One of the DEVs before the Sunset was dead set against any underwater stuff or water powers. My understanding is they thought underwater and water power FX couldn't be done properly to make them look realistic enough. There are some stealth underwater places. On come of the Crimerora maps there are some pools that go under bridges and you can go underwater there. It doesn't go anywhere special, but you can swim underwater. It is nowhere near like Atlantis on DCUO. Thought I think an undersea/lake/water area/sections is a cool idea, I don't think it would be used enough compared to other stuff that the DEVs are focusing on. Honestly. with the whole Time Travel thing with the Oroborus, I think zones from other time periods/alternate time streams might draw more use.

Oh, do lore pets use the Mastermind pet menu? No idea here. I avoid the endgame like the plague.

Would I be better off transferring to a US server?
UltraAlt replied to Mnemonic's topic in Reunion (EU)
I rarely - very rarely - play content above level 50. I run on and lead PUG teams, task forces, etc. I have characters on all the servers. If I can't find a team on one then I switch to another one. I will say that I do some marketing waiting to see if someone is LFM. You can do fine with SO's below level 50. Your characters will, however, function better if you get some IO procs or sets going. You can always discuss it with your team while PUGing. I game on Reunion when I can during daylight Europe time. I don't experience much lag, but I have a fairly good internet connection. Unfortunately, I can't game on Reunion on during the evening hours or before midnight Europe time ... and I can't play on weekends at all. If you are going to transfer, I would suggest going to Everlasting or Torchbearer rather than Excelsior. As Excelsior is the most populated, you may have increased lag issue dependent upon your internet speed and computer processing speed. If you think you might lose your name changing servers, I would suggest simply making a new character on the server that you want to checkout versus bothering with transferring them. -

The pets do say something when they are given a command. It's displayed in word bubbles and in the Pets channel. maybe that will help in the meantime.

Perhaps I should host this once a week. 250 million for a players fishing permit - one time fee. Players pay me another 1 Billion for logging the the length, weight, and type of each fish they caught and then then post it on the forums for all to see their "big fish tale". Nah, no one would fall for that. Might as well be asking for a motorcycle that you can hold on your shoulder that fires like a cannon while a team mate is sitting on it.

A Motorcycle canon that a teammate can sit on!

I thought there were only 666 and that the other 333 were justifiable reasons to spend influence.

I agree wholeheartedly. You go, Stan Lee!

I thought that they already did that once you had achieved things in the zone? Maybe I'm confused again or is that blonde moment? I don't know.

You will see everyone with your graphics settings so they are on an equal playing field as far as that goes. It would be based on your judgement, so you would bring your own bias too it as well. Everyone does that hosts a contest. You aren't being judgemental of anyone. You are just picking what you think to be great costumes regardless of what makes you think a costume is cool. I've been in costume contests and won. I've been in more where I lost. Sometimes the person running the contest give some influence to everyone that participates. Some do top 3 or 5. Some do the top 7 and invite winners to their team and transfer loot that way to make it easy. People like to participate in costume contests even when they lose ... well, at least I do. Some people are color blind. I game with someone in another game that is color blind. As you see by my post, I'm against it. You opened yourself up for it. You appeared to be a player that was fixated on the end-game and didn't want to have to grind to be L337. Just between you and me, I hate end-game stuff in all games. End-game stuff is stuff that is tact onto the end of a game to retain players that have completed the game. The stuff before the end-game is the actual game.

I didn't take a break from CoH back then. I terminated my sub and quit playing in protest. Scrubbed ally my bios. Changed all my character costumes into a Praetorian Clockwork. Took my characters to under that Atlas Statue and self destructed. Logged out of that character and never logged back into it. With all of my 150+ characters. I loved City of Heroes, but I was becoming increasingly angry at the direction of the that the game was going in. It was an ever increasing downhill slide from the release of AE on when the DEVs didn't stick to their 40-ton Ban-Hammer over abuse of the AE. Homecoming is what the game should have been come to subscribers instead of the money grab on top of a subscription that it was. And I still do hate the Incarnate system and farmers so much, but I can avoid both. It was hard to avoid the P2W and the goldfarmers before the sunset. Atlas Park is no longer completely overrun with AE babies that couldn't find their way out of Altas Park once they hit level 50 in the AE. I love Homecoming. I'm so glad that the brought City of Heroes back for us. /e bow

Hide somewhere in a zone, broadcast for people to find you, offer a prize, and make people find you. If you wanted to be generous, give out clues to your location until someone finds you. It becomes a scavenger hunt when you give away IO set enhances when someone finds you. You could always stand on an exploration badge marker as well.

Hosts costume contests. Host bio contests. Hosts task forces that you aren't burned out on and give everyone that joins and stays until the end 10 mil. Give away some to random sub-level 10's. Get all the Vanity Pets. Buy lots of temp powers from the P2W vendor. Buy card packs and sell everything you can on the market. The agony! (throws up arm in front of my head to show how forlorn I am with despair because of end-gamer woes). Must be horrible to have 6 incarnate slots to fill, and it's too grindy to do end-gamer stuff. You know why all that grindy time consuming stuff is there? It's to give you something to do since you if you don't want to alt out and explore the rest of the game. I hate the Incarnate system, but it's for those that want a L337 feeling and you have to grind for that. Leave the L337 grind for the L337 and don't dummy-down the L337 down with P2L337. --- Enjoy the game. Enjoy it your way. But, f you really need to be maxed out to enjoy City of Heroes, I really truly feel bad for you deep-down in the core of my non-conformist heart. Variety is the spice of life. Alt out. Don't rush it. No x2 XP. Explore the City. Fly between missions. Just run around saving hapless heroes on the street. Join that DFB, POSI 1, POSI 2, random PUG, etc! Check out other servers!

Doctor Ditko caving to THE MAN. Say it isn't so. Throw your wooden shoes into the gears of Technocratic change! Honestly, I was just thinking that Discord is really just that. Discord. It is honestly more for someone that wants to jump from game-to-game rather to have any kind of loyalty to any one (or just a couple) gaming platforms. It tracks players, so you can track down anyone in their multiverse if you want to (easier if you friend them first). I am actively watching it destroy a gaming community that was great for well over a decade. The old school caved in to wanting to attract new gamers that didn't want to bother with joining a gaming forum and using TeamSpeak3. Both have far more versatility than Discord and both have their uses. Discord is just cobbled together mess in my opinion. Enjoy the candy that is Discord if that's your sweet tooth.

Get 7 other controllers on your team with 3 ACCs,1 or 2 recharge, and 1 or 2 hold duration in one or more hold powers with Lockdown +2 Mag Procs in each Hold, Leadership Tactics with 3 To-Hit's, some other sets with ACC bonuses, some global recharge from sets, Hasten (wouldn't hurt), good timing from everyone, good hit rolls, and good luck in general. Powers that defense debuff to make it easier to hit them is always a bonus. Same goes powers for debuffing the AV's to-hit. If you can get a stormy to pin them to a ceiling with hurricane, that does pretty good to help keep them debuffed from hitting you and can keep them getting knocked down over and over again even if they are pinned to the ceiling.
