  1. I applaud you, you really stepped up your game! First quitting teams, now you're quitting your own challenges?! Incredible!
  2. Here's an ancient one I shared about 10 pages back Looking back it's only a few minor tweaks away from being perfect (for me), but it still serves just fine at 50.
  3. I think you might just be overthinking it a bit. If the recharge of your next is shorter than the animation time of the previous one, then you can queue them up seamlessly, and if you can chain a handful of those together (even if it means repeating a couple of those powers) then you have a rotation. Arcanatime doesn't really have an effect on that. If you're referring to the build we discussed in discord, it probably doesn't feel seamless against a Pylon since it hinges on FF procs to be smooth. I personally don't build for Pylon testing ever, mostly just what feels effective in a "real combat scenario". We can do some exploration in game if you need it. I don't mind! Though it might not be for a little nit
  4. I consider an explainable bug an exploit! I would much rather fight 6 SS/rad debuff clones than 6 unkillable SS/rad clones.
  5. Make sure you 6 slot brawl with D Sync Provocations for ultimate cost efficiency!
  6. My net value is spread across multiple toons in the form of care packages. If I pool it all together, I think I'm still sitting around the 2bil+ mark.
  7. It's not a bug! The shadow clones pull from AE data, and Radiation Armor doesn't exist there (yet). So any Rad Armor toon's clone gets Radiation Emission instead! These days if I do TFC TFs, I find them a lot more interesting to solo. There aren't any even con AVs in those that can't be defeated with a tray full of reds!
  8. Welcome to the game! Radiation Armor is an exceptionally strong set that becomes cruise control once you start climbing up in levels. Fiery Melee is a devastating burst damage set, and Tankers benefit from an extra AoE that other ATs don't get (they get another ST attack instead)! Both of these sets put together are very strong in any situation, but the main "drawback" is that you'll have to take pretty much every power in both sets. As for build goals, the #1 thing this combo seeks the most is high recharge for your buttons! This makes the protection of Rad Armor and the high damage of Fiery Melee more consistent. You don't have much to worry about on other fronts, since Tankers are naturally tough by design! Anyways, I'm better at constructing builds than words. Here's a very simple one that uses zero Very Rare enhancements! ok well maybe I use superior ATOs shut up very simple - Tanker (Radiation Armor - Fiery Melee).mbd Very clean IO sets! No tricks! So easy a caveman could do it! Well, ok, there's one trick. I'm sure the first thing you'll notice is that Ground Zero's slotting is a little suspicious. All of those enhancements have a chance to deal additional damage separate from the base power of your attack. This power will pretty much turn you into an atom bomb, so I will always insist on this method of slotting. Never forget to slot your Archetype Origin enhancements! Every AT has 2 unique sets, and the Tanker ones are really strong! You can obtain these either by buying them directly on the Auction House, purchasing Super Packs and opening them (this becomes more cost effective the more funds you have available), or trade 100 Reward Merits at the Merit Vendor for them. As far as every other enhancement here, I wouldn't be too intimidated by the cost of anything once you start learning how to use Enhancement Converters. It's too much detail to go into here, but they can effectively cut the cost of any build down by roughly 80%! Use Particle Shielding on cooldown! "Absorb" is essentially a temporary layer of extra HP. It gets subtracted from first when you take damage! very, very rare exceptions to that As for attacking, you can use Greater Fire Sword, Incinerate, and Fire Sword for ST, and pepper in Combustion and Fire Sword Circle for AoE. Boxing is just slotted for set bonuses and isn't a great attack. I hope some of this info helps a bit. You can also PM me here or ingame @Spaghetti Betty. I'm always willing to answer any questions! And here's a more advanced build for when you're ready to push your toon to the next level!
  9. In normal content, I prefer bad teams because it means I can be perfectly content doing whatever I want! In Advanced content, I prefer good teams because it means I can be perfectly content doing whatever I want!
  10. Not at all! My builds usually get one pass and I just hope it turns out ok. Thankfully, I trust my understanding of the rules enough and I've had a lot of stuff turn out to be very fun!
  11. Super Strength please!
  12. No need to fix it, it's perfect!
  13. Stomping the ground and causing a rupture so powerful it sends multiple enemies flying and stuns them. Much subtle, very sneak.
  14. This is what I was tooling around with on mine: Wow - Tanker (Bio Armor - Martial Arts).mbd This thing hits like a truck and is probably also one of the safest Tanks on my roster. I decided to leverage Cross Punch into my rotation for another FF proc and AoE. All of my attacks chunk really hard and of course since it's a Bio Tank it's hard to crack and that's without sitting in Defensive mode. My rotation is a bit wonky (it usually looks something like CAK -> Storm Kick -> Crane Kick -> Cross Punch -> Storm Kick depending on FF proccing) but it works. I hope this steers you in a decent direction!
  15. That's a really creative use of the helmet! Nice work!
  16. I gave this a whirl for my main! As a refresher, this is Spaghetti Betty I rolled the Bing Image creator a lot, more than I care to admit! Using this prompt: cel shaded, style of artstation, city of heroes, plain background, no cape, white female, long ruby red hair, black fox ears with red tuft, wearing black-tinted red-framed round glasses, spiked collar, black long-sleeved shirt with a red tie, red pants with black tiger stripes, combat boots, black cat tail Honestly, it got really close on some of the rolls! Here are a few of my favorites.
  17. Just keep playing! Slot what you can. Archetype Origin enhancements should be your top priority when it comes to how you spend your inf. The Tanker ones are super strong! And Ice/Ice is a strong enough combo that keeps itself super safe even on just SOs, so you can rest easy on slotting until you're ready to expand your knowledge and push your toon to its limit. Keep in mind that mobs in this game are dumb enough to chase you around a corner to punch you! Use this to your advantage so you can get every mob possible inside your Ice Patch and Frost cone!
  18. It doesn't really directly affect me too much since I either solo or have my various dedicated groups to play with. It's great seeing the game alive though! I took my core group on a goldside run on Indom, and it blew my mind seeing a bunch of randoms running around!
  19. Wow! I'm the absolute worst person to try and teach someone with coherent thoughts! I'll give it a go anyway! Staff Fighting I happen to enjoy Staff Fighting a lot! While it's not winning any DPS races, it's certainly a more functional set than others kinetic melee, and presents a ton of interesting slotting opportunities! If you're just looking at hard numbers performance, then a lot of Staff powers would be deemed skippable. But really all that means is you should just use what you see fit! Personally, I skip Mercurial Blow, Innocuous Strikes, and Sky Splitter. I skip the T1 for T1 reasons, Innocuous Strikes because there's just something about the animation time I don't like (but I should mention that on Tanks it's worth taking despite the clunky animation), and Sky Splitter for the same reason! It's sooo slooow. What this leaves me with is a rotation of Guarded Spin -> Precise Strike -> Serpent's Reach. This is a pretty spammable chain with built in AoE that you can continue until the end of time, or at least until the Boss's HP is gone. Save Perfection stacks, as the buffs are great, or cash them on Eye of the Storm for big AoE! Regeneration Regen is a controversial beast that hinges a lot of its performance on the driver's skill. I personally think it's one of the strongest armors a Brute has access to! Of course, the nature of the beast means that YMMV. Pretty much everything in the set is a required pick, but I will skip Fast Healing in a heartbeat if I need another pick. Some builds can also forgo Quick Recovery if their recovery is good. But I'll tell you one thing: I never skip Revive! Rezzing yourself is an important option select! As far as Pool picks go, anything that provides extra recharge and burst mitigation will be great tools for Regen. By "burst mitigation," I mean things like Unleash Potential, Unrelenting, Rune of Protection, etc. Juggling these with your other tools like Instant Healing and Moment of Glory is how you live! For me personally, I like to choose the more consistent route of building RES and leveraging Rune of Protection so I know exactly how much damage is incoming. More on that later! Some other quick notes would be that Slow Resistance is the #1 most important kind of protection you'll need. Since Regen functions on clicks, you can't function if they never come back! This is a no brainer. And another thing to remember is that Regen's greatest strength is its ability to soak up team buffs like stains on an expensive T shirt! As far as a sample build goes, all I can offer is how I would build a Staff/Regen and my thought processes behind it. Woosh! Brute (Staff Fighting - Regeneration).mbd Staff is definitely one of the better pairings for Regen. Since it has some KD present, leveraging Force Feedback procs means we can keep our recharge healthy as we fight and not have to lose out on any other important set bonuses trying to chase global recharge! I was also pretty close to softcapping Melee DEF, but not having it is mostly inconsequential, as DEF is usually the first thing to go in a fight. -DEF is so prevalent, that it might just rival Slow in popularity! Both are present starting at level 1. Let's just build RES instead and consider the 39% DEF as a happy accident! To that extent, the strategy I use for keeping my RES high is to mix Rune of Protection and Instant Healing and juggle the uptime of that with Melee Core Hybrid. Here's what my RES and Regen look like with that going! With Rune + IH With Melee Core Embodiment (10 targets) Not too shabby! There's about 30 seconds of downtime between these 2 activations, and you can fill that with things like Barrier Core, Moment of Glory, or inspirations! This strategy is how I use my Regen Brute to take on some of the toughest stuff the game has to offer! Of course, not everyone is gonna love this approach and it definitely requires a lot of handiwork to run. There are plenty of other players that have massively different directions when it comes to tuning up a Regen. Hope this helps!
  20. Any publicity is good publicity!
  21. That's gonna depend a lot on your build goals, but a pretty universal slotting would be Golden Dragonfly: 2 acc/dam HOs, glad proc, 2 DMG procs, ff proc Sting of the Wasp: 4-piece MotT, Achilles Heel Soaring Dragon: 2 acc/dam HOs, 3 DMG procs, ff proc The 2 aoes are pretty much the same. If I wasn't at work I could probably illustrate this with a build or two. Maybe later!
  22. Katana attacks have extremely good DPA and even better proc math. Try a proc bomber that uses Golden Dragonfly -> Sting of the Wasp -> Soaring Dragon. You can do the same with for AoE with GD -> Flashing Steel -> Lotus Drop. Epics only push this further!
  23. This is about the only thing I would happily change about the build, but it's not very easy for me to find a good trade. Picking 1 power to leave out + 5 slots has been wracking my brain for awhile, but it still performs well enough that I can live without a triple nuke.
  24. Hello! I'm the lunatic goblin that only thinks about damage when building a toon! So what in the world am I doing in the Sentinel forum? Well, I am here to drop the one Sent I've ever had fun playing! I've soloed with it, teamed with it, and it's even been on some 4*s! Lemme preface the build drop a bit by talking about what I like about each set. Sonic Blast is what I consider to be one of the strongest primaries a Sentinel can pick. The main reason being the massive amount -RES that is brought to the table. A lot of the powers are also relatively quick and the nuke is super spammable, even if you don't have Amplify up. That stun is nasty and can instantly swing a battle into your favor if placed right! While Fiery Aura can be a bit on the squishy side, it's good enough! What I really chose it for was the extra offense it adds to the mix. Having a rez is nice, too, because sometimes winners die! Psionic Mastery is a force to be reckoned with. I wouldn't be lulled too much by Link Minds. The Sentinel version is pretty weak and not what I'm here for. Instead, special attention should be paid attention to the attacks provided. They're all super strong! You'll see in the build below that I opted to skip Psychic Shockwave, which is unfortunate, but I have Burn! Anyways, here's the build: breakcore sonicfire - Sentinel (Sonic Attack).mbd Now, before you start throwing tomatoes, hear me out! Do I have a smooth attack chain? Nope! Am I facetanking +4x8 mobs? Uh-uh! What this build does well is fit in nearly any scenario that is presented to it. Do we need a little AoE? Here I go! Hey, we need to dump some burst damage on this AV! I got you covered! Man, we could really use just a little bit of -RES! Say no more! And it does so with impressive grace and doesn't have a funny face! So I guess the next thing I can do is try to preemptively answer any questions that may pop up! Why no Shout? I mostly didn't take Shout because Mind Probe and Dominate are both quicker and deal more damage. Inherent -> Amplify -> Screech -> Mind Probe -> Dominate will slam a 54 boss in an instant, and that's good enough for me. If I didn't pick Psi as my epic, I might have taken it! No Siren's Song? It's super good now! There are a number of reasons for this. With Burn and Mind Probe being an essential part of my offense, I can't make great use of cones. I went with Howl over Siren's Song because Howl applies -RES. As a bonus, I didn't take Shockwave because I didn't wanna pay the KB2KD tax on it. How good is Cauterizing Blaze? I don't know! I'm not sure if I would recommend this build to the average player, but as someone that looks at Sentinels and would rather player a Scrapper or Blaster, this one continues to shine on my roster and sometimes I even log into it without a second thought! That's a huge win!
