  1. It didn't used to be that way, now it is. There's nothing in the patch notes about it. How is that not a bug?
  2. What? How dare you "gatekeep" other people's perfectly awesome suggestions! Oh, wait. I forgot that a GM already posted, in this forum, that we're allowed to disagree with suggestions. Weird, it's almost like everyone has forgotten that, or like the rule doesn't apply to you, or something. 😁
  3. I don't think that the OP has an issue with the person having the honorific "esquire", that's standard for attorneys in America. I think the issue that the OP is pointing out is that Warren is a man's name and the person is quite clearly female. That's why he's reporting this as a bug.
  4. I feel like this entire KB > KD issue could be solved by simply adding either Accuracy or Damage to the IO that changes KB >KD. That way it could be slotted in place of an ordinary Accuracy or Damage Enhancement and nothing would lost in terms of slotting.
  5. I set the volume of every game I play at 50%. Sometimes I tweak it a bit from there. I, and every one of my friends that I've ever played CoH with, sets the CoH volume at 2%. I've never understood why the CoH volume was set so high, and I've never encountered another video game that's like that. And I've been playing video games since we got a home Pong console in the 70s.
  6. Ya know, that's exactly what the moderators say to me right before they send me on an involuntary vacation from the forums.
  7. This is exactly what happened last page when people pushed back against the Rune of Protection nerf. The Council of Thirteen realized that people didn't like the Rune of Protection nerf, so they nerfed it even more. People here didn't like the initial nerf to Vet levels in the AE, so the Council reacted by nerfing the EM to RM conversion. A move which punishes casual players more than it does farmers. So the lesson? If you push back against a nerf hard enough the Council nerfs it even harder.
  8. Luminara, tomorrow you're going to be attacked by the self-appointed Dev Defense Team because you didn't start your post with the magic words, "I know this game is maintained by volunteers and I get to play it for free." I hope you're ready for that.
  9. I never farm. This new change is going to mean that the 4 or 5 Empyrean merits that I have in my email will now be worthless to me. Guys like me who just play the game, our ability to help alts is going to be severely hampered, but farmers will still be able to continue earning vet levels and rewards, you're not even slowing them down. Swing and a miss.
  10. I don't even have a good excuse. It's right there in the title. I realized within minutes the mistake that I made. I thought about it for awhile, tried to come up with a way to salvage it, and finally came to the realization that I was just going to have to admit my mistake. In my defense I'll say only that I'm not always an idiot.
  11. Yeah, ok. I missed that you were talking specifically about the LFG channel. My mistake. I'm going to blame the lack of coffee.
  12. *sigh* It's early, and I haven't had enough coffee yet, but here we go. So you all won't talk on Teamspeak, Skype, Discord, and now we're not supposed to talk on the in game chat channels? Holy cats, Batmanuel! Why are we even playing an online game in the first place? Riddle me this. Am I even allowed to look at you as I walk past? Or do I have to keep my eyes down as I pass by, M'Lord?
  13. So if a Rikti zone invasion, or zombie zone invasion, occurs, and I don't want to be a part of it then "just leave the zone for 20 minutes" is an answer that people have given and is generally viewed as acceptable. But when it's PvP and the answer is "just leave the zone for 20 minutes" then (to quote a certain joker) "Everyone loses their minds." Doesn't that seem just a tad bit hypocritical?
  14. I don't always PvP. But when I do, it's on my Imperial Agent Sniper.
  15. I wonder how many "Longbow" are TAD, or just former, U.S. Military personnel. You have to admit, it'd be a great way to field test a lot of high-tech equipment for the U.S. Military without officially involving the U.S.
  16. Yeah, because someone who's in the middle of a fight with a giant monster has the time to just stop and invite you to the team. Geez. Do you people ever think of anyone other than yourselves?
  17. It's not semantics. The term you're looking for is "internally consistent." That's not the same thing as a semantic argument.
  18. I don't disagree with you on that, but... Is unrealistic really the argument that you want to make about how things work in an online video game that has Super Heroes, Wizards, Time Travelers and Aliens?
  19. At EG7, Daybreak announced they are discontinuing development on the Marvel MMO. This is the second Marvel MMO they've canceled. The speculation is whether Jack quit so they canceled the MMO or if they canceled the MMO so Jack quit. Either way, I'm certain that whatever Jack does at Jackalope Games will be mediocre and controversial.
  20. So what you're saying is that I was right the first time? 😉
  21. First I want to thank you all for responding to my brilliant idea in such a constructive way. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, today has turned out to be busier than normal for a Friday. Let me see if I can address some of the questions. Remember, people don't have to stay in the zone. And, if they do, they don't actually have to PvP. They can just search for the spawn point of the Mental Control Transmitter and the Nemesis troops guarding it. Sure. Like you'd be exempted to level 10 if it was in Atlas Park, 25 in Steel Canyon, etc. Just like if you get a Safeguard mission from Agent Hassell. Because the badge text explains why it's happening in a way that's in keeping with established lore. Perhaps I should have said that it's a Lore Event, but it didn't occur to me. And I'm not sure that Lore Event's even a term. And finally: HOW DARE YOU!!!
  22. I've been doing a lot of thinking and I've finally come up with a brilliant idea that will spice the game up for everyone, and get a lot of players to come back to the game. An RP/PvP zone event! Here's how it would work. In a random zone, players would hear the warning siren, like they do when a Rikti invasion is about to start. About a minute later everyone still in the zone would get a big message "PvP has been ENABLED!" This would give players plenty of time to opt out by leaving the zone. As an incentive to participate, they'll be a certain spot in the zone -like one of those banner events- with a bunch of Nemesis soldiers guarding a device. If the device is found and destroyed before the event ends then everyone gets a badge and a Super Pack as a reward. The wording of the badge should explain that Nemesis was testing his prototype mass mind control device, which is why the heroes started fighting each other. So the event will not only be fun and rewarding, but also fit in with the lore and be great for role playing. Ok, I know that some of you really don't like PvP, so to avoid that event you'd just have to stay out of that zone for 15 or 20 minutes.
  23. But I thought EVERYONE was playing a defense soft-capped Blaster. Wasn't that the reason for all of the "Game too easy, bruh" threads that used to pop up twice a week?
