^----aaaaand, this. My version of 2. is in AV fights. I love kicking Rommie, whilst on one of my Inv tankers in the ITF, mocking him. Take THAT, shin guard. As you say, not expecting anything, but what a great feeling when it actually procs. Also, on 1., you've already spent $600+M on a fully tricked out Inv/SS build, so what's $2M in chump change (or less than $1M if you lowball the recipe/components and craft it), to NOT have to look at that empty slot.

Started him to fire farm ('cause I'm a tank guy) and, in the absence of ITF-scale defense debuffs, can deflect, defer and regen through damn near anything. Using Vorpal Judgement really makes his defense numbers silly... I will agree that Fiery Melee is not the best at anything, but does have nice places for the ATOs. I also go "against the norm" and routinely use the T9. Can't have a toon named "Will", without using the power "Strength of WIll", right? Best of luck and the only SR I ever had was a really fun Claws/SR scrapper on Live (pre-IO/pre-Incarnate), that I did get to 50. My main (currently ~VL 400) is NUT, and you're right, he's much more fun ex'd down to mid 30s or above, where I have to actually use Dull Pain to survive. +4/*8 ITFs are a cakewalk. Having said that, there's not much more satisfying than Foot Stomp, every 7-10 seconds 🙂

You remember correctly. Invuln's Invincibility is one of the best taunt auras (and a phenomenal defensive boost).

^--this When I rolled my Ice/Axe tank on Live it was before the IO (and long before the Incarnate system), and he was frustrating as hell, being used to maining a Stone tank. With no DDR, even low level CoT were a problem. I made it to 50 (because I'm a stubborn fool who tries to never give up), but then shelved him and never played him, again. I'm intrigued with ice melee, however, and may just roll a WP/Ice or Inv/Ice, instead.

Absolutely, positively, THE aggro magnet. Nice work. Only Ice tank I ever made to 50 was an Ice/Battle Axe on main (FRZRBRN)...should have done Ice/Ice, in hindsight...

Four tank Posi (ex'ed to what, lvl 12) was interesting, but we were mighty!...even at /8, so we fought two each of our Sims... Pep's sim was the *worst* and got a couple of us...darned EM. 😆 Missed Hera, but I ran my Inv/DM tank (predominately their build), in their honor. Damn that build is durable!

Don't feel bad, as I've experienced the same with WP. As a self-proclaimed Invulnerability fanboy, I was dismayed when I took my WP/Fiery Melee tank into ITF and got royally waxed (albeit at +4/8), at the dark ambush. Realized the difference between 50% DDR and 21.6% is *immense*. The regen of WP, which is more than enough for 99% of all PVE content, wasn't enough for ITF. Easily fixed with Barrier or Ageless (Radial version) Destiny Incarnate, but you've gotta plan for that, if being able to main tank everything. Having said that, I truly love the tank that I posted above, as he can tank almost everything at +4/8 (including ITF, now), including fire farming...and, as mentioned above, YES he takes the T9 (because, well, his name includes "Will", so "Strength of Will" is a must :-)).

That was unclear...should have added (albeit a) single target power. NUT is Inv/SS/Pyre and uses Melt Armor, so very familiar with it. Back to dual build, then 🙂

Yeah, had a hard choice and chose Temp Invuln, to be more durable, since he already has Heat Exhaustion as a single target debuff ...great point and why I asked! May reconsider or make a second build and see if 45% ranged is enough to not constantly facepant (like a blaster...no insult intended, some of my best friends are blasters :-)).
