  1. Yeah. This is pretty stupid, and it really is no fault of the devs. The player base (a sizeable number of which I am betting have simply been armchair quarterbacking and not testing) are solely at fault for this pretty pointless nerf-ish action.
  2. There was so much complaint about evasive man that I don't think anything they could do would be a "win".
  3. They achieve it stacking a wide variety of powers, enabling people like defenders to clear a 4/8 itf SOLO. One of those key powers are RoP. Guess what? Not everyone builds for JUST defense.
  4. Let me help: Fly is 50% faster in beta. (crazy minmaxers and statisticians will get the not a joke at all real statement here)
  5. This is the first ???? post I have seen in a while. I generally hate tank play. That being said, I found 2 tanks that I actually really love. They have a fit in every team. I have a third tank I am mixed on, but absolutely adore the enm portion of that tank. (this is probably due to not enough slotting of anything status). That tank love came directly out of page6whatever. I have an enm stalker, scrapper, tank. I had an enm stalker from before the changes, and frankly, the changes makes that char zing along stupidly. The enhanced cone and aoe sizes on a tank make enm shine REALLY nicely. No AT is required. None. Ever. You can run a superteam of any one AT with any powerset combinations, _and still stomp ass_. EVEN a team of 8 tanks. I see you have _3_ posts, two of which are in this thread. Either you joined just to complain, or you just joined, in which case there are vast changes that have taken place since Live shutdown and Today that you probably aren't aware of. That you reference diversification as a reference point makes me confused at best. ED is a ship that has sailed so so so so so many years ago that its like saying the ancient greeks had the best heavy metal.
  6. Just ran 6's arc this morning with 6 people, mix of incarnates, a 50 with zero incarnates (me), and some not50s. We ran it at +4. Some deaths here and there. Massive bloodfest in the final avatar smasher fight. End result? Team said they felt Strong and Pretty (these were not the words that were used). Badges all around. Right level of toughness, team mix, player count. Team was Run What You Brung. Nobody alted to change team makeup. It was purely what everyone just wanted to play. We had 1 scrapper, 2 tanks, a troller, and a dom. up against 3 54+2 avatars, and it was amazing. You can have a not-boring, challenging, FUN team.
  7. And undeniably, hitting 14 to get your travel power, or 20 (22?) to get stamina were also defining bits of character growth. I, in no way, want to revisit those days. Count me all in on the speed updates. Moreover, it is all moot, since if speed scales with relative level, exemping to low level TFs, teams, or trials will result in a pretty significant impact to how fast/effectively those can be done. No thanks! 🙂
  8. Could be. In which case my Bio-everythings would really appreciate some of that goodness.
  9. Im pretty sure it wasn't overlooked, but intentional design flaw in the power. Fighting already has enough stupid things you can do with it, adding more to the list is probably Not A Good Idea.
  10. its ragnarok. Rainbow bridge (bifrost). Straight from norse mythology.
  11. There is a lot of "i never knew this content existed!!" floating around when I run teams. At all sorts of levels of difficulty, with all sorts of teammakeups. My teams have always been runwhatyoubrung. An interesting challenge with newtoyou content (like new to you cars) is always a win. There is an enormous stack of content. When was the last time someone spawned Kronos?! Just a Just Asking example...
  12. 3 gfriends and I ran that freakilok arc this morning. 3 of us werent really io'd out much at all. We had a squid (cough, lobster), 2 tanks, and a blastroller. We ran at 2/4. Was good run. A few deaths. We made it through The Rave without too much death. It was fun, we enjoyed ourselves, merits were had, difficulty was just right. There was no need for 4/8 to be challeneged, have fun, and everyone feel useful. The Rave though man. phew.
  13. A LOT. People actually have blaster builds that pretty much stand at tank level of toughness. Seen them in action. They are legit no joke. RoP isn't that hot below incarnates. At incarnate level, rotation of buffs gets you to be pretty much unkillable in totality with 100% uptime, with enormous gobs of damage. Seen it done on a huge variety of blaster/cor/def types.
  14. It is the same opportunity cost as the other t5 oshit buttons. It now just has the same duration constraints as those other t5 oshit buttons.
  15. There are no awful combinations. Hell, there are fully functional pool-only builds out there that can run 2/8 or better.
  16. Female fifth mechmen needing to be rescued. Not sure how many people around here go that far back. 😄
  17. They are marked. Book markers on maps. The story also kind of directs you to where to go next as well. It isn't always obvious, but when you get there it becomes , oh yeah, kinda thing. edit: It _literally_ looks like an open book with a book marker in the book. Its red. There are examples of the waypoint in atlas, talos, steel canyon, brickstown, rwz, (pi?)
  18. Why does the horse have to be... wooden? Trojan horses come in all different flavors...
