  1. Can you point me to the list you had made previously? I'm happy to update/edit it with the changes from this patch. It is still less work for me than starting from scratch 🙂
  2. Has anyone compiled a list of the easiest-to-get-to exploration badge in each zone, i.e. a simple list to follow for unlocking every zone with minimal travel time and/or risk? I started to make a list like that for my own use, but it occurs to me that other, more ahead-thinking folks might have done this already. If not, I will start it myself and share it in a separate post. To clarify: The badges I want to list are the ones which are close to publicly available zone entry points such as blueside and goldside train stations, redside ferries and helicopters and the Tunnel service. Preferably with a badge marker low to the ground to avoid the (admittedly minimal) hassle of using a flight power. As an example, the easiest exploration badge in Talos Island is IMO the Last Line of Defense - it is close to a train station and easy to find. In Atlas Park I would list the badge next to Henry Peter Wong because it is marginally faster and easier to get to than the ones inside City Hall or on top of the statue. And so on, and so on, you get the idea, I hope. As far as unlocking LRTP in the first place, I personally find it simpler to park each character in Pocket D for an hour while doing something else around the house, but YMMV.
  3. Do you mind sharing your build for this, please? A solo plant/thorn domi is a "project character" I have been wanting to make for a while, and making it a Praetorian makes a lot of sense. Many thanks in advance.
  4. If you do end up making some changes based on the comments in this thread, please post the revised build here. I have been looking for a build like this for a while.
  5. Did you mean an iTrial? Not that it is a big deal, but just for clarity.
  6. Those two armor sets are somewhat similar in playstyle IMO. Rad is at least as good as Elec on the resist stuff, and better than Elec in terms of regen/selfheal. At their best, both can probably be equally good, but the /elec would cost more Inf to get there. As price is not an object for you, the decision comes down to aesthetics and/or thematics. I personally prefer the visuals of /elec as they are more subdued, but that is 100% subjective. Disclaimer: My opinion is based on a Rad/Dark tanker and an Elec/Elec brute. It is possible that Rad/ is significantly different on brute vs. on tanker - if that is the case, you should ignore everything I say. If you need any tips on the best technique for ignoring everything I say, just ask my wife.
  7. Can someone please explain the difference between Last Hit Chance and ToHit Bonus? I understand (barely!) that the two values represent different information, but I don't know enough to form an opinion on which of them is more useful for me to have in the Attributes Monitoring box. T.I.A. :)
  8. That was qui k - thanks!
  9. Is there a way on Homecoming to get the teleport-to-Pocket D power?
  10. Hi guys, My new-ish Kin/Elec brute is coming along nicely, but I am not quite seeing the usefulness of Power Siphon yet. I mean, I use PS whenever it is up at the start of a fight, but it doesn't seem like the fights where I use PS are significantly easier than the fights where I don't. My forum searches indicate that most people consider this an important power to have, so... is there a trick to making the best use of PS, or am I doing it right but simply not noticing all the good things it is doing for my performance? Or to put it another way: If I myself consider Power Siphon a meh power, but many other, better-than-me players consider it a good power, then most likely the majority are right :) Thanks in advance.
  11. Out of curiosity, when did the nerf to EM (or rather, to ET) happen? Back on Live, I only managed to get 2 characters to level 50 the old-fashioned way (i.e. not counting AE farm powerlevelled chars), and one of those two 50's was an Energy/Energy brute who dinged 50 sometime in 2008. So now I wonder whether that was before the EM nerf, or I was simply oblivious to how gimped a powerset I am playing with :)
  12. Thanks a bunch for the feedback, this was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I took the advice and rolled up a Rad/Dark Tanker. Hopefully others can get some use out of this thread in the future as well. Cheers!
  13. I use this keybind which helps you target all the anti-Kheld enemies in a mob group before any "normal" mobs: /bind tab "target_enemy_next$$target_custom_next alive quantum$$target_custom_next alive void$$target_custom_next alive cyst". It is useful in the sense that it can highlight a quant which you have overlooked yourself; the downside to this bind is that if you want to target one of the normals while there is still a quant/void/cyst left alive, you have to do it manually. As a side note, I use this same keybind for the Tab key on all my characters, so that when I am playing a non-Kheldian but am teamed with a Kheld, I can eliminate the anti-Kheld enemies quickly and thus keep my Kheld teammate in the fight. A dead Kheldian teammate => more enemies to focus their attacks on myself 🙂
  14. Hi guys, I would like to start a new tanker character, either a Rad/Rad, a Dark/Dark or some combo of those two powersets. I have read a bunch of threads on this forum about Rad and Dark but still don't have a good feel for the playstyle, strengths and weaknesses of each one. Can one of you please summarize how Dark/Dark and Rad/Rad compare with other? No need for a specific build, just a brief general overview/comparision. Bonus question: Are Dark/Rad or Rad/Dark more complementary than either of the pure combos? Some basic info to explain what I am looking to do with this character: - Mostly solo play - story arcs and newspaper missions - Casual player with below-average player skills - I tried several tankers back on Live, but none of them made it past level 25ish. Well, except for a 50 Elec/Fire farmer who was very efficient but not much fun. So I would prefer a tanker build which is fun (and preferably with good survivability but this is not a must) in the low levels. Oh, and my playtime is limited, so the stock answer of "Just make one of each and see which one you like most" is not particularly useful 😉 Many thanks in advance!
