone dropped a level 50 inhancement on one of my super lowbies in Atlas. I remarked to my sister who got me on CoH that I didn't understand why someone would do that, I couldn't USE it... of course she said, no, idiot, sell it! And that was a nice boost to my early enhancement funds. So nowadays I do drop in on Atlas or Mercy when I'm running one of my 50s and drop a few 50 level enhancements on unsuspecting lowbies. Easy cash tip. Toons with bios most likely to get my largesse. 😉

Go into your options and select always show player name and you will see your own name and titles as they appear to others (I assume). I noticed quite a while ago that every time I asked a trainer to let me pick a title, the already chosen stuff is black. Been that way for a long time. I just reselect, it's annoying but *shrug*. I run with 'always show player name' on all my alts, I just like to see them. 🙂

So far no one has mention that you can 'buy' the old Circle of Thorns robes with 100 Prismatic Aether as a "Costume Power". Not as good as having them for costume options, but I understand the logistical issues from them not being created as such. I too wish for robes. Also gating costume pieces is against my personal faith. Ohwell.
