IMO, Dual Pistols is just fine the way it is. It's my favorite ranged attack set. It doesn't need Aim because you get extra damage by loading Incendiary rounds and you get inherent extra accuracy. It doesn't need a snipe because of Piercing Rounds, which can... well... pierce through one or two baddies.

You at the very least want End of Time. It's a great PBAoE. I took Age of Touch to four slot it with Kinetic Combat. It's a decent melee attack. My main Blaster is Dual Pistols/Temporal Manipulation. Open up with Hail of Bullets, then use End of Time to clean up the stragglers.

It is not any easier than a bunch of 50+3s running roughshod over BAF iTrial, which was designed for level 50s. Should Incarnate level shifts be removed there as well?

But Dark Astoria is Incarnate content. It was redesigned to give people that refused to do Incarnate trials a method of obtaining Incarnate abilities.

Not necessary. As I have posted above, attuned IOs are pretty much functionally equivalent at pre-level 45 as Incarnate abilities level 45+. -

Interesting. I've read that you couldn't when Homecoming first launched, but I heard a couple of times that you could. I actually tried to do so a couple of months ago. I was in Mercy Island, and saw someone advertise a blue side DFB forming in Atlas. I sent a tell, asking if there was still room, and if so, that I would head on over. The person replied that he or she tried to invite my character, but could not. I explained that I was red side, but I would be right there. It took me about two minutes to get to Atlas Park... and the DFB team leader filled it without me. I went back to Mercy. About fifteen minutes later, someone else advertised a blue side DFB forming but didn't state where. The last blue side DFB I did back around June was formed in the Sewers, so I didn't want to just assume Atlas. So I sent the person a tell, asking where he or she was forming the blue side DFB. The exact response was, and I quote, "DFB." I replied, "Yes, but where are you forming?" No reply. After that, I just wrote off blue side DFBs (and well, blue side in general), as a bad idea.

I've heard that is the case, which just gives all the more reason as to why you should be able to launch them as a co-op team.

I strongly suggest that the Death from Below and Drowning in Blood trials be made co-op. I spent over a half hour this evening trying to form a red side Death from Below on Excelsior. I repeatedly advertised on the LFG channel, and advertised on a few Excelsior global channels. Despite all that, only two other people showed any interest. So, out of curiosity, I went to Pocket D, and tried forming a co-op DFB. I didn't think it would work, but I thought it was worth a shot. Eventually, we had six people. Three Rogues, three Heroes. Nope. The game wouldn't let us queue. It is a serious struggle to find teams red side, especially the DFB and DiB trials for some reason. Making those two trials co-op would go a long way to smoothing out the red side play experience.

How is it a slippery slope? Attuned IOs trivialize pre-level 45 content just as much as Incarnate powers trivialize level 45+ content. -

You are perfectly capable of forming teams with a "No Judgement, no Lore, no knockback, no Dispersion Bubble, and no Hail of Bullets" rule if you so desire. For better or for worse, the Incarnate abilities are in the level 45+ game to stay. -
Before sunset, I liked playing bubblers, and really disliked playing Blasters. Blasters felt way too squishy. Now, my Dual Pistols/Temporal Manipulation Blaster is my favorite character. She deals out damage like no one's business, and thanks to Temporal Healing, IO sets, Clarion Core Destiny, and Melee Core Hybrid, she is extremely survivable. I've used her to tank various level 50 TFs with. On the other hand, I haven't made a bubbler yet on Homecoming thanks to how badly they perform at above level 35, and am hard pressed to justify making any kind of support toon ATM due to the discrepancy between the Corruptor and Defender ATs.
