  1. If it bugs you that much, get fold space. This problem will go away instantly.

Well, to be fair, there arent exactly a whole lot of options in either a or b categories, and the control sets listed are about 1/3rd of the control sets, so it is kinda hard to go wrong mix and maxing a and b sets. Also, in its own weird way, I would say grav is a pretty good control set. It is a little weird though, and I would have to admit, fire stomps it pretty good.

  4. Something to consider. Instead of making things BRIGHT, you also have the option of making things DARK. Dark as in literally dark, not dark as in darkitydarkdark blast et al. Consider the set less like a philips light bulb on 24x7, and more like a wall switch with light and dark both being part of the same switch.
  5. You got two nasties at once. Honoree and that other jerk. Just one is tough. Two at once, pass. I try to kill em, but I tend to be Die Hard, so sometimes I need to grab an extra body to help clear rikti to deal with the last room. It isnt exactly easy solo, but HEY, INCARNATE, amirite?
  6. Id decide if I want to alt more, or settle with one char for a while. 40 million, used strategically, can get a few alts critical enhs to level and be functional...
  7. So, a few things. #1, I really like the idea of reusing the new attraction mechanism that singy has. That is cool as hell, and it would be nice to get more mileage on the mechanism. #2, I could see the potential of increased crit chance against blinded foes (since I guess it is beyond flash arrow?) making it unique for the set. #3, stripping stealth off things would make arachnos easier I think, and that would be a good thing.
  8. Yeah, this has been the case since time immemorial. I can't think of a unique assault set except maybe martial, but even that only had 1 or 2 unique or new powers/animations.
  9. What, you dont like multiple stacks of sappers and enginererthingys droping guns and nonsense? What EVER could be wrong with having your toggles drop as the main aggro target cause you got flatlined and got no blue?
  10. Here is my agreement and disagreement. Ive known you for a pretty long time, so I know where you are coming from (looks back at numerous builds hyper has helped me build). I think we have a fundamental issue with build homogenity. Lately I have been going out of my way to NOT take fighting, and only occasionally taking man (mostly for assault, or assault and tactics, but never man for the stupid proc, and generally only man on a troller or a 'fender). The new changes to the sorc pool, the travel pools, and the new concealment pool all open up new play styles. I think things that further enhance this and give new play styles that allow for other functional survival techniques would be nice. For instance, acrobatics is nice, but its hella costly in power picks. What about new pool sets that have built in those kind of abilities, but lock you out of traditional picks?! Like Origin pools have lockouts, and Epics have lockouts. An example would be a vastly different pool than fighting, that locks fighting out, and instead offers a mix of low level mez prot + mez resist and some bonus other bits, but NO defense, and NO resist. Purely utility. That brings a new challenge into the game, new play styles, and new ways of approaching old problems.
  11. PLEASE give me the sonic -res pbaoe. Im probably the biggest fold space fanboi out there, and having that -res pbaoe aura + fire control (selftarget bonfire, pbaoe all the things) would make me giggle. Or even foldspace into earthquake. Or the volcanic gasses thing (which behaves bizarrely)
  12. I definitely think the lack of ability to help self-charge permadom without immense investment in ios would help. I have seen and played a few doms that are easily self sufficient to great effect solo and on small teams, without being lost in the sawse. But you get to mid size teams and higher and yeah, other than an alpha hold, you arent doing a whole lot. Originally, everything redside was meant to be solo capable. Why that decision was made, not entirely sure, but if you look at all the redside ATs, they have a greater disbursement of abilities that allow for stronger solo (on SOs) capability, waaaaaaaaaaay back in the day. Before IOs were even a thing. This comes to the other thread, whats the new bar for tuning, w/ or without ios, because (in before someone says anything is solo capable nowadays). If the redside ATs were built for easier entry to solo, how do you make them equally capable as bluesiders on large or fast moving teams? Stalkers got a MAJOR overhaul over the years to meet that mark. Brutes, well, brutes. MM have been slightly tinkered with over the years as well (bodyguard). Corrs gonna cor. But Doms? Other than the hackage w/ domination years ago, yeah, nothings really been done else...

  14. I am fairly confident that doms have the absolute least number of power combos and power sets of all ATs. I don't know of any "new" there except the martial thing or the cat-attack assault, and that was back on live. Meanwhile rad, bio, elec affin, sonic have either been created or mass-proliferated, plus a bunch of other whatnots. Have pity on the doms! I have zero clues what would be a good set to suggest, but I do think a dom-accelerant set would be nice, where either the primary or the secondary has the ability to ramp up recharge, something like a self-accelerating toolset that enables permadom with LESS DAMN RECH SET IOS. You know, something _baked in_ that would allow the set to get there easier, like beta-decays +rech, but for doms.
  15. Yeah, doms have languished for eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever. More powers would be nice, but straightening out things that either underperformed, misperformed, or didnt perform at all is important as well. Plus doms are SO DAMN EXPENSIVE to kit. edit: If blasters with their hundreds or some nonsense number of power combos get that meteor, im going to be irked. They got enough damn stuff!
  16. They have always placated, and if you pay attention, they will even crit you. You can also get taunted. That irritates me, because I have no way to kill the guy that taunted me which is usually a high value target, 😕
  17. Ahh, but fold space + -res aura + blizzard for alpha strike! And its (I think) got a range far enough to pull everything from 75 feet away.
  18. Very true, you dont get use out of the melee aura. But you do get a lot of hold synergy between ice and sonic.
  19. Don't bother with farming. A tiny bit of inf is all you need to get started. Minute by minute playtime, marketing is the most efficient way to generate inf. Farming is for a. fun (not inf generation), b. leveling your friends, c. leveling your alt-account alts, d. a way to entertain your farmerbrown while you do work and are afk Once you know how it works, you can convert a small number of merits + a handful of inf into LOTS of inf.
  20. Less "turn-based" I am guessing. The game really plays out like a series of turns in fast order. Before root changes, I had a huntswoman who played exactly like a fps. Run and gun, never rooting. Was "responsive" im guessing in the way the OP is probably looking for. Post root changes, shes not as fluid. But the roots are what make things a. cool, and b. probably the source of the turn-based feeling.
  21. Always been like this. It has been a source of much sadness for me, but its so bad ass that the boost isnt a deal breaker in the least. edit: partial justification on that appelation: the huge +tohit that boosts snipes to max damage on a perma basis, and the defense is nothing to sneeze at with +4% before enh to all.
  22. Ive dumped some people into this thread with woe-is-me i cant find inf. Hopefully they are lucky. 🙂 For me, its just a matter of time to commit to marketing.
