  1. Rad Blast is indeed -def on the blasts and Neutrino Bolt can be turned into a proc onslaught. The AV killing power comes from the regen debuff in Radiation Emission's Lingering Radiation (coupled with EF's -resist). Now tack on Radiation Infection for -def and -to hit (both enhanceable) plus Enervating Field -dam and -resist (doubling all this up if its a defender pair) . Sonic Blast would be my first choice on secondary for killing AVs and GMs with the caveat I don't know much about how Beam and Water would help out. The -resist in Sonic would help up the damage further.
  2. *looks at tier 3 rating for empathy* *shrug* I think sometimes these tier ratings are a little like arguing about how high the rubble will bounce when whatever AT is being discussed. Useful perhaps for highlighting differences between sets but less useful when discussing how capable the set is over all within the game itself.
  3. Are you open to purple sets? I ask as the set bonuses are always available when you exemplar, which isn't the case for IO sets in general. Most IO's must be in an power that's available at your current level (generally, certain IO's are exceptions). Obviously purple sets are a serious expense, but if you exemplar a lot they are an even better deal for this reason. My main on live was claws, but I have zero experience with /rad just fyi.
  4. Working on a build with these power sets for when I can finally get in game. I'll see what I come up with and compare
  5. What level overall do you expect to exemplar to most frequently? I'll have a look at the build when I get home. Mids' doesn't want to open on my phone.
  6. Wow I know it's been a long time when it took me a minute to remember that animation. Yes please!
  7. I think it's hard to go wrong pairing DM with pretty much any secondary. One I haven't seen mentioned yet is Willpower. A friend had a DM paired with WP for a group we put together where everyone had a set involving Dark. He was the sharp end of the knife for a team. I've also seen a SG mate tank for an all SG Statesman TF run including handling all of the final 4 and Recluse on a DM/Inv. (Hey bASS aCKWARDS! if you're out there!) . Still have his build it's just held prisoner to a burned out power supply on the other desktop.
  8. Or come at it from the resistance side. If the target(s) have their resistance debuffed the pets (AFAIK) should deal more damage (just like anyone doing damage would).
  9. Whoa and an OMG the memories reading through this thread. @Doomguide2005 aka Silhouette, Cometfall, GREATA-001, and 29 more on Pinnacle.
  10. Well I would almost certainly have it while leveling or if I did a lot of exemplar work. If I'd still have it for the endgame it would depend on what sets and their bonuses I was aiming for. The problem is SR's defenses are positional which lethal is not. I'd rather not have to depend on a power to get me capped to a single position which requires active use. That is problematic.
  11. Got the current Mids' and put your last build in. 2 issues both related to the questions in my last post. First is your net end recovery. I would definitely recommend working to improve your end recovery. I'd be looking for 2.5+ net. Under 2 is likely to leave you fighting your end bar as much as your foes. I'd also recommend working on your regeneration rate. Particularly if you want to take on large higher level mobs. Some of both issues would be helped by getting the TF accolades adding to both your max end and max health. But ultimately you'll need set bonuses for end recovery and max health. Seems like the obvious thing to do but I would not look to set bonuses for defense. As an SR you can get to the soft cap without set bonuses. Use the the set bonuses for gaining +regen, +max health and +recovery if hard to defeat is the goal. That's how my main got to over 2100 health, regen over 30 and net recovery of around 2.7.
  12. Still need to get Mids' updated and not be posting from a phone but couple questions. What's your regen rate and your net end recovery? First thing that strikes me is your passives aren't well slotted. They are where 2 important defensive/survivability things come. Your defense debuff resistance and scaling damage resistance. Don't neglect them.. Back later when I got some downloads done and can get on the desk top
  13. Hey Alty, Ankhammon and RO Not sure my face can handle this grin I just broke into finding all this and RO Doomguide PS: And Riverdusk pretty much has it right. 8 Defenders of any stripe are going to liquidate anything in their path, hard to go wrong.
