  1. Thanks! Yeah, I've been over the room details tab a few times (seems like every time I log in I'm tweaking something at this point) but there's not a lot of options there for filling larger spaces. While poking through it yesterday though I did get an idea for another, different base... *facepalm*
  2. You can't drop items from above the original ceiling height into the rooms below. They have to be placed within the room from below that point. The easiest way I've found to get in there once you're up top (if you're not flying) is to double-click the floor to teleport there, but then it's a pain to get back outside the base to build above it again. As for the reincarnation ring, I BELIEVE it works above or below the base because everything else seems to, but you'd have to test it to be sure.
  3. I'm setting up a base for a very small (<10 members) RP supergroup called Initiative Inc. The backstory is that another group bought an old warehouse and started to renovate it to use as an auxiliary SG base, but they broke up before it was completed so they sold the base for cheap to Initiative Inc., a street-level SG focused on patrolling and occasionally task forces. It's built on a 4x5 room with an open floor plan, with three stories wrapping around the interior walls and a skylight roof. There's one small (2 room) apartment on the top floor and a trapdoor that leads to an observation point under the water tower on the roof. I'm not sure how well I'm explaining that, but you can see pictures here if you're interested. My problem is, this is a much smaller base than any of my other ones, and yet somehow I'm running out of ideas for how to fill it! I'd like to keep the open floor plan as much as possible, since it enables the group to interact with each other from different levels and even from across the room when necessary, plus it's easy access for fliers. It's nice to be able to see who's around and what they're up to at a glance. I'd also like to keep the first floor restricted to SG necessities (with the exception of the garage) so that they're within quick reach when zoning in for a moment between missions. Everything else is open game, but I'm particularly interested in anything I could use to fill the empty spaces on the second and third floors. Any and all ideas are welcome--if they can't help me, they might inspire somebody else!
  4. Hi all, please excuse the noob questions here. I'm rolling with a necro/nature MM. It's my first MM ever and I'd like to be more of an asset than a nuisance to any team I might end up on. Right now, I'm trying to get the numpad control scheme from here to work, using the first method. I've copied the following binds into the game, as instructed, removing the extraneous quotation marks (like an earlier poster, I couldn't get anything to happen with them in except an invalid command): Whenever I try to execute any of the commands, the game returns a result of "Pet command failed, no pet matched power lich." I don't have the lich yet, but as far as I understood it, I should still be able to use the stance commands for my zombies and grave knight, right? What am I missing? Also, I'm trying to use the command set suggested by @SmalltalkJava to summon my pets 15 feet in front of me, but I can't seem to get the names for my pets right. Using "Summon Zombies" or "Summon Zombie Horde" or "Summon Grave Knight" doesn't seem to make anything happen. What are the proper names I should be using in these macros to make them work? Any and all help appreciated!
  5. @oldskool Thanks for the feedback! After looking at it some more in Mids I was wondering whether I even really needed it, but considering my playstyle on this particular character I feel like skipping it might not be a bad call.
  6. Hi y'all. I've got a Psi/SR/Body that I'm having a lot of fun with, and while messing around in Mids trying to come up with a build I like, I got to thinking: is it possible to create a perma-Elude build? And if so, would it negate the Elude crash, or would you still need something else for that, and if you can negate the crash somehow what's the going recommendation on how to do that? So far I've got a haste bonus at 200% with Hasten on perma, but I can't seem to get much further than that. It seems like the vast majority of recharge set bonuses don't come in until you're five- or six-slotted, and of course you can only cram in five LotGs. How much recharge can you cram into one Stalker build? Any advice?
  7. I have no advice to offer but came here looking for help with something similar, so hopefully someone out there who's got something to offer will respond!
  8. I don't have anything to add, but I love this idea. The costume creator is already so flexible and I'd love to see it made even more so by allowing us to utilize pieces that normally couldn't be "stacked"!
  9. This is really helpful, thanks a lot! Was there a reason why you chose Savage Strike over Maiming Slash. or why you skipped Hemorrhage, or did they just not fit/not work for you overall?
  10. Hi there, I'm looking for an endgame build for a Savage Melee/Regeneration brute. Cost is no object. Ideally I'd just like to be able to rip through enemies quickly and survive the experience; not really looking to tank, as this character is mainly played solo or as part of a duo (other character is a fire/kin controller). No travel power necessary (currently using beast run both for theme and because it makes me lol) and I'm not too picky about power/epic pools, but would like to avoid Sorcery. The only Incarnate ability I'm sure I want is the Mighty Judgment because it works for the character, but I'm open to all other suggestions. Any help or guidance would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  11. The original access code has been restored. Thanks for your patience!

  13. Just wanted to update to let folks know that I'm closing this down tonight (10/28) and reopening it with some minor modifications on Friday (11/1) so that Chaos United can run an event in it! If you were hoping to check it out this week, sorry to disappoint, but I really need the time to spruce it up a little.

  15. I'll be honest, when I saw your post for the Labyrinth, I was a little bit crestfallen at first because I thought we were doing the exact same thing and nobody would check mine out after seeing yours. But I went and made an alt on Torchbearer to go run the Labyrinth (which was pretty cool!) and realized, two cakes are better than one cake, so I figured I'd go ahead and post anyway. Two of us doing a similar thing just means great minds think alike!
  16. For over a month now, I have been working hard on a very special, top-secret base editing project, and now that it has been completed and tested I am delighted to introduce to you the Evermaze! The Evermaze is a combination maze, scavenger hunt, and escape room located on the Everlasting server. It has many areas which could be utilized for roleplaying or for thematic screenshots, and can be enjoyed alone or with friends. There are portals hidden throughout the maze which lead to other areas, and within those areas more portals are hidden. I have written clues to find the interactive objects, which can be found here attached to images of the areas in which they are located. The last clue refers to an object located within the maze itself. I left the top of the maze open so that you can choose to fly, jump, or teleport over it to access different areas if you so choose. Please be aware that this can be dangerous as you could potentially fall to your death, Management will not be held responsible for injury or death caused by crossing the boundaries of the maze. You can visit the Evermaze using the base passcode EVERMAZE-8637. Please feel free to send me an in-game e-mail at @kyothinks if you have any questions or comments. Thank you! (x-posted from the Everlasting forums with minor modifications to include server info. Apologies if this is not allowed.)

  18. Fishion (like Fission, but a fish), Weid Wichawds, and Earthworks are all up for grabs. I had concepts for them but I just never play them, so hopefully someone out there can love them the way they deserve to be loved. Especially Weid Wichawds. 😛
  19. Neat, I'll check that out. Thanks!
  20. Hi y'all. I'm running a fire/ff/fire corr up to 50 right now, and while I'm really enjoying the fire portions of the build, most of the force fields powers seem pretty...well...skippable? I'm fine with it, since it allows me to work in more pool powers (flight for travel, utilities from concealment and teleportation, sorcery for flavor, and the fire epic because...fire) but I'm wondering what powers from my primary/secondary are must-haves and which ones I can probably respec out of without missing them too much (or at all--looking at you, detention field). I'm also interested in any advice anyone might have for slotting enhancements. I don't do a lot of soloing, and I'd like to focus on damage/accuracy more than anything else. Thanks!
  21. Just a reminder, because I forgot this and I'm sure someone else did...if you want to see your global channels, make sure to add them to your chat tabs on each of your characters!
  22. Snagged Choice for a Praetorian. Thanks!
  23. Turning down the particle effects and lowering the max particle count made a huge difference. It's not perfect, but it's playable, so I'll take it. Thanks all!
  24. Hi y'all, here's hoping somebody can help me out. I'm running Homecoming on Win10, and after the most recent patch the game is nigh unplayable for me due to lag in city zones. I'm fine in small instances, but every time I zone out of an instance into a neighborhood I'm immediately dropping to <1 FPS. I was previously running full mothership raid instances on Ultra mode with no lag, so you can imagine how irritating this is. I've already tried verifying files, updating my graphics card, reducing my graphics settings to the lowest values, completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game...nothing. I haven't changed any of my hardware, and the only software change I can think of is the recent update that added the 64-bit client. I've tried using that, using regular mode, and using safe mode, and they all have the same issue. I checked to see if it was just happening on Everlasting, but it's happening across all servers. The only clue I have is that whenever I load into a city zone, the game suddenly starts pulling a ton of RAM for no apparent reason. I don't know how to stop it from doing that. Any ideas?
  25. One of my favorite aspects of CoH when it was live was being able to hang out in global channels and get to know different players. It gave me a great sense of community, more than Help or LFG could provide, and I really enjoyed being able to just have some casual conversations while running radios or hanging out in my base. Does anybody know of some good casual channels to hang out in on this server, maybe some where I can get to know other casual roleplayers? Should I make one? Thanks for any suggestions!
