  1. If the stockings can come in different patterns that would be swell. Striped (both directions, different thickness of stripes), perhaps other patterns too like stars, hearts, other shapes.
  2. I takes literally minutes. Ask a full team if they can help you get the badge. They will also get the badge. Start an arc of yours in test mode, ideally one you've prepared to be as quick as possible - click a glowie on a tiny map. Then click the glowie.
  3. This here is the problem. Each category should be weighted by how many options it's got.
  4. What is this?
  5. Would a Nictus Cyst work? I don't know if they are available, but a bunch of other objects are.
  6. I have made some changes to this arc to make it possible to solo for most people by making Babbage optional... I also added some helper NPCs for weaker teams. Don't forget to turn on Arch-villains in your notoriety settings!
  7. Wall clinging and rope swinging.
  8. On the discord we talked about stances to replace Siphon Power. I suggested Yin and Yang stances: Yin Stance: when you take damage, your own damage is boosted. Yang Stance: when you deal damage, your damage resistance is boosted. Once you select Siphon Power (or whatever it will be renamed to), you are always in one of the two stances.
  9. I decided to make an attempt at updating the Synapse TF, inspired in part by comments made in this thread. If anyone wants to try it out and comment, here's a thread for it:
  10. I was bored so I decided to try to update the Synapse TF by myself. So I quickly threw together a new story arc, I hope it will showcase one possible way to update this old task force. I have drawn inspiration from the recent Weekly Discussion thread about task forces, so if you recognize your own ideas featured in this one, thanks for your contribution. The arc ID is 36457. Level range is 15-20, and the arc features both a giant monster and an arch villain.
  11. That would be cool, if I could save the power and call them in "as a favor" anytime I want later on.
  12. If Synapse zipped through the first four or five missions of his own TF and quickly gathered the information we needed, he can get out of the way while we deal with the actual threat. I don't need a babysitter messing up the final fight of a TF. However... what if the quest-giver "lends" us some of his power, in order for us to overcome the threat? Positron could give us a radiation emitter of some sort, to debuff Dr. Vahzilok. Synapse could grant us superspeed and a recharge bonus to out-think the Clockwork King. Yin gives us all psionic blasts to bypass Clamor's armor. Etc. Some signature powers as temp powers granted from the questgivers, to help us out in the final fight would be more fun than having another pet Hero running around knocking everything back with abandon (looking at you, Imperious!). If we abandon the Surviving 8 as TF hosts they can still give us their powers as part of each TF, we'd just have to go talk to them separately. But if we keep them, they can at least put a personal touch to each task force by letting us play with their signature moves for a bit. Even better if we get to keep the temp power for some time after the task force, too, and if it gets refilled after each run. That would be a more fun reward than merits in my opinion.
  13. This makes a lot of sense too. I can only assume that the Surviving 8 are giving lesser heroes jobs that are "beneath" them, as they are busy doing more important things. It would feel less insulting to be given tasks by a more grateful city official, than the scraps off the table of a distracted superior.
  14. Brilliant, and since the Clockwork King is already insane, it makes perfect sense that he's fighting himself.
  15. This looks good. I personally wish we didn't have to get a window like that pop up every time we want to do something with an enhancement. Right-clicking an enhancement could pull up a menu with options for it like "boost", "catalyze", "upgrade" or whatever. Options we don't have the salvage for would be dimmed out and unavailable.
  16. Good call, but Fusionette is inexplicably positioned in Kallisti Wharf now. I guess she can be moved back... No, I have it! Doc Delilah, of course! She would be perfect!
  17. I think the updated Positron TFs are great, but you're right, there's no reason for Positron to be the one handing them out. If anything, with Positron taking over the leadership of the Phalanx, and being the one kidnapped by the Praetorians in the endgame arcs, if anything he should be leading the fight against Praetoria in an entirely new TF. I don't know if there's anything left to do with the Praetorians but there could be some story left to tell in a task force format, which Positron should host from Peregrine Island, near Portal Corp, so he can send us to Praetoria to take out tactical targets in preparation for the trials perhaps. In fact, the TF could be a "practice run" of each trial, taking place on the trial maps but without incarnate level enemies of course. Playing the TF would let people know the maps and their components, so when they play the incarnate trials they have a better idea of what they have to do. Who would take over the original Positron TFs then? Maybe BAB? Or a new contact entirely?
  18. I'd put up Numina against the Circle of Thorns, but throw in enemies from Night Ward in the mix too, to tie her TF together with the Night Ward story and perhaps make that part of the game seem more like an actual part of the game and not some weird what-if adventure in an else-world. I'd also throw in War Witch in the mix, as well as the Midnighters. I consider the Surviving 8 the "core" of the original game, and their TFs are or were what the game was about. Now the game has moved on and those old TFs feel terribly dull by comparison. Numina's TF furthermore feels like half a TF. It ends with her telling us that she will devote her time to find a body for Woodsman's spirit, but obviously this went nowhere. At the very least we could have "Numina 2: Spiritual Boogaloo" which would be about her fulfilling the vow she made, and recruiting us to go to Night Ward and other magical locations to try to get Woodsman's spirit a body again. This could then lead to a new Woodsman contact added to the game, and an updated Eden trial, or Eden Trial 2: This Time It's Personal, or whatever.
  19. That's the reason I made a stalker who is the ghost of a dead racecar driver trapped in a robotic body made up of his junked car!
  20. It would be an entirely new powerset but I think it would be funny if kinetic melee actually teleported you to your target instead of having long range attacks. You'd basically have a powerset entirely made of Martial Combat's Burst of Speed. It would be the ultimate melee speedster.
  21. Thanks for the review, Kyksie!
  22. There is already a DE tentacle mob, not AVs but minions and perhaps lieutenants too. They are a little higher level, I think, maybe 15-20, so they would have to be brought down a bit to work for the trial. But other than that they would be perfect.
  23. That's the funny thing about these tentacles: they can move around, which looks silly when they move on a normal floor, but should look perfect in the sewer water.
  24. I agree that it would be awesome to see more human followers of the DE on lower levels, and I also feel like the story arcs could use some editing, since there are many contradictions between and even within them. Is the Will of the Earth a virus, a bacterium, a fungus spore, or something else? I think it's been called all three of these, sometimes in the same story by the same contact.
  25. I don't pvp but if they can make a change like this apply only to pvp, why not simply ask them to remove rooting from all attacks in pvp, if it's that much better?
