Only one of my toons has the badge for citizens, she has 5 or so AOEs. She also has the contacts for both mayhem and safeguard missions.

Bank missions or the vigilante morality mission to break Blast Furnace out of the zig. With the bank missions you also get a chance to kill the pesky citizens and you need 1000 of them too

What do you consider the worst power combos?

Archery/storm summoning corruptor -
Zephyr-whoa, she went from babeolicious to creeptastic in like 2 seconds flat.

Don’t run, you’ll only die tired. This in game quote from, I believe, warriors, comes in quite handy in many real life cases.

Dark/Dark...Defender, Corruptor, Controller, or Dominator
Jimpy2 replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
I have a dark/dark dominator who I turned into a to hit debuff machine. Not much for big damage, but can also do a decent hold and immobilize and instill some fear. -
My piecebringer Britney Logan’s battle cry is “Oops, I did it again”

Most of my tanks can handle +4x8 if slowly. A couple of my brutes and my sword/shield scrapper, all of which have tough and weave can too. It’s a matter of how fast I want to move. I have a ice/willpower sentinel who can handle+3x8. It also makes a difference who I’m facing. Council or Freakshow is easier, others, not so much.

One of my friends noticed that Blast Furnace (and others) can attack right when they start to rez. So he did an experiment. Target Blast Furnace and you can attack the second they start rezzing.

Lets talk - The negative part of the Double XP Buff.
Jimpy2 replied to Zewks's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Until fairly recently I always used double xp. Lately I’ve been doing more and different content and leveling slower. One of my friends always goes the double Xp route and says he has as much influence as me. He’s wrong but also I have way, way more reward merits and I do all the Faultline/Striga/Croatoa strings so I have a ton of temp powered. He literally power levels his new toons now, he has 5 accounts, then doesn’t know how to use them. He gets toons to 50 in 2 or 3 days and I take a lot longer. But when I hit 50 I have mostly enhancements sets and know exactly what my toon’s weaknesses and strengths are. I work on those weaknesses with my incarnate powers. He ALWAYS take musculature, ion judgement, barrier destiny and the hybrid that always gives you a damage increase (I forgot it’s name) because he views those as the best, even if he needs work on something else. He hates LOTRO because the toons aren’t as customizable but here he has about 15 electric/devices blasters, all with fire epic and the same incarnate powers. lately he’s been trying to make a tank. He has several ice/fire tanks and they all “suck”. He never tries to use them before 50. My most recent tank, a dark/dark tank, took months to get to 50 and has 10 toggles. I took whatever alpha gives you endurance reduction and I’m ok with endurance now. He doesn’t do that, he has Consume so he takes musculature and always has an endurance problem. Sorry for the meandering sometimes off topic rant, but he complained to me that my toon was leveling to slow. But my toon had 100 million influence and he had to take time to load a different account to email himself some. I like the idea of not getting influence with the double xp but my one friend who uses it all the time, gets on my nerves. Also, he has developed title envy. He discovered one of my toons (actually quite a few of them) have the title Villain of the Month but he’ll never do the work needed to get it. Same thing with the Cannibal title and that’s easy to get if you try. Sorry, I’m ranting again. I would hate it if double xp was the default. I’ll take the slow road and influence. -
It’s always at the Cooke’s Electronics by the big statue in the middle of Steel Canyon right by the base portal, Positron, and Valkyrie

It can be fun finding a map you’ve never done before. I was doing a +4x8 PI radio team and we got to a fork in the wearhouse and I said go left because there’s a big old room of xp that way and straight led to the end of mission and some players exit the second the mission is over and we had a lot of theses. I was correct and someone was like, “how did you know that?” And my response was I’ve done this map hundreds of times.

Until recently I never did red side over 20 or so and never ever did first ward/night ward. It was kinda fun. I never knew there was a gender swapped Jimmy Temblor and Fusionette. Fusion will never top the original. It was nice facing groups you never see. I know before a mission if my toon will be ok with council or freekshow or the likes. When you are facing a group you’ve never seen before it’s more interesting.

If I play a hero I almost always run Twinshot’s strings. In the last one the Investigate the Transmitter Tag mission, I was maybe 2/3 of the way to the mission when I realized it was sending me to Skyway City. Since about forever every blue side not power leveled toon I made has done it and it’s never not been at the Cooke’s Electronics in Steel Canyon. After thinking how weird that was I wondered if anyone else has run across something that ALWAYS goes some way but then didn’t.

I’ve been criticized because I rarely use blasters, I generally use sentinels. My response is I’m so aggressive that sentinels are better because they have defenses. My best response to the criticism is to use my ice/willpower sentinel. It has made some converts

I’m not?!?!?!?!

I’ve had problems recently when tanking, with people wanting me to round up a bunch of baddies for their incarnate booms, then attacking before I’m ready, then dying and blaming me.
-
If the developers fixed it, it wouldn’t have occurred in the first place. There’s a bug where if you play another character, like in a personal story, they sometimes where a costume piece of yours. It happens quite often in Preator Duncan’s personal story, for me at least, and in the Deborah Rosenfield mission I’m Atlas.

I have a friend who has 5 accounts and each account has at least 2 electric/devices blasters. All have the fire epic pool, so they can get rise of the phoenix, and almost all have. Fighting for weave and tough; and super speed for hasten and burnout. All of them have musculature alpha, barrier destiny, electric judgment, and support hybrid. I know a guy in LOTRO who has at least 3 wardens on every server and one server has about 15. I mean I’m kinda bad, all my tanks/brutes/scrappers/sentinels/stalkers have willpower for shields except maybe 4 and that’s across 4 accounts. I have a ton of willpower brutes but at least on any one account and server they all have different attacks. Right now if I play a brute it’s my titan weapon/willpower one.

I’ve got a peacebringer named Britney Lohan. Someone once asked why she wasn’t wearing any pants and I said why would Britney Lohan be wearing them. Also I have a ice sentinel named Frostbeaux, it took a few screenshots to get the look right. Although you can’t quite mimic Flambeaux exactly because her skirt has a pattern that doesn’t exist in the costume creator.

I may have posted this before but I ran across it again—so you want me to walk up and talk to the Sentinel (of Mot). Dream Doctor I know it’s not the best of plans…

My main character, which started out as a joke toon, Frostbeaux, is a level 50 ice/willpower sentinel, with 3 alphas maxed out. One for damage, one for control, and one for defense. She’s convinced a few anti-sentinel types that they can be good. She spends most of her spare time badge whoring. I got her up to 820. she’s also the toon I spent the most time creating the original costume. I took a half dozen or so pics of Flambeaux and tried to create an icy blue version but Flambeaux’s exact skirt pattern isn’t available.

My character Mr. Spork was created solely because I thought of a joke bio. Half cold, calculating logic of a spoon, half wild reckless emotions of a fork. A foot in both worlds, but not truly-art of either.

My assault rifle blaster has positively silly range thanks to enhancement sets and incarnate abilities. I hadn’t used one in over a decade so I don’t know if anything has changed, but I can sit back and use all my powers at well over 100 feet. I get in trouble some times because I accidentally shoot someone clear across the room. I’ve been known to full auto one group and also hit the next. That’s a long way to throw a smoke grenade (I’m devices). Full auto can take out most minions it hits if I’m playing at level. LRM rocket, munitions mastery, has the same range as sniper rifle. It’s fun to ignite things way far away. It may have changed, I don’t know, but it is still a good set if you put some thought into it and have a tank that doesn’t mind you knocking back everything.
