I'm sorry, but my arch-nemesis Verizon is attacking! I'll have to go somewhere with a wired connection. So I'm going to have to wait to install Lazarus. But when I can, from what I see, this is a Libre reimplementation of Pascal? Cool! So for everyone on Fedora 3x, the command is: sudo dnf install lazarus But once I do that, how do I launch your program? (All I see is an exe, which will launch in WINE. I'd don't want to create yet another winebottle, I'm starting to fill up my SSD with Windows crap!) With the Lazarus interpreter installed, I should be able to run it natively, no? I didn't get source from the link, just the Win binary zipfile. But many, many thanks for all your hard work!

Replying to myself (that's a sign of something, I think). The next update of WINE fixed whatever was broken, and I'm happily playing away without leaving my penguin comfort zone.

Can anyone offer insight as to why Mid's Reborn would run V E R Y S L O W L Y under WINE on lInux? The same hardware actually runs the game slightly /faster/ under WINE. I'm not suggesting it's a priority for you, it's just so slow I can't really make use of it. MR is sufficiently useful to resort to booting into WIndows, abhorrent as that is to me, but if there's a fix on my end, I'll be glad to implement it. Does it maybe have a soft dependency that makes it resort to an emulation mode (the way some gfx programs fall back to CPU rendering when the GPU is not recognized)? Thanks again for all your hard work!

Many folks are math-phobic, and the sight of the sigma sends them running. Also, humans are story-loving critters, so adding a narrative to your guide might be able to overcome knee-jerk innumeracy. In any event, thanks for all your work!

Yes, I tried all that, even reinstalled and tried a different account. In my case, it was definitely a patch that broke directinput.

I had this issue under WINE on linux. A WINE update broke things, then a later one fixed them. Maybe check for a newer update?

Just a note: On my Mac, the game was crashing to desktop (after downloading 1st patch, it still worked, though). Seems the rollback killed it. The fix was to rescan all files: it grabbed a new CoH.exe, and all was well.

Don't listen to him, Bopper! The math may be hairy, but basic science is its own reward! Call, with the formulae here you could fix Mid's Reborn if it has the wrong numbers for something. That's worthwhile. I won't be calculating these by hand, either, but having the data here can benefit more than just players. The devs may refer to this when creating new powersets. Brilliant guide! Just a small note, if you've forgotten your base passcode (or aren't sure which one is for THIS server), if you nonetheless remember the WORD part, you can type: /sgpasscode word and the game will return your current passcode. Thanks for all the great guides!

Mine resolved after several tries, Szgany, how did yours do? Perhaps the servers were a bit bogged by everyone getting the patches?

Is anyone else running on a Mac and having the game hang at "Parsing File List?" It launched OK once today, but now mine hangs.

Also with a teleporting toon, thanks muchly! May I humbly suggest something along these lines: /macro_image "Teleportation_TeleportFriend" "Teleport Menu" "popmenu tp-menu" (Can't check right now, but should work, and give a little polish to your fine menu!) Would it be difficult to add the Translocation power (comes free with Mystic Flight from the Sorcery Pool)? That way I could visit the Gull and lose the 'toaster popup' power tray. BTW, as a Teleport lover, I find Mystic Flight to be the best personal teleport power. I need to see if Zephyr enhancements added to MF carry over to boost Translocation range.

My favorite is Turkey Pepperoni (so, no turkey in it as opposed to no ham, as is not found in regular pepperoni), Vidalia onions, sliced black olives, and pineapple on half, for variety. Toppings in roughly descending order. And THIN, yeasty crust, dammit: Chicago-style is a form of lasagna!

As the other guy who took Group Fly, I feel your pain and like your ideas. The only way it ever worked for me was to cast it and then Follow a teammate. Let them lead. That way, I couldn't outrun them, and nobody fell out of the sky. (Even if I had Rez...) Fixing the speed so everyone moves at the same rate would go a long way to helping GF. Also, remove the -Acc debuff. That causes a lot of whining that I could live without. (Even if I had Leadership to counteract it...)
