I saw the patch today and was excited for a moment that I'd be reading patch notes about improvements to Energy Melee. No such luck. 😭

I'm actually excited about the prospect of Energy Melee getting un-nerfed. In 2020 I'm actually excited about the possibility of a single animation being reverted to the original one in an old MMO from 2004 that was shut down in 2012. It sounds crazy when I read that out loud, but it's true.

Sorry about the delay. The very next day I logged in, same character, and was able to rename the ranks without issue.

As someone whose main on live and on Homecoming is an Invuln/EM Tank, I'm going to throw my 2 cents in. Please don't touch the animation for Total Focus. Yes it's long. No I don't care. The going up and then coming down to smash is so much fun! Second. Please just return Energy Transfer's old animation to it. I don't care why it was nerfed. Blame whomever/whatever you want. Heck, blame ME if you want to. At this point I probably deserve it for something anyway. The self-damage should be removed, it will still lose in single-target damage to Psi-Melee, but if you feel the need to keep it fine, whatever. Third. Please don't add in any special combos or "cute gimmicks." When I want that I play Street Justice. I play EM because I want fast, simple pomp-pomps of death interspersed with the slow up>>>down>>>bam of Total Focus. That's what the set was before the live-devs decided that EM had to die. Fourth. Please give Stun the "Cobra Strike Makeover." Add some damage to it if it doesn't break the game. Finally. Please port EM to Scrappers. It's never make sense that they don't have it. And, given all people's love of AoE, giving them a single-target monster set won't exactly be game-breaking.

The years of hoping that the devs would actually do something with bases. I especially loved the year that they hired a dev who announced that he was going to be doing some work on bases and then, a few months later, that dev quit Paragon Studios and the rest of the devs just didn't say anything hoping we wouldn't notice.

Thanks for the info all, much appreciated! Yes, we were definitely under level 25, so I'm sure that's what happened instead of it being a bug. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Do you know that's the case or are you just guessing?

About an hour ago I was on Torchbearer server in Port Oakes when I saw the sky change color and then saw the event announcement "Zombie Invasion in Port Oakes." My teammate and I waited for about 15 minutes but the zombies never showed up. A few points: 1) No, there were no other instances of Port Oakes, at least not according to the Rogue Isles Ferry (I checked). 2) Yes, we were on the ground. 3) No, we were not under anything. 4) We were out in the middle of a street well away from any arbiter drones or any other NPCs. 5) We did not have any active stealth powers. 6) Also, other people in the zone also were not seeing any zombies. 7) After waiting a long time I flew around the zone for a bit and saw the normal NPCs were still standing around, but no zombies anywhere.

I know that Vanden (I think that's his name) is back on the forums. I'm hoping he'll start reviewing AE missions again.

May I suggest that you simply remove the name restriction altogether? After all, if I have a character named Peregrine Falcon and someone else does as well, does it REALLY matter?

When I was on the Bree server last weekend I saw the Sorcery Power Pool available. I don't remember seeing any other new power pools, but I wasn't really looking. Hey Vanden, nice to see you again! :)

My main, American Dream Girl, was the leader of the guild Freedom's Defenders. I had characters, and guilds, on other servers, but ADG & Freedom was always my main.

Nothing to add except - it's good to see a lot of names in this thread that I recognize. It feels like home.
