I honestly think that both Brutes and Sentinels are suffering from the same problem. The devs don't know what to do to fix them that won't completely invalidate their adjacent ATs. How do you fix a Brute without invalidating Tankers and Scrappers? How do you fix a Sentinel without invalidating Blasters and Corruptors? Frankly, I don't know. And I suspect that the devs don't either.

It's been repeatedly suggested, even in a thread started by a moderator asking for these suggestions, that Mercs and Assault Rifle get a major fix/buff. And while both have received a minor change, it was neither a fix nor a buff. So it's easy to argue that they are listening about some things, but not so much about others. And yeah, I am aware that they're a small team and can only work on so many things at once, which is probably the real reason that some things get addressed and others ignored.

Understandable. Especially considering that the Homecoming devs, based on past history, are extremely unlikely to actually implement any suggested improvements. Are you willing to tell us what you think of our suggestions, should we make them? No pressure, old bean. Like I said, I do actually understand your point of view on this.

Realistically, there's no improvement that can be made to Brutes that won't help farmers. So the devs can either just nerf them into the ground (which will just cause people to farm with another AT) or they can do something specifically to thwart farming, or they can just fix Brutes and not worry about farming. But please don't not suggest anything just because you think it will help the farmers. Anything done to improve Brutes will help farmers. .

How would you improve Brutes if you could? No sarcasm for my part, it's a serious question. (I know it's hard to tell with me sometimes)

Agreed. Although I wasn't responding to something that you'd said to Rudra, but something that another post said to him. In any case, I'd personally prefer it if things remained exactly as is, at least in regards to Energy Blast. But that's because I don't believe that knockback is a problem. I agree with the dev that adding a KB>KD toggle would actually cause more problems than it solves. And while I wouldn't have an issue with the devs adding ACC or DAM to a KB>KD IO, I also don't think it's necessary. Personally I'd rather the devs spend their time on fixing "more broken" things, like MM Mercenaries or the Assault Rifle powerset.

The aggro cap wasn't removed. What was changed is that the mobs won't just ignore you if you're over the aggro cap. If you're solo, and you've aggrod 30 guys then the ones who aren't aggrod on you will still shoot at you. You're not invisible just because you're at the aggro cap. If you're in a team they'll see you but maybe go shoot at someone else if you're already at the aggro cap. The devs said that so many people were playing/farming in the Atlas AE that it was causing Atlas Park to lag for everyone. They changed NPC attacks to match their damage type to make more sense. So an attack that's primarily energy will check against energy defense instead of S/L defense. It didn't affect that many attacks and it is a very slight nerf to S/L defense.

It didn't used to be that way, now it is. There's nothing in the patch notes about it. How is that not a bug?

I don't think that the OP has an issue with the person having the honorific "esquire", that's standard for attorneys in America. I think the issue that the OP is pointing out is that Warren is a man's name and the person is quite clearly female. That's why he's reporting this as a bug.

I feel like this entire KB > KD issue could be solved by simply adding either Accuracy or Damage to the IO that changes KB >KD. That way it could be slotted in place of an ordinary Accuracy or Damage Enhancement and nothing would lost in terms of slotting.

I set the volume of every game I play at 50%. Sometimes I tweak it a bit from there. I, and every one of my friends that I've ever played CoH with, sets the CoH volume at 2%. I've never understood why the CoH volume was set so high, and I've never encountered another video game that's like that. And I've been playing video games since we got a home Pong console in the 70s.

This is exactly what happened last page when people pushed back against the Rune of Protection nerf. The Council of Thirteen realized that people didn't like the Rune of Protection nerf, so they nerfed it even more. People here didn't like the initial nerf to Vet levels in the AE, so the Council reacted by nerfing the EM to RM conversion. A move which punishes casual players more than it does farmers. So the lesson? If you push back against a nerf hard enough the Council nerfs it even harder.

Luminara, tomorrow you're going to be attacked by the self-appointed Dev Defense Team because you didn't start your post with the magic words, "I know this game is maintained by volunteers and I get to play it for free." I hope you're ready for that.

I never farm. This new change is going to mean that the 4 or 5 Empyrean merits that I have in my email will now be worthless to me. Guys like me who just play the game, our ability to help alts is going to be severely hampered, but farmers will still be able to continue earning vet levels and rewards, you're not even slowing them down. Swing and a miss.

I don't even have a good excuse. It's right there in the title. I realized within minutes the mistake that I made. I thought about it for awhile, tried to come up with a way to salvage it, and finally came to the realization that I was just going to have to admit my mistake. In my defense I'll say only that I'm not always an idiot.

Holy cats, Batmanuel! Why are we even playing an online game in the first place? Riddle me this. Am I even allowed to look at you as I walk past? Or do I have to keep my eyes down as I pass by, M'Lord?

So if a Rikti zone invasion, or zombie zone invasion, occurs, and I don't want to be a part of it then "just leave the zone for 20 minutes" is an answer that people have given and is generally viewed as acceptable. But when it's PvP and the answer is "just leave the zone for 20 minutes" then (to quote a certain joker) "Everyone loses their minds." Doesn't that seem just a tad bit hypocritical?
