Looks great, Doug!

There are a few changes I'd like to see, personally. Mass Confusion is obviously one, given the decline to XP you get when using it. Thematically I understand the reasoning but the practicum missed the mark in my opinion. The NPC pet control was a nifty idea I saw suggested, though I'm not unsure of the technical aspects in making that work. Another concept might be a pet similar to Phantasm/Decoys - a sort of Astral Form of yourself? Just ideas! I would also like to see some pet adjustments (specifically Jack Frost, but a few of the other pets could do with a onceover as well).

You guys are incredible! If anyone's ever looking for more ways to get involved, check out Jimmy's post here! There are various things we're looking for; including volunteers to join the GM team! 😄

Hi there! You're actually not the only one! Becoming a Game Master is, at its core, all about helping the CoX community. We are tasked with a few different roles such as enforcing any of the policies set in place by the Homecoming Team (essentially holding players accountable to the Code of Conduct), assisting players with in-game issues (such as whenever a petition or ticket is submitted for a stuck mission or mob, harassment claims, CoC Violations, etc.) and monitoring the Discord/Forums for players who are in need of help! We are also in charge of running the various Contests and Events for the Homecoming Team (i.e. Monthly Costume Contests, Base Contest, AE Dev's Choice, PvP Contest, Monster Mashes, etc.)! I won't lie to you - being a Game Master can be work. We're entirely comprised of volunteers who donate their time and expertise in helping the CoX community. However, we're all here because we have a special connection to the game and the community that plays it, and that's really all we're looking for in additional volunteers. If you're the type of person that loves answering questions in "Help Channel" or chatting with players in Discord and wants to support the community; its probably a great role for you!

Hey guys! I hope some of you are submitting these bases for our First Ever Base Contest! If you haven't already, you can submit them here for consideration! There are so many creative bases, good luck to all!

So many nifty bases submitted so far! I'm so impressed with everyone's creativity! 😄

I think that having XP Boosts/etc is nice for certain characters. However, there is certainly enough story arcs and content in the game to keep you entertained while leveling (if you enjoy that). A few of the GMs made (what we refer to as) "Classic Characters". Where we all started off running through the sewers together and leveling them up following a certain set of rules. - No AE/Farms/DFB. Can only level up via Contacts/Sewers/TFs/Radios/Zone Encounters/ETC - No Influence Trading. So you can't send influence from another character. You have to purchase/craft your SOs/DOs/IOs with the influence you made from that character. - No P2W Vendor. So we don't use the veteran powers/buffs/etc. - No Merits. So you can't use merits to purchase enhancements/etc. - No Travel Powers prior to Lvl 14 - (We highly enjoyed running around The Hollows from the Hospital again :D) It has certainly made leveling a lot slower, however, it was extremely fun and rewarding! I think everyone enjoys playing the game in different ways and it's nice that in a game like this you have so many options. I sometimes enjoy the XP Boost, but I also really enjoy playing those characters as well. I'd highly recommend getting a group of friends together and trying it!

Arcanum replied to DjagoKhit's topic in Reunion (EU)
Bonjour! Vigilance est la discorde francophone la plus active. Bien qu'il s'agisse d'un SG Discord, tout le monde est le bienvenu! Je parlerais à @Strangebird pour plus d'informations. -
Hi everyone! First of all, as always, I thoroughly enjoy all of the content you guys are creating! We really enjoy playing through all of them and seeing all the creative stories you guys come up with. Having said that, we've selected some more story arcs for Dev's Choice that we really enjoyed! The author(s) will receive 1,000 Reward Merits and a Golden Title. I will be in contact with you shortly regarding your rewards! Please keep in mind if you have previously submitted an arc it is still a potential Dev's contender, we have not yet been able to review them all and are working on an active list. We will continue to update you on selected arcs, so check back often! Any previously awarded "Dev's Choice" arcs, will be moved to "Hall of Fame". After testing the current selection, be sure to filter for these to checkout some other great arcs! Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part One Arc ID: 26756 Created by: @Darmian Number of Missions: 5 Level Range: 25-50 Description: "Galaxy City lies in ruins. Parts still burn. So many casualties in the attack. So many refugees. And there in the heart of the fire, taking advantage of the situation rather than helping, Arachnos. And now, moving through the rubble they return, seeking something." Dev Review: "This was an incredibly fun arc involving Time Travel, good looking villains, and a fun group of heroes! Join Madame Maven and her Supergroup, The Meteors as they attempt to thwart Arachnos's devious plans. The arc makes you feel like you're jumping into the adventures of a Saturday Morning Cartoon - and that cliff hanger! Be sure to check out this first part in a large series of work by the author, you won't be disappointed!" 7511bf277a70d0560cb715e55cbccca3.mp4 Robolution Arc ID: 25870 Created by: @Ankylosaur Number of Missions: 5 Level Range: 25 - 34 Description: "Orb Waver Zane has left you a message. He wants to speak with you about a mission to recover stolen Arachnos technology. It's never a good idea to ignore an Orb Weaver, is it? (This takes place after the events of the Ernesto Hess Task Force.) [SFMA] Designed to be soloed with provided allies. Dev Review: "A compelling story of militarized arms dealers, this is a tale of competing organizations and the lengths each will go to succeed in their nefarious goals. Get ready for plot twists as you unravel the mystery of the stolen tech." a02e19685cab44227f574d053d84b317_1.mp4 Check out these arcs and let us know what you think! Special thank you to all the GMs and Admins that help us test out each of these arcs! Your time is incredibly appreciated. Wow! Excellent costumes, everyone! ...lots of inspiration here for anyone feeling 'stuck' with a Character Design Concept! ^_^

Hi there! I tested this on a Mastermind Pet - here's the Combat Attributes for it. Of course, this could slightly fluctuate with different variables. However, seems like a good base!
-
Hey guys, Keep up the recommendations! We're constantly playing and enjoying SO many of them! The creativity really knows no bounds. I'm quite impressed!
-
Welcome, everyone! I hope you all enjoy the game! As previously mentioned, please review guides/Code of Conduct/etc on the forums and feel free to reach out with any questions you may have! You'll find this community is incredibly helpful!

Hi everyone! I'm overwhelmed by the continuous creativity and general quality of all the story arcs @GM Sparky and I have received! We really enjoy playing through all of them and seeing all the creative content you guys come up with. Having said that, we've selected another story arc for Dev's Choice that we really enjoyed! Tales of Cimerora: Of feathers and fur (Volume 1) Arc ID: 1261 Created by: @Nebulhym Number of Missions: 5 Level Range: 40 - 54 Description: "Volume 1: Take part in Cimerora's fantastic history by writing some of its most incredible chapters! In volume 1, help Daedalus, Cimerora's crafter, start his quest to free his land from its enemies once and for all!" Dev Review: "Anyone who loves mythology or is craving a little extra "Cimeroran" content, look no further! This story arc involves teaming up with Daedalus, and getting to feel like a demigod of Roman Mythology, sent on a task by the gods to help defend Cimerora. If you enjoy mythology, you'll see a lot of familiar names and characters pop up in this arc! Be sure to bring some fellow heroes, because on lvl 54, these enemies are certainly a challenge!" a15eb04bd325f088d59951856a696321.mp4 Tales of Cimerora: From Tartarus with love... (Volume 2) Arc ID: 1262 Created by: Nebulhym Number of Missions: 5 Level Range: 41 - 54 Description: "Volume 2: The Tales of Cimerora contune here! Could the resurfacing of an old love story spell Cimerora's end? (Volume 1 not reuired. All volumes can be enjoyed separately)." Dev Review: "We honestly enjoyed Volume 1 so much, we couldn't wait to delve back into the world of mythology and play Volume 2, and let me tell you - it did NOT disappoint. This time we're tasked by Imperious himself, to dive back into the stories of old and help defend Cimerora. We particularly enjoyed the custom characters and the map choices (Temple of Neptune). If you enjoyed the first volume, be sure to test out this one as well!" 41551dbccb1de67508c437d898a0f2e8.mp4 Check out these arcs and let us know what you think! I love this game but nobody teams anymore..
Arcanum replied to qas_illustration's topic in General Discussion
Welcome back to Paragon City! Re-iterating some previous comments; whenever I'm playing on my personal account, finding teams is usually pretty easy! There's usually always some Task Force or Radio Team running somewhere. Be sure to join the channels previously mentioned as well as flag yourself in the "Search" menu as "Looking for any". Additionally, time of day can often make a difference. I know on Excelsior we have a strong "East Coast" population, so there's a more active trend during 4/5PM+ EST on that shard. You can also check the Super Group Recruitment posts on the forums or our Discord. Finding an active Super Group will make teaming a lot easier, and there are quite a few of them on Excel! ^_^ -
Not to worry! An admin message is one that posts across all the maps on a shard, so if you were on Brainstorm, the message was sent at 1 Hour / 45 Minutes / 30 Minutes / 15 Minutes and 5 Minutes prior to the event start time! In addition we had a GM stationed in Atlas Park and at the door to The Abyss in P.I. and Grandville to make sure nobody was missed! We even had a GM in The Abyss 2 to grab players that ended up in the overflow! We always want to make sure everyone is able to get in, be sure to checkout the FAQs and read all the info posted about an event to make sure you can join in the fun next time! ^_^

The repeating admin message stated to speak with Monorail Jimmy in Atlas Park if you needed to be teleported! ^_^

Great question! Its a simple stress test of the server queue. I've linked an explanation of the more - err - technical aspects (courtesy of Telephone) from the June Donations & Finances post!
