I'm always on the look out for RP! I don't go to Pocket D often since I prefer RPing out in the field rather than in there. Less clutter and stuff. If there is a character here that catches your interest, let me know ingame (@rajjypants) or through the forum DMs. You can catch me in the RP and OOC channels as well. Will update it as I go/when I feel like it. Mister Muppy After years of entrapment within the ranks of Arachnos, this Russian immigrant finally broke out of his psionic shackles thanks to a head injury and has since then despised Arachnos. Unfortunately his mind and body had been twisted and changed forever due to experimentation and cybernetic implants, the most notable things being his enormous size and the grafted armor that keeps him alive. The same injury that freed him damaged his brain as well, making him appear dimwitted and somewhat childish at times. It took what seemed like ages for him to be accepted to move into Paragon City. Upon reaching the city he was registered as an Arachnos Experiment Escapee and is (not really) closely monitored. -Currently he is redside, mostly cause I want every damn badge on him. Not really IC on that side at the moment, but he is currently in the isles on "vacation"... Which is to say that he is happily hunting down Arachnos Agents, primarily Widows. His current alignment is Rogue though, so he can switch sides as needed. Suitable for any kind of RP. Bane Spider build. Troop Leader Tina As one of the several scout leaders for the Spiderling Scouts, it is her duty to make sure that every youngling in her troop be transformed into loyal servants of Arachnos. Her methods, while not outright cruel, are still insideous as she slowly attempts to reprogram their minds and lulls them into a false sense of security as she rewards her troop with cookies, candy, stickers, and badges. Actually, she tries to do this with -everyone-. While it may not always work perfectly, it at least separates the problematic from the easily controlled. It's odd though. She doesn't seem particularly evil. Perhaps she's simply misguided... or she's a really good actor, or quite insane. It's difficult to tell. -Pure redsider. There is no "redeeming" her, at all. Mostly lighthearted and silly. Fortunata Widow build. Little Treat Machine There are people who love ice cream, and others who LOVE ice cream. One man was absolutely obsessed with this delicious treat, and sought out ways to make it so EVERYONE could enjoy ice cream at any time. An innocent goal, right? Well unfortunately, with great obsession comes great insanity. When he completed his work, 'The Little Treat Machine', he unleashed it on the civilians of Paragon City. He was happy to see his little miracle running around, bombarding people with sharp, orange rock candy and freezing cold ice cream. It wasn't long until it was caught though, along with it's creator. Since then, it has been reprogrammed and now works with heroes... but it still retained it's rather joyful and violent approach to dealing with villains. Thankfully it's non lethal programming has prevented any deaths, but should any villain hear the happy chimes and jingles of an ice cream van, they would be wise to turn in the opposite direction and run. Fast. EDIT: Slight retcon on his powers. Popsicles are now ROCK CANDY! Made more sense with the appearance of Thorns. -Bluesider! Happy as can be little robot. Lighthearted and silly. Ice/Thorns Dom build. Vill Daceb In life, Vill lived in Port Oaks as a simple fisherman who owned a small but thriving shop of fishing supplies. Though he at times had many run ins with would be robbers and other street scum, he always seemed to over come them with surprising strength. Very few ever dared to steal from his shop... Until several of those he clobbered banded together. The vengeful street gangsters incapacitated the fisherman, stole all money from his shop, then set it on fire to ensure that he would not trouble them again. Unfortunately for them, the isles happen to be a hotbed of magic and other oddities. He rose from the dead weeks later with renewed strength and ferocity, easily tracking them down and extracting his revenge. He now spends his time doing what he can (or must) to ensure that he does not return to the cold darkness of death. -Redsider at the moment. Don't know where to put him really. May just settle with Rogue, but who knows... He could go blue if he can get his magic munching addiction under control. Flexible RP. No real info on HOW he was raised. StJ/DA Brute build. Payce He's fast! He's powerful! He's not environmentally friendly! He likes to yell! He's Payce, Praetoria's most annoying speedster bot! Made by a particularly brilliant minded Resistance member, Payce was created to take his creator's place after he lost both of his legs. Made entirely out of old race car parts and Clockwork pieces, Payce sometimes manages to outclass several other robots with newer gear. The way he deals with threats is different, but effective. Rather than generate some high-heat energy he instead uses exhaust fumes, like that from a car. With just the right amount of force, he propels said fumes strong enough for it to bend most types of metals. While it is painful to organics, he is programmed to not kill. He will, however, destroy non organics if need be. Due to his programming, he has traded blows with many fellow Resistance members within the Crusader facton. He may be programmed to be a bit of a jerk and a huge annoyance, but he's not one to let others kill people. -Blue blue blue. He can be abrasive to some. Mostly silly, but he can slip into serious stuff. KM/SR Scrapper build.

I enjoy concepts, but I like ones that are functional as well... which is why I'll probably frequent the boards for build help. Anyway, I think we got something going here. I put in Spring Attack for the free slot, but I could always change it to something else. I'll miss Sweeping Cross, but I'll deal. I don't think I really need taunt, even if I do team. I'll probably only throw a recharge on Spring Attack, but if you think something else is better for the free slot, let me know. Also, thank you SO MUCH for this input. You have been amazingly helpful and I've learned a lot from this exchange. Maybe I'll be able to get builds right in fewer steps thanks to you. It forced me to look through the IO sets more carefully.

So, been playing around with the stuff and I can't seem to get to that sweet spot... Acrobatics provides mag 9 protection against knockback, and with the KB protection from Fury of the Gladiator gives me 12, so good on KB. Resists are REALLY HIGH compared to my defense values. Wasn't able to fit Cloak of Fear/Oppressive Gloom in there. I looked at what would happen if I swapped some slots here and there, but nothing really changed. Getting Melee, smashing, and lethal up is proving to be a difficult venture. My biggest question though is if I really need that many slots in Health. I tried sacrificing slots in there to see if I could get anything good out of that, but the numbers are only INCHES away from from 45%. I sacrificed Energy Mastery to do this, but I don't know if it's really worth it... but I was able to fit in Initial Strike and Sweeping Cross. This is a real workout. 😞 EDIT: Managed other things. Still not where I wanna be, but here it is. Again, not sure if it's even worth dropping Energy Mastery but this was all for the sake of experimentation: Hero Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.6.0.7 https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! @Werner posted a build recently for this, and it seems to work quite well for him. Take a look at it! Maybe he'll poke his head in here as well and give you any additional pointers. Good luck!
-
I'll try to make it! Depends on how loud the house gets and if I'm in the mood for it. Chances are things will go my way though. 🙂

Looks pretty nice. It'll be weird to have some of Vill's powers missing, but I think the recharge will cover it. I definitely prefer Leaping, so maybe I'll pick up Acrobatics. I don't like the idea of having more toggles, but I'll take it over having Vill stay on his back. I don't recall what mag protection it has, but it's probably pretty decent. May need to slot in only one KB protection with it at the very least. I'll play with this and (hopefully) figure something out. I'm not the best when it comes to building, but I like to think I'm getting better at it. Thank you so much for the post and pointers, Werner! As always, if anyone else has any additional thoughts, please post.

Fortunata Widow Power Colors/Customization

You know, I wouldn't mind Tina shooting gold or white brain bullets... -
Okay, I cobbled up a build and... MMMM... MMMMMM... Not good looking. There are some power slots that are open, which then gives me freedom to... well, pick more stuff that I probably DO NOT need. That and I tried to go for something close to 40% def smash/lethal, etc.... But I'm at a loss of what to do now. This many toggles is just A LOT of lost endurance. I was tempted to grab Soul Transfer cause, well, concept wise it would make sense. If you think I can squeeze that in get good benefits from getting it slotted, then I'll be happy. Went with Leviathan cause, again, concept, but Soul would fit as well. Though if needed, I'd be cool with Energy Mastery, if only for the Autos. I know this is ridiculous but I'm an RP lame-o that likes things to fit the character, but I ALSO want him to be fun to play, and so far he has been. I got him up to 21 ridiculously fast. Before I start working on a build and post it, I have a dumb question... Is it worth it to take either of the status auras? (Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom) I'm thinking I DON'T need either, but I wanted to get some feedback from you guys first before I get to that point where I have to pick a power. I'm assuming that other things such as leadership might be best... Again though, I'd like to hear what you guys say, then I'll post a build. If there are other skippable powers or any other suggestions, let me know. Soul Transfer looks tempting... but I know I'd need enemies around me for it to work (if memory serves me well, anyway) and generally self rez powers tend to be skipped by most. Anyway, so far I have the first three skills in StJ, the three main armor toggles, and combat jumping at lvl 10. I didn't get Death Shroud since the low levels get hit pretty hard by end consumption, but if you guys think it'd be best to get it sooner rather than later, let me know. I'll probably put the build up in a separate post in this thread.

Don't think putting that set on Crowd Control is needed, as it's "knockback" is actually knockdown already (Unless I'm up against severely underleveled mobs), and it's animation is far, far faster than Shatter's. I think it'd work better if put into Shatter instead since force feedback would benefit more with something with a fast animation. I'll think this over, but I think I'll ultimately do this in the end since I'd love that additional KB protection. Voltaic Tanks also manage to flip Muppy on to the floor if they manage to hit him as well so... Yeah. Thank you! As always, if there are any more suggestions, post them! Edit: Whoa I looked this over again and I'm a slow dummy. I'll give this a look though. A lot of my stats on Muppy are pretty ridiculous so I can stand to sacrifice some things.

So! I'll post the build first, then get into what is nagging me... A friend helped with this one a looooong time ago on live. I think @Machariel helped me with this one but my memory is hazy. |5F6E9FF9CB4B406DB5CC70FCD93D1C5FF10CC78F8EE907F1E1F80F1BB3F267| |-------------------------------------------------------------------| This build has helped me through thick and thin on live, and I prefer to stay mostly melee only without pets. I could solo high levels, difficulty, etc.. But the biggest problem here is KNOCKBACK PROTECTION. I use Steadfast and it does help in most cases, but put down a Singularity in front of Muppy and he goes flyyyying. I find it kind of weird that Bane Spiders do not come with some form of KB protection in their autos or... anywhere really. I guess my only option is to use Acrobatics, but then that would require a change in power selection. I'm guessing Placate, but that power has helped me with single target damage output in many situations. However, I do not PVP at all so maybe no changes will be just fine. As always I'm up for some tips or changes though. It's an old build and I have no idea how it will treat me yet since I haven't gotten Muppy back to 50, nor do I have most of these sets yet.

I like Redside, but I do agree it needs a lot of touching up. The low level stuff I can brush off... But once you get to 25+, it should be at that point where you start doing your own thing. The cloning facility is one that comes to mind, and the Praetorian team you build up and work with. I can see it being pretty difficult, as many redside stuff is mainly just doing stuff for your contact, but with enough brain power (of which I tend to lack) we can make some of these storylines much more fun. I'd be more than willing to even go back and replay this stuff to try and pick out what is wrong. My memory isn't the greatest at recalling some of the lower level stuff... If I roll another baddie, I'll take notes.

Mids' Reborn Unofficial (MRBU)
Muppy replied to Felis Noctu's topic in Mids' Reborn Hero Designer's Forum
I might have missed it somewhere in this thread, but could there be an option to enable a type of "free slotting" like the game allows when respeccing? (Slots can go anywhere regardless of level, etc) I'm a big dumb and having to swap low level stuff around to get the slotting right is really annoying. Maybe there is a setting and I'm completely blind... If so, could someone direct me to where this setting is?- 293 replies

I fell in love with this game almost instantly when I made my first character around the end of i2 (I plugged in one of my own characters cause he translated SO WELL into the game... and then dark/dark controller sets came out way later and THAT fit like a real glove). I played the game on and off and still get into those cycles, but every time I come back it feels like a warm hug. The combat feels good, teaming felt more lax (Want an all blaster team? Go for it!), and the people were generally nicer. The character creator is great, power selection got better every time the devs came up with something, each issue got more and more grand, the release of CoV and Going Rogue were both great... It really baffled me when NCSoft shut the game down. This game is like a therapy session for me every time I get into it. Having a bad day? Play CoH/V. Stressed out? Play this great hero and villain game! Just want to escape for a few hours? Right here, baby. It still makes me happy that we all can continue to have fun even after the shutdown. The fact that it's still here should be enough to tell NCSoft how damn strong the community is, and just how GREAT the game is in general. This game is one of the best MMOs I've ever played... It was the first to even get me into the genre. I look forward to seeing how this game will continue to grow over time.

Oh dear, I'm a big dumb. Sorry Caulderone. I already got some help from Mach and the build is set. I'll share it so people can see what's up. Thanks to everyone for your help... Yup! Tina made an announcement at the latest Monkey Fight Club! There will be an Arachnos/Spiderling Scout recruitment event! Cookies will be eaten, recruitment will (hopefully) be had! We don't have a date set just yet, but planning is underway and EVERYONE is invited. Red, blue, somewhere in the middle... it's up to you! Bring who you want! A post will go up in the near future with details, so keep your eyes open!

Thank you for the tip. I still am having trouble despite what you told me though. It only goes up to 46, and I did dump slots into DO right at the start (derp). I'm starting to wonder if I should redo this and slot a bit more carefully. Minor inconvenience, but I don't mind it. I'm going to see if I can wrap my head around this and try to get Mids to work with me and save some time first, though, but the only slot levels I'm getting is 43-46... I know my tiny brain brain is missing something in your description, or I'm just not getting it at all. I tried removing some from DO and ST, but uh, that didn't work out either, and I'm pretty sure DO could do with a better damage set... Mids is one crazy, mysterious program... I've never gotten used to it, but I'm trying. Again, thanks for the tip! I'm sorry for my incompetence, but I'll keep trying to fix this. If I can't then I can just rebuild from the get go and slot more carefully. EDIT: Oof... So the only way I could get DB fully slotted was to switch which level I got it at. Gloom only has Two slots, though. This is kinda frustrating... My brain is melting.

My god what am I doing? I still have slots left but I can't put them where I want them to. I know I messed up somewhere with the IOs too. I'm trying so hard. Sorry for the double post. Thanks for the tips! Been awhile since I've seen ya too. I noticed that if I wanted a travel power, I'd have to give up foresight (I can probably do without it anyway, yeah?). Anyway, gonna see if I can get something churned out now... Thanks again. 🙂 EDIT: Oooor I can just take out Weave and pick up Foresight there, as you said. It'll save up on end drain. EDIT 2: Having issues with getting slots into Dark Obliteration... Only allowing up to four. I've got the dumb and don't know how to proceed. Trying to use my small brain to get through this...
-
I have no one on my list at the moment, but if I ignore someone it's probably because they were being overwhelmingly unpleasant. Maybe for a day or two, then take them off the list. I really hate keeping people on ignore... But there have been instances on Live where I SHOULD have put several people on ignore.

Powers that would need to change if Hasten gets nerfed
Muppy replied to Zepp's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
If there is gonna be a hasten nerf, this will hurt Mind Link. It doesn't take recharge enhancements, so keeping it perma is, well, desirable. I'll miss it, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. -
So I've been playing a lot of Troop Leader Tina, and I found her old build. I don't recall who helped me with it (I'm bad at building... I don't know the basics such as permahaste, AT caps, etc) I felt like showing it off and getting some pointers, if possible. And yes, she has no travel power. It's kind of a concept build, but it functioned pretty well in the past despite some end problems. Still, I will take any suggestions! Hopefully this will post. I've been having issues posting this for some reason with some EX0 error... Been playing Doom (2016... I have to beat this first before I get into Eternal!) and Animal Crossing. I was playing Pokemon Shield but kinda stopped. Not because I dislike it. I love it, but I have been consumed by these other games.
