  1. I tried looking before posting but i guess i failed. It makes sense this is the third time though, It's probably the most annoying thing about multi-forming to the point where a lot of people i know won't play khelds over it. Love perma-lightform PB, i just wanted to venture into the forms and re-toggling is so off putting its crazy. I'm glad to see this is a common request though. It would be nice to have some dev acknowledgement on this issue though considering how common it is.
  2. Have the human form toggled abilities suppressed instead of turning off when swapping forms, that way when you re-enter human form you do not need to turn them all back on before jumping into the next group. In the other forms they still wouldn't give any bonuses or anything because that would be op. This might be seen as a small "buff" to WS/PB but it wouldn't be much of one if so just a lot less annoying in between groups.
  3. I think the idea of unique procs that don't belong to a set is interesting but it would require a lot of thought and balance. I think if you were going to do them they'd be better off as "Incarnate IO" where it has a negative and a positive, easier to balance makes it more interesting. What your suggesting is a little too much for current coh. if we had incarnate IO's with a neg/positive you could have them drop from incarnate trials.
  4. I'm trying real hard to read through what you just typed as it's mostly incoherent rambling but... I never said anything could or couldn't be OP based on any situations. I only said their damage cap was not broken. I said to reach it, you needed teammates or reds. Not that reaching it was OP or not OP. I never said most of what you're suggesting other than If you take City of Heroes team buffs into account for how an ability is balanced then you're doing it wrong. Also, we're taking away from the thread and should take this to private if you'd like to continue.
  5. To be totally honest with you, the glimpse we got of their ideas for the new T9's would make cottage rule purists upset. Look to rad armor for how they should be adjusted.
  6. The updates to tanks is all positive, I just don't think its all the answers. I think another root problem is armor set T9's (with the exception of Bio/Rad armor). T9's were going to get reworked and i think that would be a good next step.
  7. Ah ok, thanks! also, I farm enough and i can't say i have ever kept up having 10+ reds on at all time. 1-3 sure but not 10+ and again thats an extreme situation and also why i said " Unless you have a tray of reds in your back pocket every mob. " 😛
  8. I don't have issue with the new cap and unless I'm just reading their patch note wrongs? Which tbh is probably likely because they word stuff weirdly, did they not just lower fury generation?
  9. haha farming is just...farming. You can't really take farming into account TBH. With farming yeah yikes... Scrappers will still reliably do more damage and if you count IO's (which you shouldn't for most balance things) they can be beefy as well and...with the same team buffs you're referring pretty much any AT can be unkillable god because that's how teammate buffs work which again is pretty much why you can't start an argument about a power by going "Well with the right team buffs..." because spoilers, with a FF/Sonic/Kinetics on team nobody is dying except the mobs and in seconds. Thats just how CoH is.
  10. What you're suggesting is dangerous. Implying that something is OP because of teammates will immediately make every ability need a nerf. "Well SR can be soft capped to every defense and hit resistance cap because of their teammates! better nerf SR". Your argument is way worse. Also on a side note, Veng is 35% damage. Thats not even close to damage cap and of course with a straw man like "Well if brawl could one shot AV's it'd be OP" it's easy to try and dismiss people.
  11. You mean that thing they can't reach ever on their own or even close to? Brutes do less damage than tanks base and less damage than stalkers/scrappers in general. They have a high potential for damage sure but realistically you will never reach damage cap on your own, not even close. Unless you have a tray of reds in your back pocket every mob. How exactly is that "broken" Also, im not against lowering it like they did because again you never got there anyway. It'll go completely unnoticed by nearly every player in most situations. My thing is why are they even touching brutes, brutes aren't the problem. Tanks needed love and even the devs knew it and (again) the AOE increase is a good direction.
  12. Tankers aren't even bad they just (at end tier) fall a bit short to brutes because of damage preference. AOE changes? great. A little boost to damage? sure why not. You should be focusing on finding more things like the AOE increase though. Utility should be why tankers shine, not just damage buffs and brute nerfs. Nerfs are bad unless something is clearly broken OP.
  13. That's not me saying anything about cottage, that's qoutes from the guy who made the rule, castle. Also ik not changing a power. I'm suggesting adding new ones along side it. Cottage wouldn't really apply because it's not modifying detention any.
  14. "Seriously, it *is* a good policy -- it provides structure within which to do things. Without structure, there's chaos. How would you like it if tomorrow you logged in and, say, Build Up now built a small cottage at your chosen location, instead of adding to your damage? It's a silly example, admittedly, but it's to prevent such wholesale changes from happening. I *could* overturn it, in specific cases, if it were truly needed, but in the case being discussed here, it is not truly needed. There are MANY options that have been discussed that do not involve changing the core use of the power." " An existing power will not have its core functionality and purpose changed, though its strength may be altered and effects secondary to the power's true purpose may be added or removed. " Adding additional functions to the existing power without removing its core function doesn't break the cottage rule. If someone suggested force bubble give your team +regen and your enemies -regen instead of what it does currently then yes, that would then be the cottage rule being broken.
  15. I'd like to see the three modes applied to Detention Field instead. Depending on which bubble you use, it could do normal/debuff/buff. Like if you use the debuff one (for sake of names) crushing field, it's a -regen -def on an enemy but they can still be hit. Where as the buff could be a +regen +??? on an ally. FF with a -regen would make it viable for AV fighting without needing another support on team.
  16. I kinda wish fly just always was the speed of the afterburner, i'd probably take it more
  17. I'd like to see things like Psi armor and Radiation epic pools
  18. This guy gets it. You can keep IOs in mind but they can not be the base.
  19. Since i'm blocked and that trog can't respond anyway, I'm not asking for buffs nor do i think this is needed. For future references, please try and take into consideration not everyone min/maxing in this game nor does everyone have billions of inf to fully IO before they're even 50. IO's are fun and good, but not the base of the game.
  20. And again you can't read and miss entirely that this game is not designed for min maxers. This game is designed so that the casual player with 100 alts can jump into any content and do well. You also don't seem to remember on live when a good IO build costed somwhere in the 5-6 billion influence that normal people couldn't afford. Theres a reason HC made it so easy, for casual players to keep up with the neck beards(and lady neckbeards). Seriously, i can't explain this to you any further. If you can't read i cannot help you. Goodluck to you though, i think we've run our course in talking with each other.
  21. Why? Because i understand the direction of the easiest fucking mmo on the market was taking? You seem to barely understand how it fucking functions let alone how it should be balanced. "Oh no if you buff this it'll perma hold a mob" spoilers you already do unless you mez it and then just stare it. Regardless of how many times anyone told you they were discussing SO tier timers, you kept rambling on about IO's as if you can't even read. With IO's you can break this game in ways the devs didn't even know possible. IO's are so fucking broken a blaster can tank +4/x8 with no issues and nuke every single mob, mezzing be damned. You bark and whine about how it's too easy yet you think buffing some dumbass ability by 1 minute and thusly letting scrubs have an easier time would somehow make your already broken character more broken. Your characters either suck or you just don't know how to play if you aren't already soloing this games highest content as if it the enemies were conning grey.
  22. So you think assault rifle is just all good and dandy. assault rifle sucks bro
  23. Of course, nobody is saying ignore IO's entirely. Just balancing the whole game around them is a bad idea.
  24. You're still looking at IO's for balance and again thats not how it will ever be done, especially since with IO's you will already perma stunlock a group. So you're basically saying you'd MORE perma stunning a group? I get what you're driving at but with IO's this is already a thing. The entire encounter those enemies will be held followed by dead. Yes this would make it easier to achieve with IO's and thats no good for a difficulty thing but balance isn't in IO's no matter how much you want to think it should be and again, this change will never happen so this is mostly a moot point to be making. and if your fights aren't going that way when IO'd as a controller, you're bad and should reroll into something easier.
