Or people could just discuss the topic versus bring preconceived bias to the conversation. Some people in the forums at this point just seem to be out to get certain people for whatever reason.
-
-
Well, that too is bad behavior. Bad behavior on their part doesn't excuse other people's bad behavior.
-
The OP was serious about their post. And I think they have a good point. To me there was nothing silly about it.
-
I saw what was being done in the post. It was making a mockery of the OP. Apparently, other post was as well. Very trolly of them. And I don't judge other people for that they do unless it is ruining other people's fun. I have read the entire thread other than those that I have on ignore. It seem you are intentionally being trolly as well.

His back story is just out there wide in the open and swingin the breeze for everyone to see.

Life is too short not to use the ignore button in some cases. I perhaps use it to liberally, but I don't have to deal with people that I feel are behaving badly. First time I went to a chat room on netscape about work related business with colleagues, one guy immediately jumped to the keyboard and begin typing in the most obnoxious stuff possible to annoy everyone else intentionally and then got into a word battle with them... on the company account. Yes. Trolls do exist. The guy was giggling happily as he was intentionally annoying other people ... on the company account. The guy is pretty much a jerk in real life as well. Other people were laughing along with him because we as an alpha bully type. I'm just sitting there thinking how bad it was making the company look but not being out number in the situation. Oddly enough (or is that "obviously for good reason"?), the company held no more group access to the internet with the company account to discuss business related ideas with people in the same field.

Agreed. I rarely use the Ouro. I agree. It appears to be another reason that NoPantsMan is seen to be a villain in most countries around the world.

As long as you don't use XP buffs from the P2W, I don't think you outlevel content at +2 level. It was so long ago, but I think that before the noterity thing there was a way to set it at a couple of different difficulty levels and +2 is the equivalent of what is the highest level that was originally intended to be set up too. I think it can go without saying that you can always go and do missions below your level in the Ouroboros and it will set your character to the intended arc level until you complete the content. This seems to fit with the "read-all" mind set. Do your teams do a lot of roleplaying chat in general during your missions?

That is what someone else said, but I haven't checked it out yet. I haven't made a new alt since then. It's been a busy week. I usually start out at +1, 1 and then move up as the character is able to handle it. I was usually on +2, 2 as soon as slotted with SO's, but I wait to get a couple more powers at this point since SO's are available so low at this point. I progress difficulty from there. Setting to a level to make it difficult but not impossible to beat for solo or the team that I'm with. I know others that do that. I know this one player that will copy-and-paste everything into /team that the rest of the team can't see ... if you let them. I can see how that can be fun to read everything (the DEVs did take time to put there for people to read), but I usually don't take the time to do it most of the time. Especially the clues. I hardly ever read those ... even though I take time to write them out in AE missions that I create.

And, yet, you continue to post a complaint about other people who are - in your viewpoint - complaining and, meanwhile, asserting you are superior. That does not show maturity. I'm wondering just how old you are. Many of us are well over 50.
-
I would suggest warning the team in general in /team before kicking someone. I usually give the players three chances.... unless they are being a complete jerk and did something that warned against people doing and their actions cause a total team wipe. They get kicked immediately. If they want to know why they were kicked, I tell them that they were warned. If their first tell is that I'm a [insert insult here] for kicking them, then I put them on ignore. The players that are truly jerks intentionally are few and far between in THE CITY .. the heroes part at least. I don't play much on the Villain side and I don't start in Praetoria (hard to avoid Praetorian missions as they get mixed in with normal content at a certain level.

You're robbing people of the enjoyment of playing the mission as a team. If you are the team leader, great. If you aren't the team leader, then you should ask the team lead if they want you rushing around doing your own thing instead of acting as part of the team. If all you want to do is rush around doing your own thing at your own speed, why did you join to be part of a team? Is it an ego thing? There are a good number of players that don't want to be power-leveled. Most people aren't playing to see how fast they can get through a mission. It's a boring issue of Justice League when they show up to solve something and .... -Page 1 - Panel 1- Superman is standing around as the rest of the Justice League arrive at the area overlooking [the enemy, problem, world disaster] Page width panel Superman Great. You finally go here. -Page 1 - Panel 2- Justice League in a circular group. Superman is a blur rushing away and back from wherever. Page width panel Batman Okay, we are ... Superman Problem solved. Is there something else we need to do here? Aquaman Again?! Really?! - Page 1 - panel 3 - Superman flying off. Rest of the JL shrugging, pointing, and other emotes. half page width panel Superman Ah. I see we are supposed to go to [insert place that is obvious to go to next in the storyline]. I'll wait for you there. - Page 1 - Panel 4 - Green Arrow pointing at Batman. Batman standing resolute with the other JL members standing around him - other than Superman who flew off last panel. half page width panel Wonder Woman We really need to ... Batman Not here. We are team. We will discuss it later. - Page 2 - Panel 1- Justice League assembled at the JL Satellite (or wherever they are retconned to hang out at this point) sitting/standing around (whatever they are sitting and standing in around in their retconned base environment these days). Flash Are you sure he can't hear us? Batman Almost entirely sure. We do have the (insert good reason that Superman can't hear them talking... vacuum of space or what not). - Page 2 - Panel 2- Close up of Aquaman and whoever is standing/sitting to either side of him. Aquaman I say we take a vote. We don't even let Superman know about what we are doing until we at least get a chance to try to solve the problem. - continues on for the rest of the issue with discussion about various situations where it isn't necessary to alert Superman immediately in order to save the lives of bystanders, protect property, avert wars, etc.- - Final page - 3nd to last Panel - Batman Then it's decided. We won't talk about this again. - Final page - 2nd to last Panel - Superman zooming into the room with the JL assembled some walking off. Superman So what aren't we going to talk about again? Cyborg We decided never to order a pizza with pineapple and anchovies ever again. - Last page - last panel - Superman with a quizzical look on his face. Superman ??? Might be fun for you. How does the rest of the team feel about it?

Yep. Idiots do that. They don't know any better.

A Foolproof* Way to Transfer Items in the AH (with pictures!)

There isn't one, and I don't want it either. I try to stay until the general area is clear and/or head out when the leader does. I try not to leave others behind if they look like they are in trouble. The people that give you the thumbs-down are, of course, the ones that are the perpetrators.

Lusca is great, but I'd like to have other threats added to the water in general. Even if they are just Coralax swimming around in the water like a player character. Sharkshead Isle with no sharks in the surrounding waters?! Come on!

Oh, really? Never noticed. Thanks.

I make characters because I get the itch to make one. Some character conception that I have or some power combo that I've decided I want to try out. Before I make a character, I figure out a character conception. Once I have a character conception, I log into design them. I create the character's main costume while in the character creator. I customize all the characters powers while in the character creator. I write the character's bio while still in the creator. I zone into the world and load up all my macros. (I need all my macros loaded up because I play with a Logitech F-310 gamepad) I pull lot down Inf from email (I store Inf from my other alts) I go to the P2W and get the prestige enhances, the free powers (character dependant), pay for a flight power (character dependant), usually get some temp powers (character dependant), fill up on x2 XP, and get all the teleport powers (base, base portal, assemble team, mission teleport, and the team mission teleport). I go to the Icon in Atlas (only have 4 villians... I think it's 4) and set-up the other costumes that I already have planned out. Usually an IB (innocent bystander) and maybe a couple of other variations or "form" changes (変身!) - Might have to go to the Pocket D and visit the costume person there if I want to have size or gender changes in the mix. Go around Atlas collecting the explore badges for the Atlas Tour Guide to unlock the Fast Travel power. Log out and invite the character to to a supergroup Log back in and go to talos and get the Minotaur exploration badge Go to Pocket D and get an exploration badge there Go to Peregrine and get an exploration badge there. 1) Join or start a DFB, 2) Hunt the Lake and spread out from there. If still below level 8, go to Kings Row or the Hollows If above level 8, 1) Join or start a Posi 1 or 2) go to Kings Row or the Hollows Once done with that I generally 1) Join or start a Posi 2 or 2) get some contact or radio missions in Steel At level 20, 1) join or start a Yin taskforce or 2) go to Striga After that it is pretty much potluck. 1) Join a PUG or make a PUG , 2) soloing, 3) Summer Blockbuster, 4) help fill a DFB (with whatever is my lowest level or a bubbler), 5) help fill task forces that need more that I am a high enough level for (usually switch alts to get someone not far above the base level for the content). 6) do some marketing until one of the previously listed things happen. I do run teams with a couple friends on regular basis for about 6 hours a week, but outside of that it's all PUGs. Sometimes we will pick a theme and create character that match that theme and level up to 50 doing that. I don't enjoy the end-game, but I will run it if pushed into it by friends. I generally only use x2 XP when gaming with my friends in order to keep up with their leveling. Sometimes I use it to 20 and don't get any more until it runs out. Other times, I don't re-up the x2 XP after the character's first trip to the P2W vendor. I do join Peregrine Island times sometimes, but I don't get more than 5 levels. I'm not trying to be PL'd. I'm just joining because it is a team at the time. I don't farm - missions or AE. I like to take part in the Motel 666 teams, but I keep that to the 5 level limit. I have two many spooky character that I don't get to play all that often and they should all have their time in the moonlight when the time is there. I like running around doing the Winter World content. I don't like the Valentine's day content that much. I like to run safeguards and mayhem missions. I try not to respec. I really try not to respec. I have to really make some really bad mistake in order to respec. I figure all the flaws that might occur are in-character/fated. Like to to use the enhancement option to use inf to automatically level up all my SOs just before reaching the boss at the end of a task force. I only slot attuned IO's or level 45/50 non-set IOs. I try to listen/read what the team leader has to say and follow the team lead. I try to stay with the group. If I see someone's health bar dropping, I try to help them anyway that I can with the powers my character has. I'm on all the servers, but, as I indicated earlier, I only have a couple of villain. I have no Praetorians at all. I'm somewhere over 109 characters. I keep a spreadsheet to keep track of my characters (their level, archetype, primary powerset, secondary powerset, what supergroup they are in, and what server they are on). Tally up the number of characters, levels, character per archetype. Calculate average level per server and overall. I like to build bases, so I have at least one base per server. I like to make themed superhero groups on my alt servers and make a base to match the supergroup theme. I'm sure I do some other stuff, but I'm tired and have to get some sleep. I most play at night. I love the night.

Agreed. Based on what I said in my post, I think someone snuck them in, and they were never supposed to be there or of any use. It's a shame too, because they could have at least use what little of a mechanic it was to travel to an area with an Easter Egg at the very least. Using it to travel to underground caverns inhabited by Coralax would be pretty cool.

here's some footage of what it looks like in DCUO

Electricity with Performance Shifter +End Procs and Power Transfer +Heal Procs in the attacks is fun.

Yeah, that's one way. I always carry one column of awakens and have the day job rez power. My awakens aren't for myself, they are for my teammates. I'm really good about getting out of a bad situation. Gameplay for many is about bull-in-the-china-shop defeating foes as quickly as possible. I like to try to figure out how to defeat the foes in a way and at a speed that the entire team can survive. A break-free and knowing when to retreat can often keep you from needing an awaken.
