Absolutely, positively, THE aggro magnet. Nice work. Only Ice tank I ever made to 50 was an Ice/Battle Axe on main (FRZRBRN)...should have done Ice/Ice, in hindsight...
-
Four tank Posi (ex'ed to what, lvl 12) was interesting, but we were mighty!...even at /8, so we fought two each of our Sims... Pep's sim was the *worst* and got a couple of us...darned EM. 😆 Missed Hera, but I ran my Inv/DM tank (predominately their build), in their honor. Damn that build is durable!

Bad ass, as usual 🤑

Haven't taken Rad to 50, and haven't done a spines tank....well, ever, but if you want the classic (unkillable) Invulnerabilty/Super Strength tank, with some Pyre mastery debuffs, this is your guy (props to Hyperstrike and Infinitum for the base): https://www.midsreborn.com/builds/download.php?uc=1621&c=775&a=1550&f=HEX&dc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f you want an unkillable Inv/Dark Melee (props and homage to Heraclea's original build), with more debuffs, I run (and will run him tonight, in their honor), you can try this one: https://www.midsreborn.com/builds/download.php?uc=1460&c=728&a=1456&f=HEX&dc=78DA5593494F535114C7EF6B5F292D05C40A652CB4944EC0A318170E31D1D8A2C810428D5B7CCA031A9AD2B485D0BD386CDDB871C0A51FC08D6EFD040E01940FE0849AA80C467D9EBEFFB9019AB4BFDEFFB9E7FCCFB9EFBEB1E5A4676666E89C503C17B27AB1387545CFCD1B05E7B85E5A2CE859411F6FF2FCE4C8782A9D9E4C0D5F1C4F772D9DD0124ED2FDD83A9534668C5CD1D086734B8BD99C51D0AF67B29952D9C7E131236B185A522FCCE3AFF04C2C2C64B55143CF6772B3B5D66228333B57A255BD0C4D1B85E25C26EFB6D6E9BC614C7B53F9CC0D2D45F567CB53637AB16414CACDD44588BEAF5CF4A3547A15A643FCB40B31A80ADB2FE636A8EE804776C1A618654454B16D255BD9A61023840E55BC76494D98AAC21555AE58C515ABB8622B577C434976AEE4B07F8058FD91F909747F667E013D5BE05B4A76C8191CECD8CC8E7E76F4B363173BB6F20C3B94ECC40998AAF33D829177E0C006185FE70358035FC484704947173B7AD8B18E1DEBD8B1991D037BE02E39D6F0AC6ACD499B251E3DC53C0D1E3BC33C0BFAE8DAD40A388ADA4D88BFA9523DF7EEA8BFAB62C03BCCDB60E016D8B702F6DF04D729B941B1FA30ED0D8D8A2576D781213738F8144E7BB4D92B9FB4B708718DC446F9A41BF914BAF914BAF914DAF914E2F2EED0203E4E527C6CDBFE03C10DAAD8C2415B0B0703DC53987BFA439BDA14C5694DDDF600D3841F82FE4760E431185BE5A99F80364AEB908374AC60103B899DD2B6F3387A0955BAA4FB1CE28BF2976C838A70589B824B02E5CBCC65F01F6DEAE1C764EF09A37C380246A2605F0C54C9362A6DA33CED004F9BE0691B6853AF3CE45EDED43F841EFB86F99E5E02B5113048499ABC2D5A6FA5379758A558428A890037AEEEBFFF66BB2AE4C7ACAC4D538C1E92AAD0F8842A734854DA5069CBBDFFDE0BA51FE2D7436214E2B703A2A25CC5F1365D06BF1F0ADE8761FC1EF832BEFF1698D7E8251C94AD3FF31E5854FB0E2C9E07692173FE031561DD5D Nothing, however (IMHO) is as satisfying as Foot Stomp, every 7-10 seconds (so go with NUTCRCKR). But I'm old school...

Don't feel bad, as I've experienced the same with WP. As a self-proclaimed Invulnerability fanboy, I was dismayed when I took my WP/Fiery Melee tank into ITF and got royally waxed (albeit at +4/8), at the dark ambush. Realized the difference between 50% DDR and 21.6% is *immense*. The regen of WP, which is more than enough for 99% of all PVE content, wasn't enough for ITF. Easily fixed with Barrier or Ageless (Radial version) Destiny Incarnate, but you've gotta plan for that, if being able to main tank everything. Having said that, I truly love the tank that I posted above, as he can tank almost everything at +4/8 (including ITF, now), including fire farming...and, as mentioned above, YES he takes the T9 (because, well, his name includes "Will", so "Strength of Will" is a must :-)).
-
That was unclear...should have added (albeit a) single target power. NUT is Inv/SS/Pyre and uses Melt Armor, so very familiar with it. Back to dual build, then 🙂
-
Yeah, had a hard choice and chose Temp Invuln, to be more durable, since he already has Heat Exhaustion as a single target debuff ...great point and why I asked! May reconsider or make a second build and see if 45% ranged is enough to not constantly facepant (like a blaster...no insult intended, some of my best friends are blasters :-)).
-
I don't have that exact combo, but my WP/Fire tank is pretty stout...here's his build: https://www.midsreborn.com/builds/download.php?uc=1433&c=707&a=1414&f=HEX&dc=78DA4D94C973124114C67BA0C9422009212C5908842C100863D08B6B7930216A2555C4443DA628D326532220E076B4CAF5EAC5831E3C59EAC18367FF0FD7A34B12B358EE9EC6C77C2F81A982DFF45BBF79DD33B3D7265D2FA66F1C159AEB583E57A92C2EE40A1754B965F6723557358A054197EFAC91CF47B2C5ABAA9CCAE4731755E4CA3E7DA2993C41442F4EAAF3AA50517A2DB0548BDB71CCAABC527AC650E5EBB817AE6CB198D76754AE641496DDD622632CAF5469E5B456F325A5963A76A29654B9B26294BC5325E39C3E5550E5652A94AB54A96090048CD0EF632BFD6935A1A643FCB50B9196C2F693F90B947FC0A6D39AC59639D0E36CC89D2744C997059D73A0EB14D8BE000E2E1263527CA2BE1AE76ADC4F72BF26D6E1E4BEAEDF60FB3F62488A004DCF2EAC5CCDDE0B5FF7079BC5CF54D7C1751D9BF0F5AE32D7C0FE7570E02B18D900BF506E337245F3A0B06CAB646BB5849AB2B51F71FE10181C6086B95E04F4D25CDA5047B6BD667D6F38F71D6B78CBBDDF836BD4C7CDBADDEB92F549D6070E6E82435BE0F03668A37974601EF60EDE872E9EFB28EF479AF7C34FB11EF4D13CDFD17BF8076B24DD5E9EABB782790E95C075D2E7439ECDE7C3FE8F7683B14E304AB5035C3B90C4FC46997EAADD039FBDE7196AC61E12BD528C3D02134F60F7516C1F7438FAEEE119C7EFF20CEEF00C6EF30C6E81E99BA08734845843887526585F80EA86B96EF8086B380C8E1D621E041307C0D47E3048B951D61F8DC3361E63263836093EA6718EF0391AE173F4DC2D449C6DF10788B393D6246B4DD60647673BE50725F9743E437A06FBB3679A799C79024CF3736ED01E4DE0F9C4C45EF8C6E4EE3B6AF64BC197595B9AA69869B4344155567202D9B43EA8DF74EEBEAD424BC1B6D5688BC3B65DB7D9B43350D5C95F8DCE939AF5E67FABC7681A4FA2EB3EE80A10D0DB6CF7D13D2B7F1AADDB5F7AEBF7971AE25F35D8FF0327D9D234 And here's my Inv/SS go-to.: https://www.midsreborn.com/builds/download.php?uc=1562&c=762&a=1524&f=HEX&dc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aybe you can take the best of both worlds? 🙂

Lemme start with the caveat...I'm a tanker. Have been tanking since 2004. I think I do pretty well, as anyone who has teamed with any of my tanks (in my sig) would/could attest...(and Cenozoic once even referred to my tanking as "legendary"). When I wasn't tanking, I played a Kin/Dark Defender and, when the team needed AV debuffing, a Rad/Rad Defender. I had great fun with an Ice/Emp Controller, as well (all have been rebuilt in Homecoming - in sig). I also had a couple of blasters, and they were lots of fun, but missed the support role. When CoV came out, I gave it a whirl. Never played a Corruptor, as I quickly found the Mastermind AT quite satisfying (and then went back to CoH to tank :-)). Which leads me to this. Ran this Corr to 50, with just IOs and am now ready to make a (fairly) Min/Max version. Cobbled together some advice, from other builds, and came up with this. Something about not using both Corruptor ATOs, just doesn't feel right, so that's one of my dilemmas. Also not sure if SFB - immob, is right in RoF. I did accomplished the goal of soft capped ranged def., but without Force of Nature, not sure how durable he'll be. Suggestions are greatly appreciated! Behold! A Thwackin' Cometh! (Inv/WM, Because Screw Your End Bar That's Why)

Don't know that I've ever been accused of giving "bad advice", when putting a Num's unique in a build (but I guess there's a first time for everything)...also, never said one was better than the other, if you'll re-read my post, I never mentioned either, just included it in a build example. You make a valid point, but missed the mark by being overly critical. As I also said, it's great that we have the ability to post cross-build examples and ideas. Everyone must make their own choice in how they execute...and with unslotters being (fairly/comparatively) inexpensive, we can try and try again. Merry Christmas! -

Great points, all, and one of the reasons discussions like this are helpful for everyone, especially when it's not an "apples to apples" build comparison...because it brings even further perspective, into view. Honestly, all my tanks take Fighting (even though the top-end Inv ones don't even run the Tough toggle...it's just a mule), and rather than leave Kick un-enhanced, that's where the FF goes. I'm not chasing perma-Hasten, by any means, and Kick rarely is in my attack rotation, unless I situationally need the chance for a +recharge. I would consider myself a "Min/Maxxer", but only as it relates to survivability, on tanks. I have some RP caveats, however, especially as it relates to the +chance to heal procs. Personally, I can't stand the green +numbers, hovering over my tanks. Squishies and Brutes, fine, but not my meat shields. "we don't need no stinkin' 50 HP every now and then"... IMHO, if you need that to save your arse, you've got bigger problems with the situation (or your build)... I'll liken it to my real life: In 2002, I finally was at a point in my professional life, that I could afford ordering a new car and paying MRSP. I traded my 1998 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra (Bright Atlantic Blue, bought pre-owned in 2000), for a 2003 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra...Ford code named - the "Terminator" (Sonic Blue, supercharged 4.6 DOHC, six speed, IRS), which I ordered from the factory. At the time, the Bassani or Borla X-pipe and straight through mufflers were making the most horsepower, on the dyno, but I stuck with the factory H-pipe and Flowmaster chambered mufflers, because I wanted the musclecar rumble, not the NASCAR scream. While I gave up ~15-20 RWHP, I enjoyed every minute of my time behind the wheel, because it sounded like I wanted (and it still put down 400+ RWHP and ran a 12.5 @ 115, with a rookie [me] behind the wheel)....same reason I forgo the Panacea and other +chance for HP procs. ***as an aside, my Cobra drowned, two weeks short of its 14th birthday in Baton Rouge, during the "Great Flood" of August 2016, with 51K original miles on the ODO. A total loss. I don't enjoy the time "behind the wheel" of my tanks, with green numbers hovering over me. But that's just me. If it works for anyone else, I shall not judge. -
Hera will be sorely missed. Always enjoyed the battle cries, in Latin, of course. Godspeed, hero.

Thanks, Ronin, you beat me to it (exact same shot I had).

I don't have a WP/SJ combo, but here's my WP/Fiery Melee build. Other than WP's usual DDR issue, he's very durable. My SJ tank is Inv/SJ and I took all the SJ attacks...but not sure they'll all fit, considering this build (which includes the Fighting pool). Many will chime in and poo-poo the WP T9 power (Strength of Will), but I took it and use it, with great effect. It's not really an oh-$hit button, per se, but does really speed up recovery, and has a nice boost to the resistances, which are not capped, kinda like using Dull Pain on a Inv tank, not as a heal, but a buff. The "crash" isn't bad at all, even without a blue skittle in your tray. https://www.midsreborn.com/builds/download.php?uc=1433&c=707&a=1414&f=HEX&dc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 EBF7971AE25F35D8FF0327D9D234

Solid build, for sure. I didn't modify my "titular" toon, after the stone upgrade, but he just got better. I'll attach the data chunk, for comparison (even though it's SS, rather than ice). Suggestions: 1. Put the S.Av KD proc in mud pots....it creates a psuedo-ice patch effect, with constant knock down. 2. As badass as stone armor is now, I still have granite as an "oh-$hit" button, so I'd recommend you make room for it, as well. https://www.midsreborn.com/builds/download.php?uc=1544&c=725&a=1450&f=HEX&dc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

First, with 1,000 character slots...do them both! Second, Stone/Dark "pales" in comparison, once you see the stone tank animations, in Granite form, doing high/spinning/somersault kicks 😁

My pleasure and thanks to everyone who came out. WE NEED MOAR TANKS!!! 🙂 The last Khan mish was long, but Reich went down like a... /radio edit/, so I consider it a success, fo sho. 1:22 (30 of it just killing Reich) for six tanks at +1 is a win, in my book! See YOU ALL, next week 🙂

Thank you, Sir! Often overlooked, as a taunt set, the PZ-6/6 bonuses are quite nice (not to mention the chance for psi damage on a T1 attack, and it's not unique, so you can still use the proc solo on Taunt): P.S. See you, tonight, for Tanker Tuesday on Torch.
